The ghost smirked to himself. Typical amateurs... don't know their stuff. He disappeared from the mirror, wandering over to a corner, knowing this would scare Lor more than seeing him would.

"Then we'll have to find out...Once we find that out it will be easier to remove him" Koran nodded, though he wasn't sure how to go about doing that.
[back...so, what's the next move? like i said, i'm your pawn Ely.]

"I wouldn't know how to find that out... he doesn't speak, and I doubt he'd write it out for us. Is there anything else we can try? I mean... he seems linked to the mirror or box I found it in.... perhaps if we destroyed those? I don't know..."

"We're just going to have to do that then...Destroying the mirror and the box it was found in would be easier then trying to find it name." Koran nodded, "It may cause some problems though...so bare with me...it might get scary."

He furrowed his brow, not liking the sounds of that. He had forgotten the exact terms of what was good and bad for him in his present state, but he felt sure that either of those items being destroyed would not be a good thing. He had no way to prevent them from their current course, and he doubted frightening the girl would do much but provoke her more. He rattled the table in frustration, not knowing what precisely to do at the moment.

Lorelei jumped away from the table, yelping. Quickly, she grabbed up the mirror's box, and shoved both that and the mirror into Koran's arms.
"J-just do it! Quickly! Please!"

"Yes...yes..." Koran took the box and mirror, hobbling out of the wagon. Placing the the box on the ground, he took some flint from his pocket and got flame going, then threw the mirror to the ground. Stepping on it, he then smashed a bottle of holy water on the mirror. "Be gone with you! Be gone!"

A howling wind entered the wagon, carrying with it an ear-shattering scream. He felt no concious pain, though he was aware something was happening to what was left of him. He felt as if he was being pulled in a million different directions, none of which he wanted to go. Enraged, he stumbled around the wagon, knocking down anything and everything he came in contact with.

Including Lorelei. Her shriek blending in with the ghost's, she fell to the ground, gasping for breath as the wind was knocked out of her. The cold chilled her to the bone, and she hoped that, unlike the stories, ghosts couldn't take parts of their victims with them. The fear she felt made it seem like there was a pit in her stomach, but that would pass.
She hoped.

"Lorelei!" Koran looked back at the wagon and moved back as quickly as he could. "Lorelei, are you alright? Get out of the wagon...come out here to me."

At this point, he was acting on instinct. Unaware of what he was doing, he "grabbed" Lor by the leg. Without even thinking, he started to suck energy away from Lor, trying to stay in his wagon. He let go after a few moments, finding that nothing was working. This sent him into a blinding rage, unconciously increasing the screaming wind and continuing to destroy things.

Lorelei pulled herself up, body aching much too much from just a small fall. She struggled against the wind and the cold grasp on her leg, finally pulling herself free and dragging herself from the wagon. She tumbled down the steps, landing on the ground near the shattered mirror. "Muuuh..." she mumbled, eyes fluttering half-shut.

Koran fell to his knees and grabbed ahold on Lorelei. Pulling her onto his lap, he held her tight, screaming out slurs and curses at the ghost that was attacking her. "Leave her and leave this place!"

The little stunt he had just pulled with Lor had drained more energy than he had gotten. He was exhausted to the point where he couldn't move, and obeying seemed the easiest thing to do. He gave up, and let himself be pulled away from his home-- no, her home. He hoped she would take care of it.
Not wanting to leave without saying goodbye, he found his way to Lor. Leaning over, he placed a kiss on her forehead, the only way he could think of saying goodbye. His change in behavior was unexpected, but his mind was on other things now. With that final kiss, the presence left-- forever.

Lorelei shuddered as the ghost faded away over her. She opened her eyes, vision a little hazy, and pushed herself up, out of Koran's arms. Standing shakily, she smiled at him.
"I think... I think he's gone. Thank you." She dipped a wobbling curtsy, then fished in the little pouch by her hip. Pulling out the paper, she murmured the help-dismissing charm. Then she held out her hand. "Thank you... for everything. I don't have much, but..." Standing on her toes, she retrieved the butterfly that she had bought in Seinheph, and held it out to Koran.
"It's supposed to bring luck. Will you accept this?"
