silentswordsman12 Trumpet's are cocky aren't they? All of ours are. Our precussionists are super geniouses and are good at everything. Everyone asumes that clarinets have to be meek girsl, wich is totally not true (even though I fit my sterotype sweatdrop ). heart I love male flute and clarinet players. heart They are not all gay. I have to try to explain this to my dad because he just dosn't believe it's physically possible for a straight guy to play a clarinet. But I have to admit I've only met one male clarinet player that didn't seem oddly femanine. thats usually only true about guy flutes, ive known several male clarinets that arent like that....

Kori-Hisaki SAxes are the best. When the woodwinds aren't loud enough, When the brass aren't smooth enough, u got saxes. yeah, the ones that are playing loud enough to cover the entire band and sound a little like a bunch of geese.... at least in our band.... theyre almost as annoying as the trumpets....

the one my parents (who happen to play trumpet and trombone) like to stress :All Brass Are Perverts... probably why i play clarinet.... although i do know exceptions.....

That Flutes are Obnoxious and at my school they are. and they can't dance either.
That Percusionists are lazy. I'm a percussionist. WE ARE NOT LAZY. we have ten times more practitces than ANYONE else. the week after we got out of school we had a week of drumline camp just to work on technique. we just had a week of drumline camp and we've already learned most of our music. we have at least two or 3 competitions we go to other than the full band competitions. Again i say WE ARE NOT LAZY.

Some people think we are lazy but most at my school thinks we are the greatest thing to ever walk the earth (especially the football players and wrestlers). In my oppinion though, when I think of tuba players I think of big strong or chubby dudes (sorry for that one.) But there is on exception where this small asian kid in our band who marches tuba and during pep band stands next to the drumline that are standing infront of the stands and dances with them o_O.....

A popular one in our band is taht all percussionist are a little..off.
My mom was a percussionist, and she agrees that drummers are a little strange.
I've discovered that (at least in our band) all stereotypes involving trumpets are true, but only with the male trumpets.
One that I hate is that all tubas are fat, nerdy guys. Here, our entire tuba section is female. In fact, one of the other tubas is about 5ft and weighs 90 lbs.

The Color Fiend This is only for my school:
Percussion: Cocky but funny people.
Tubas: Loud fat guys.
Trombones: Loud and don't care about band.
French horns: Normal.
Saxes: Talkative.
Bassoons: Silent and bad players.
Oboes: Silent and good players.
Flutes: Normal.
Clarinets: The good ones are quiet, the bad ones are very annoying.
Trumpets: Cocky assholes. 'Bassoons: bad players' my a**. theyre usually the best in the band. EDIT: IM SORRY!!! i didnt look at were you put 'only for my band'..... hahaha SOORYYYY!!!

Flutes- Blonds, Stupid, Girly, Obnoxious.
Clarinets- B*tchy, loud, never can make decisions, back stabbers.
Saxophone players- Think there all that, nerds, pot heads.
Trombones- Sucks terribly and way too quiet.
Trumpets- Fights, think there gangster, loud, obnoxious, idiots.
Drums- Never listen, cocky, stupid, think there all that.
Tubas- Tiny preps in it for the easy grade.

My brother is a trombone player and this is what he explained to me.
all piccalo and flute players are snobby bitches. (i've noticed this, it's true, im not a snob but im a b***h so it works) they are also all REALLY pretty.
Saxaphone players are all just kind of douche bags. ( i've observed this too, not to say you are a douche if you play the sax but all of the saxaphone's i know are really big douche bags to EVERYONE)
french horn players are losers
clarinet players are posers
Drummers are stupid but hillarious, and over all AWESOME!
And trombone players pwn every one else
and there was something about suzaphones, however i do not recall.
i only think a few of these are true..

Percussion: Insanely awesome, really fun to be with, cocky but has a right to it
Tubas: Loud, obnoxious, kinda chubby.
Trombones: Loud, doesn't care what people think, proud.
French horns: About the same as trombones but a bit quieter.
Saxes: Tall, Sweaty, Loves Jazz.
Oboes: Annoying as hell.
Flutes: Pretty normal, they have their moments though
Clarinets: Kinda shy, really cool though, can always get others in a good mood.
Trumpets: Cocky SOB's, worse than any Percussionist I've ever met.

As proven by my band, they are as follows:
Percussion: Lazy asses who never play when H tells them to.
God if we're so lazy, why are we the only section in concert band that has to stand? gonk
Trumpets: Think they're so awesome that they can up the octave for tuning. :l
French Horns: Can play the right notes without cracking but only if you go one note at a time. Will someone please escort Shamu out of the room?
Trombones: Never in sync and will always blame Paul (a trumpet) for everything.
Clarinets: 1sts are cocky, everyone else isn't loud enough.
Flutes: OH MY GOD STOP THE PAIN. GET IN TUNE OR DIE. No seriously, ours are nearly always out of tune. And they're pretty much all girls too.
Oboes: You have to make fun of the lead oboist. You just do. Even though they don't sound like dying ducks, you still have to make fun of them for being oboes.
Saxes: Easily distracted, obnoxious, and lazy.
Baritones: never practice, but still somehow sound good.
Tubas: The only girls in the band who are tougher than the boys despite being girly. With maybe the exception of me, the girl percussionist. xD

One that I know is that when people say Violin or Piano player, everyone thinks of a really smart person or an asian person. It's rediclious.
Also, everyone in our Orchastras thinks that Viola players are slackers and play horribly.

XD This is only for my school Flutes-best in band, always listen to the teacher (probably cuz they're up in front and the teacher has an air horn) Clarinets-what clarinet? they never show up to ANYTHING saxophone-major adhd but funny trombones-serious but good players trumpets- same as your school xD save for one Drums-same as your school (trust me i was in drumline for a year) tubas- very good players, listen and know how to play.
