Talon Delifane had been talking with a few of the Ents in the forest. They had been discussing the dangers that they felt were coming. The darkness of Mordor was sweeping the land. They had gotten word from Treebeard about something strange. The old Ent had not said much, just that he was making plans. Talon thought it odd, Treebeard wasn't the kind to make plans so quickly. Ents believed that one had to move patiently in the world to get to where they want to go. Well, he had been talking with the Ents when suddenly his stomach twisted and his ears perked up. He made the Ents hush and he lsitened as he heard people talking.
"Thhhhhat wooouulld beee commpany, no doubt." One of the Ents replied in a slow, monotone manner.
Talon nodded and hurried away as swiftly as he could. His feet didn't even seem to touch the ground as he ran through the forest. He dodged a Ent that was moving around and slipped through a few trees.
Finally he came to a path and the voices got louder. He crouched down and looked. he saw a group of people and he frowned. Why would they be coming through Fangorn forest? Did they not know the Ents did not like company? He took a deep breath and began to follow them. he did not notice that they were already being followed by someone else.

Anduin looked at Sila and nodded. "No doubt there will be humans, but I'd personally appreciate a good night's sleep and a meal. We'll just have to ignore 'em." She kicked her horse's sides again and whispered something in it's ears as the horse pricked it's ears. She seemed a little unsettle.

Talon followed them more. He could hear bits and pieces of their conversations and his frown deepened. Who were these people? What did they want? An Ent moved out of his way some and Talon gave him a look that told the Ent to be on his guard. He knew the Ents didn't pay attention to most things and weren't really keen on vilonce, but he knew that when strangers arrived the Ents were very catious. Too many of their brothers and sisters had been chopped down and burned recently. They wanted to punish those responcible for their deaths.
Talon hurried along, his feet moving slightly faster as he caught up with the group. He could see an Elf. Maybe two. He couldn't really make out alot and it annoyed him somewhat. It had been so long since he had seen other Elves or other people. He was nervous and curious at the same time.
Something then crossed his mind. Were they trying to follow the Fellowship? Were they followers of the Dark Lord? Talon had heard word about the great Ring of power and the fellowship long ago on a secret visit back to Rivendell. He knew all about it and what was going on and he agreed that the Ring had to be destroyed. He wondered if these people were friend or foe to that cause. He followed closely now to hear in on their conversations.

Through many long, loney plains Napier and Thomas travelled. Nothing could be seen, or heard, except for the wistle of the blowing wind. Thomas had not yet said anything, but Napier liked the silence. He Threw up his hood, but still kept a watchfull eye. Before him the tower of Orthanc (hmmm...spelling wrong?) slowly grew.

Elrothiel continued to follow the two figures (Napier and Thomas). So far they had not appeared to have seen her but she couldn't be sure. She was definitely within sight and within a couple of hours could easily have caught up with them for they were not travelling very fast. She was no longer able to keep out of sight on the plains and checked her sword Naraithas was loose in its sheath before striding on confidently.

It was getting near midday when Napier and Thomas suddenly stopped walking. "Shh! Do not make a sound Thomas." Napier had heard a crincle in the surrounding grasses. He sliently drew his bow and notched an arrow. He squinted his eyes and slowly turned in a circle.

"Screw you. I'm going to the Shire, gonna find me some spoons." Thomas walked away from Naiper laughing.

"Don't be an idot, fool. To get to the shire you have to go the same way anyway. Now silence!!! We are not alone!" Napier crouched in the grasses nearby.

Sila nodded. "I really.... It is hard to ignore people who are so... disgusting..." she quteily said something to Tharon. "I would really like to get some food and a place to rest as well."

Talon crouched in the bushes as the people he was following stopped suddenly. He watched them and listened. Who were they? he longed to know this so badly, yet he was scared to approch them. He watched them, his breathing matching that of the wind, blending in to it perfectly.
In his mind he began to remember the first person he had ever met in the forest...

"Who goes there?"
Talon was suddenly compelled to stand up. He came fasce to face with an old man wearing nothing but white. He looked like someone of importance, but Talon knew not who he was.
"Speak!" The man's voice boomed.
"I - I am Talon Delifane...I am from Rivendell, raised in Fangorn." He stammered. "Who-who might you be, sir?"
"I am no one of importance."
"It is my job to know who you are though sir. I am protector of these woods."
"You do a bad job at it."
Talon smiled faintly. "No, I don't sir." Two Ent's glared down at the man. "Now, tell me who you are."
The man took a deep breath. "I am Saramon the White."

The man he had met that day he came to find out was no man, but a wizard who was conspiacying with the Dark Lord. Talon felt like an idiot after finding that out, but that wa sin the past.

She had caught up now. One of the men raised a bow and, realising then the men must have seen her Elrothiel approached cautiously. She drew Naraithas and laid it flat on the ground as a gesture of truce. "Greetings." she spoke quietly in the common tongue. "I am Elrothiel, elf or Rivendell, though I have not been there for a long time. I have recently been in Fangorn and am looking for news concerning the rise of Sauron and the return of the Nazgul. Who are you and whose side are you on in the coming fight?"

Sila was quite for a while, but longed for some form of idel conversation.

"So," she asked rather offhanedly "what did you think about living in Lorine? I mean, I have been in Mirkwood, of course, and Rivendell, but never to Lorine and I don't know that much about what it's like. I have met elves from there, and other than you they have all seemed to be... well rather arrogent."

Napier, noticing the gesture of truce, also laid his bow down. "I am Napier of Rohan, and I cannot answer the other question. I do not know much about the "ring of power." I must know more before a make that desicion."
