Well it's one thing to think they're not putting in the effort. It's another to know you could do a better job yourself! You must be doubley upset about it.
Btw, I love your concept for the new edit layout. I was going to quote your post about people not knowing how to script and include a heart since I fall in that category buuuut I was too lazy. Anyway, it's fairly fantastic. But the only thing I didn't understand was.. it's just like a dressing room right? You'd still have to order seperately the old way on Gaia in a thread yes? Hm.. the only way I could see around that is if there were a save limit and people registered on the page (since you Do have so many edits, I think peopel would), and if there were a set price to claim X number of paid for saves. Lots of work, I don't know the details involved.

There are several limitations to it, one being that you cannot label the separate outfits/wigs/whatever, they are all just listed as numbers.
Two, you would have to list the prices separately somewhere (I suppose you could put it on the tab, but that seems tacky).
Three, you can only upload 999 files per section, but again, I think I'm the only one who has to worry about having too many edits to fit into one tab.
For people who aren't good at scripting, I would have to explain to them exactly how to save the files that they want uploaded(save all files was numbers .gif, three digit numbers to be exact. so 001.gif, 002.gif etc) and give them account info for one of my mule's photobuckets. All you would have to do from there is upload your stuff into your folder and it would appear in your tab. I'd also have to send you the psd for the avatar so that you can get the sizes right on your file (the file needs to fit perfectly on top of the base, but with the base layer deleted), and the scanlines to put over it to protect it.
So yeah you would still have to order separately, and find the edit in the shop separately to add it to the order since the edit titles aren't listed, the numbers are (there is no getting around this with this script). Screen capping will probably be necessary if you were going to attempt to use it for a shop order, and even then it would be harder than just a simple shop order. I think using it as a display for sampling is better all around, until I find a better script. razz

I will send you the avatar base (and explain what you have to do in terms of sizing and format), the scanlines and the photobucket information for the site. I will be changing the photobucket information after each user is done uploading their edits, just to keep it safe. 3nodding If you are an avatar edit collector and you want to upload some bases, please AIM me at gyousanokon or PM me too. Your job is much simpler though, you'll just have to send me the png of the base you want (with the editors permission and signature, if it is an avatar edited base). I can upload them (with scanlines for safety from art theft) from there.

That's a speed challenge? I was thinking to see the most you could get done in an hour or something, or a day. On one edit that is.. I have a bad habit of doing them in a short time period and not wanting to change it. We can do a week and post WIP screen caps once a day (if you did any work that day). How's that? A week is alright with me if I've got work etc.
Edit: Maybe we could make a thread for it. Battle Editing biggrin
Did you want to do the same edit as practice for that other thread you had planned or just whichever each of us would like?

It would probably be better to do the same edit to make it fair, but I have a feeling that one of us may get them done a lot faster than the other, so different edits (whichever the other wants) would be fine too.

I think I'd have to take pictures of my manga and upload it from the camera. I'd like Phantom Theif Dark from D.N. Angel but I wasn't able to find a reference picture the last time I looked through Yahoo Images -_-
