I am ashamed that I was not there for you. I am sure that your Leelee watches over you even now. Perhaps it was her influence that allowed me to find you.

"How could you have been there for me?" she asked incrediously. "Don't be daft. I lived in a huge city. You would have stood out like a tree."

I would have found a way had I known you existed.

I do not know yet. Perhaps because we are both weary souls in need of a friend.

She rolled onto her back and stared up at the leaves and night sky. She closed her eyes slowly, breathing deeply.

"Only always," she mumbled, eyes still closed. "You said made for each other, then you say maybe it's because we're lonely. Either it's a contradiction or there is some higher power and he has an evil sense of humor. and he's have to be a he, no one else could be so cruel. I just don't know what to think anymore. Other then that I need more practice. Three of them and they laid hands on me..if there had been four it could have turned out much worse. And of course I'm in trouble for defending myself well. Suppose the jerk principal would have thought it was well and good if I had just stood there and simpered." she growled, ire rising. "MALES!" She made a scream of frustration then pushed to her feet. "I should practice. I should. They might sic their little friends on me for revenge, course, theres no way THEY could come after me again any time soon, I made sure of that. Thats for sure!"

Practice sounds like a wonderful idea. Would you like me to be your sparing partner?

As you wish. Then I would like to watch. Perhaps there are some things I can teach you to help you avoid injury.

She shrugged a bit and walked a bit, looking for... something. She found a spot she liked. She studied a single tree that was away from the others a bit. she nodded and walked away from it a few steps. She took a few deep breaths, her back to the trees. then she crossed her arms before her, and slowly, looking as though she was hardly moving, she slipped two dagger s out from a sheath under her pants waistline. One in either hand. another deep breath then she spun and attacked the tree with a vengeance. for an untrained human she's very good. But she is still human, and still only self trained. Her methodology is mostly moving. she keeps ducking, weaving, sliding around, attacking multiple different points. A decent enough idea... provided the battle never lasts long, and that she has the endurance for it.

Not bad. Though what happens when you have mutliple targets? You are only focusing ahead of yourself, which leaves you open for sneak attacks from all other sides.

"It's hard enough to practice with a stationary target. No trees are trying to blindside me."

By focusing on one, you blind your other sides. Try stretching your senses out in all directions, feeling the earth and the air and letting them aid you in finding your enemy.
