Leith's gaze darted to Warakai and she found herself on her feet. She looked at the other two guys sitting around the fire and said quickly, "Come on, you guys are coming too. I don't think we should just let him go by his self. Someone put the fire out quickly and come on." She urged.

Mike swallowed. 'Am I...?' That wasn't right. It couldnt be right. Mike wasn't one of them. Mike was Mike. An average piece of garbage. A kid on the street with no morals or real dreams. He was just Mike, not this cosmically-gifted child. Looking away from Leith, Mike scratched his scabbed eyebrow with a finger. The conversation around him was filtered by Mike's thoughts. 'Why?' That was the real question. Who from his bloodline had this power? Had his grandpa? His great grandpa? His... brother? Was it randomly bestowed on someone? Was it a mutation, rather than a blessing? So many thoughts raced around his head in only a few short seconds. How many had there been before the Empire? How many were left? 'Well, I'm here.' Mike got a slight shiver. It wasnt a good feeling, considering himself an Elemental, a being from legend.
If Mike was an Elemental, what was his mission, if any? Hide out forever in a box? Go out and do good deeds until he dies? Take down the Empire? 'No way.' Mike lowered his broad spectrum back down to the four of them. Lucien was an Elemental. So was Mike. Was it okay to reveal himself? What if it was a trap? What if Lucien was an Elemental working for the Empire? Mike wouldnt know unless he did reveal his powers. 'Better safe than sorry.'
Mike's eyes flickered to Lucien. "So he's... he's one of them." Mike said dumbly. Blinking, his eyes half-focused on the fire. If the Empire heard about there being an Elemental on the beach, Lucien would be arrested for sure. Maybe even killed. Mike might be rewarded for it even. Or he might be killed as well. But what if Lucien was working for the Empire? The Empire was tricky. Mike half relied on it, half resented it. It was a necessary evil in his world. But maybe there was more to his world than he realized. More than he wanted to realize, more accurately. Mike got up, stomped out the pathetic fire, and gazed after Warakai. Wherever he was going, Mike was going too. After all, he needed that boat ride.

Lucien covered up the remains with the sand as he stood. He took out his pocketwatch spinning it with its silver chain and followed the others.

As Lucien kicked sand over the remains of the fire, Mike was very tempted to ignite Lucien's coat. Just a little. He decided it'd be better not to, unless anyone saw him. He still wanted to. Really bad. Just to play with this Elemental a little.

Warakai saw them following him, though he wasn't sure he wanted them to but there was very little he could do, after hearing the discussion about the old ways being crushed beneath the boot of the empire he had to do something. He wasn't sure if his actions would have much of an effect but he would achieve something even if it was just arousing the rage of the empire.

Lucien looked up as he felt another pang of annoyance. "No doubt about it.", he thought. "Someone doesn't like me in this little group" He kept his thoughts to himself, not wanting to arouse any conflict with the others. It wasn't safe at the moment. They were too close to society. He grabbed ahold of his silver pocket watch and checked the time again.

"Where are you going, Warakai?" Leith asked as she effortlessly caught up with him in a light sprint. She galnced back at his boat and breifly worried that it might be taken away by the tide, but then reverted her attention to the other water elemental.

'Soooooooo tempting,' Mike kept thinking to himself. He was right there, behind Lucien, thinking about singeing his coat. He didnt want to kill the guy. For one, he was an Elemental, and second, Lucien hadn't done anything terrible to him. Except for making that craptastic fire. Mike's competitiveness was good and bad, depending on the situation. This would be a bad one. Mike was great at creating fire, big or small. It was fun, so long as no one got hurt. But that camp fire... Mike licked his chapped lips. 'Just a little burn...?' Mike clamped his eyes shut and bit his lip. He had to stop that. He had to be nice, even if someone decided to insult the art of fire-making. As far as Mike knew, this guy was an ally. For now. He could toy with him some other time, away from the Empire's reach.

Warakai looked at Leith and smiled not his usual grin either there was darkness behind this smile "Im going to take a look at the ruins of those boats over there" he said pointing to the towering behemoths of the ocean showing no signs of being even slightly damaged.

Mike then realized where Warakai was heading for. He frowned. There were guards in this direction. "Uh..." Mike looked at Lucien in front of him, then Leith. "S'cuse me!" Mike jogged to catch up with Warakai, then started walking backwards in front of him, a finger seeming to keep the distance between them. "You do know where you're going, right?"

"He's right. They can't be safe, and they don't loko like ruins." Leith said as she glanced from Mike, to Warakai, and then to the giant sores sticking out from the black waters.

Lucien ran up besides Warakai. "Sounds interesting. Allow me to come with you." He pulled out another silver pocketwatch and swung that one by its chain as well.

"I know where I am going and I know what I will do when I get there" he said placing a hand on the leather satchel smiling at the thought of its incredibly dangerous contents. "The air is going to be cleaner tomorrow" he said a look of grim determination coming across his face.
