Han-gyong didn't immediately understand what "Fa'e" meant but as he studied Mik's wings and coloring, some meaning sunk in. "You're like that disgusting girl," he said with a grimace. No point in wasting words then. He got a better grip on his sword and lunged at the teen, aiming for the belly.
The guard prodded the now idle orb with the butt of his spear. "Some wierd ball. Kinda shiny." He shrugged. "Probably belongs to one of the ladies." He picked it up to keep the courtyard clear and returned to his post with his partner.
Inside the palace, the long hallway Sei was in stretched out both east and west. And the end of each were two turnings, the south turning for both was another covered hallway, the northern the open walkways. Straight ahead a few yards was an exit to the north courtyard, unguarded on the other side.

Well, he had made it in undetected. It was a good thing, and this side seemed blissfully free of guards.
Though he was now faced with quite a few choices - and he had no idea which one he ought to take.
If I was trying to keep someone captive, where would I put her ?
...Unfortunately that logic did not help much, as Sei was very not the type to keep someone captive.
So, he headed for the one path he could see was clear - north.

Unfortunately, Mik had almost no experience fighting against someone with a sword...there was only that one time with Dusty, and fighting a deerkitten and a grown man were two entirely different things. He didn't know how to anticipate strikes, and consequently he didn't move nearly fast enough. The man hit him exactly where he was aiming for, and the angel staggered back with a grunt.
But not without grabbing hold of the sword, which he sent flames up the length of - hopefully to burn his adversary or at least surprise him, maybe into dropping his sword.

Han-gyong smirked, satisfied that he had the upperhand here. At least until flames rolled up his blade, burning his hand before he could pull his sword away from the Fa'e. He beat frantically at his sleeve with his free arm, trying to keep the fires from spreading. With the fire put out, he lashed out again angrily, not aiming now that he was mad.
Outside, the courtyard was twice as large as the last and just as empty. The two guards continued to patrol the walkways while the other pair stood by the door, oblivious to Sei or the commotion in Han-gyong's rooms.
((Mik is at 13/15 health, Han-gyong 6/7))

...Well.
That did not help much, did it ?
Hm.
It felt very much like searching a needle in a haystack... He had no idea where to go. So, he continued, senses alert for the guards and watching out for anything that might be a clue - such as a room more guarded than the others...

This time, Mik managed to avoid the attack, although the movement was hardly graceful. It did put him in range to make an attack of his own, however, and he slashed for the man's sword-arm.

Throughout everything, Seung had been tossing and turning, to restless to sleep. She had only been able to contact Mik last night and what were the odds that he believed her? She finally gave up on sleep and decided to take action on her own. Quietly, she changed into the plainest clothing she had here (still more layers and decoration than anything she wore at home) and tiptoed to the door. Soo-ni ignored any sounds from Seung's room at night now, so hearing a swishing sound behind her was odd.
Seung looked back to see a red silk wrapped box in the middle of her floor. It was her ham, a wedding gift from Han-gyong's family. It shouldn't be on her floor at all. She stepped forward, it moved an equal distance toward her. She stepped back and it didn't move at all. Forward again and it followed. Seung sighed and slumped her shoulders. She had a good idea why it was doing this. Inside was a marriage license, which Seung was supposed to keep until she died. Apparently the ones in Heaven took that literally.
She couldn't have the box sliding after her while she was making her escape. So she picked it up by the ties and took it with her. Maybe she could bludgeon someone with it if need be, it was heavy enough. Ham in hand, she slipped out her door onto the walkway around the courtyard. Her rooms were on the western side; if she was careful of the guards, she should be able to get into the air and try to make an escape from up there.

Han-gyong blocked the swipe from Mik and did his best to turn the dodge into a sword-stroke.
Seung's timing was bad; the guard on her side of the courtyard saw her slipping out of her rooms. "Princess Seung Mei, what are you doing up?" he asked, walking up to her. His tone was indulgent and patronizing rather than accusatory. "You should be resting now you know. It's late."
As the guard spoke, Nimaina's bracelets glowed again.

Sei had continued along, and had been ready to head east, until...
Princess Seung Mei...
....Was that... ?
The blonde darted the opposite way, peeking toward the hallway. Sure enough, there was a guard, and...
Yes, he could remember seeing her before, that had to be Seung ! Now, hopefully she remembered the same of him, or at least realized he was not a threat. He made a sign for her to distract the guard, as he slid by and attempted to come closer, where he could either attempt to shoot or try to knock him out with the cross of one of the handguns he had motioned to take out as soon as he had heard the guard.

s**t! Without time or room to dodge, Mik did the best he could, and used his left hand to take the blow from Han-gyong's sword. Even as it cut in, he curled his fingers around it, hoping to at least impede him, and stabbed at his opponent with his knife.

Oh, no Seung thought in dismay. One step out and she ran into a guard. Her luck was not good so far. Before she could respond, she saw a flash of purple and blond behind the guard. She tried to get a better look without the man noticing.
She recognized that boy. She'd seen him before with other Fa'e, but had never talked to him. If he was here, did that mean Mik was too? No time to speculate though, the other Fa'e was trying to tell her something. Maybe to distract the guard?
"Well, um," she stammered and hid the ham behind her back. "I just couldn't sleep and thought some fresh air would help me. I'm nervous about the ceremony after all. Could you escort me on a short walk?" she asked, trying to get him involved in conversation.

The angel grabbing his sword through Han-gyong off balance. Mik's stab hit him in the upper chest. He hissed in pain and yanked his sword free, pulling the knife out with his momentum. Clumsily, he tried to attack again, the stab wound throwing off his form.
((Mik is at 12/15, Han-gyong is at 3/7))
The guard raised an eyebrow. "You're dressed very nicely for taking a stroll at night. And what's that behind your back?" Now he grinned, still not suspecting anything. "Going to have a late night get-together with your friends?"

Closer and closer... Seung seemed to have understood what he wanted perfectly. and he was working it to his advantage. Shooting might have been more efficient, but there was the possibility that it might fighten the girl, and he had no idea how to warn her.
So, instead, he switched the hold of his left hand to the barrel and launched himself, aiming for the guard's head.

The wound in Mik's stomach was slowing him down, and the pain from it and his hand were a distraction. Even though Han-gyong's attack was clumsy, it grazed his arm and threw off the angel's own next attack, an indiscriminate slash for anything he could hit.

Sei's attempt to pistol-whip missed, just brushing the back of the guard's head. "What was that?" he yelled, whipping around his spear behind him.
Seung backed up a pace, dodging the other end of the long weapon.
