Faolan nodded, eyes closing a little in contentment. He moved to kiss her forehead, then settled beside her. "It ain't bad here in Farstep. Take what people say with a grain of salt and learn to laugh at a lot of stupid stuff. We'll work on the rest later. Might even teach you to juggle."

"J-juggle? Um...... maybe something else....... I'd break things," Ellandra said, blushing sheepishly. There were few limits to her clumsiness when she tried anything that required concentration and physical skill. Something was very, very likely to get broken. Faolan would realize that in time.

Fao opened his eyes a bit more, smiling. "Come now, lass, you think I was born able to do all this? That I sprung forth with tarot cards in one hand, juggling balls in the other, and bells about my hips? I had to learn, same as you will. Even if it takes awhile, you should learn a few things so you can help out around the carnival. Da will insist."
He let his eyes close slightly again, relaxing next to her. His hand idly stroked her hair. It was truly a moment of complete bliss for him. "Besides, if I'm training you, it's time we can spend together more."

"I... I suppose," Ellandra conceded tentatively - though she supposed that if worst came to worst, she might just be asked to stop trying to do all of this in order to save the expenses of replacing broken objects.

Faolan hummed softly, nodding. "We'll find an open field for the juggling and acrobatics. Before long, you'll be swinging from the trapeze and riding elephants with the best of us." He stretched a bit, adjusting his position next to her to get comfortable.

Ellandra squeaked. "Faolan.... I'm scared of heights..." she said, then paused for just a moment and added as an afterthought, "...and the elephants would just squish me."Still, she found herself more complacent with the idea than she had thought she would be. Maybe it was just because she was tired.
Either way, she was happy, and comfortable, and - and.... mmmmmm.... so tired..... she snuggled a bit closer to Faolan. Oh yes, she was most definitely going to be very happy here.

Faolan chuckled, deep and throaty. "Well, then we'll just have to get you job as a burlesque girl." He opened one eye, a mischievous twinkle showing in it, before closing it again and snuggling against her. After a few moments, his breathing slowed and his body relaxed.

"B-burlesque?!?" Ellandra squeaked, her face flaming up for a moment before she rolled her eyes and swatted Faolan very gently, snuggling up to him and closing her eyes. She was truly content and happy for the first time that she could remember, and she relished that feeling as she followed her fortune-teller into sleep.
