I didn't even know this thread existed dramallama Kept going to chatterbox for my questions :B
but here's one that I just posted in the CB
Hey guys, uh.. when creating jutsu, if it's technically already "in" the naruto world, but not in the guild, do I use one of my 10 personal jutsu's to put it in? Because I'm just suggesting they be implemented in the system, but they're not exactly custom.. so I'm just wondering. mrgreen
I'm talking about jutsu that would be guild-wide(for that certain element) and not just for a certain clan too.
p.s. how many characters am I allowed to have at once?

yeah I asked them at the same time since I didn't know this thread...was here. sorry! xp edit: ALSO... wow I must be like a douche right now with so many questions sweatdrop sorry. But in the game systems forum in the "How To" thread, it says that taijutsu is rolling a 1d20+damage+ something else. I thought the system was 1d20 to see if you hit, and then random number generator for your damage? sweatdrop correct me if I'm wrong.

That's for attacking. Umm, could you quote the section in particular that leaves you confused? I just reread it and it looks fine to me. But basically...
to attack: d20 + melee attack bonus + taijutsu skill bonus
Skill bonus is 1 per 10 ranks in the skill (for now).
damage dealt (if using normal taijutsu style): 1 - 6 + str mod + taijutsu skill bonus to max damage only
taijutsu skill bonus is +2 per 10 ranks in skill.
So basically you are right =P

surprised ok so you roll a dice, and then how do you find your melee attack bonus? Or is that the ninja skill Ninja Weapons(Melee) in the new character sheet? also thats for ACCURACY. right? so that roll + 2 bonuses would be your DC for HITTING someone.
Damage is then dealt with random number and adding your bonuses to that, correct?
Sorry, it was just that the Snowball Wars thread got me confused about accuracy, forgot for a moment that accuracy could have other factors. sweatdrop sorry and thanks for putting up with me these past weeks. blaugh

uh, the How To thread still follows the old system >.> our current system. The Melee Attack Bonus should be on your character sheet and it's basically
your level + str mod
Skills all go to the skills bonus (in this case, Taijutsu). If you're attacking with a katana, it would be Ninja Weapons(Melee) in the new system, and Ninja weapons (Katana) in the old system.
i have to ask what you mean by DC since the DC (number you have to get higher than) for hitting someone is your opponent's dodge bonus, not your attack roll...

If there is no owner for a clan in the master clans and bloodlines list, can we just make a character for them without asking permission of anyone? for example: The Nara Clan pirate

The snowball wars did it like that so that everyone would be equal on the playng field despite rank. This way all the academy students and genin would get knocked out with one hit by a Kage. It was just Carlos's way of equalizing everything.
