egyptian_vampiress Ender, that is rediculously impressive. And thanks for a good pic of the BoS symbol. *steals* ninja Your stealing my precious pics that I use. Now how is my banners and pics going to be unique? gonk crying EDIT: Also, Thanks EV, it took me some time to get used to flash enough to actually put up something simple like a image. Then a few days to actually figure out how to shrink the file size since it kept coming out around 4.3mb, too large and very slow loading time, it would take about a minute to load on the page when I tested it. But I finally found out how to do it since Flash Optimizers only shrinks images, not the music and pretty much the whole file size came from the music, so I figured that I had to find a way to shrink the music, so I used a MP3 converter to change the bitrates, which took away a tiny bit of quality, but made the file shrink down to around 800kb using 24kbps bitrate, but as a friend said, it lost alot of quality, so bumped it up to 32kbps on the bitrate and it turned out almost exactly like it'd normally play, but at a file size of 1.1mb or 1.2mb, still small compared to what the flash file size was before before I learned shrinking tricks. The original file that showed the white box was just he music file turned into a flash file, couldn't add a image or anything and it came to around 850kb. So with learning flash to a degree, I'm able to get rid of the white box with a image, the bad side is that I have to deal with a slightly larger file than 850kb. Which means a little load time before the music starts up unfortunately.

egyptian_vampiress lol oh I just want the image to print out for..things. Dear God you put a lot of work into that. I'm impressed. I know, you want to print out dozens of full sized printer paper copies and hang them all over your wall until it's covered with BOS symbols, I understand. Mainly because I want to do that too. xd ninja And yes, I've spent tons of time in learning CSS Coding, Flash, file optimization, music optimization and conversion, etc. just for my profile. But I love learning new things and soaked it up like a sponge, better than being bored and wandering gaia aimlessly, it was fun learning all of that. Still have to learn how to put a Stop and Play button on the flash though, to give people the option of stopping the music if they want just in case their already listening to music, could be annoying for another song to start playing in the middle of the music their listening to. Then the play button would be for if they wanted to start it back up or something. But it'd automatically start once the page opened, they'd have to manually stop it if they chose not to listen to the music. But meh, I probably won't get around to learning about the button adding for quite awhile, especially when I'm content with my profile already.

lol You know, I hadn't thought of that. I had other plans, but that's a good idea...
how long did it take you to learn and figure all of that out?

About a week, the CSS Coding I soaked up fast since I'm already good with coding and whatnot and understood it quite well, I already have that part mastered to put images as backgrounds and use CSS Coding fluently now. The Flash, I'm still learning on and all of the file conversion and stuff, I already knew, I just had to find some converters and junk, let alone Macromedia Flash that would work on my computer. Sure, I could find Trial programs, but I dislike those greatly, I went on a search for the full programs and found them, mind you, I also had to find a full version of a pic editor like Photoshop. Yes, I ripped off tons of programs for this project, some of them worth up to $180, like the Macromedia Flash full version that I luckily found on limewire, then photoshop also being expensive, getting the latest version, but I got it all for free, that was the hard part, taking it off of Limewire and finding key generators for all of them to officially register the product and give me the full version. If all of the program finding didn't slow me down and time restrictions on the internet, I would of figured it all out in about 3 days with all of the pic editing, CSS Coding perfecting it and the flash making along with file and music conversions. So I could of had my profile done in about three days time if it wasn't for all of the program finding slowdowns, creating temporary roadblocks and halting my progress until I found the particular full version of a program that I needed to continue on with the project. Now I have them all and I can do it all at a whim if I had to. But I thought I did relatively good considering I had to start from scratch, having no pic editing programs, no flash programs, no optimization and converting programs, etc. I'm happy with the pace of my work despite knowing that it could of went twice as fast if I would of already had all of those, but with the quality it turned out, I'm happy, that's all that counts to me is that I'm happy with my own profile even if people thinks some things could be better.

Sure you have a chance at it, you just have to learn the CSS Coding, which isn't a big deal, save a copy of your current coding, take images and try them out in the different URL spaces and see where what shows up where. On the Photoshop, just regular photoshop, some computers come with it, some don't. This is a older machine and didn't, I just ripped off the very latest photoshop software, which would cost quite a bit in stores. As for Macromedia Flash, just download limewire and keep trying some of the files until you find a good Flash program that actually works, that's the hardest thing, most of the time it's only pieces of the program. But it depends how far you want to get into it I guess, I'd learn the simple stuff first, like CSS Coding and whatnot. Then if you want music, use this tutorial: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10587977It shows a simple way to put music in your profile, but that's where it creates the large white space unless you get flash, learn how to use it and successfully put a image in with the music file to show up, taking the place of the white box. As for MP3 converters, you can just try to find a trial version or something to use temporarily, convert some MP3s to lower bitrates and then delete the trial program. Everything that I learned was all self learned and frustrating, but if you set your mind to it, you'll get there, I gave you the basic to start with and I know your smart enough to go from there on everything. Anyways, I have to get off now, see ya later.

I'd like to discuss something with you. Take care

Everyone has the potential to learn coding. Is it strange that I find all of this coding and technical crap fun? confused Anyways, I'll try to remember and have a good night EV.
