Tic Tac blinked at what she was saying. It was making him feel good, very good, making butterflies fly in his stomach. That really never happened... He smiled at her... But at the same time he was so lost in what she was saying. She wasn't that sure if she understood what she was saying. "Can you say that again.... I really don't understand." He laughed mainly at himself. Before looking down at his feet just a little embarrassed.

Artemis raised raised her brows at his request, but smiled and obeyed, simplifying it, a bit embarrassed that she got so carried away. "Basically, life is a series of events that we experience... And love if something that completely changes the path. Without love, all of our paths would, ultimately, be the same."

Tic Tac smiled at her and nodded. "Ah I get what you're saying now." He looked up at the sky for a moment before his brow ruffled. He looked at her for a moment slightly confused before looking back up at the sky. "But I thought you couldn't love?" He Didn't turn his gaze away from the sky, that did confuse him. How could she know and say that about something that she didn't know?

Artemis was silent for a few moments, pondering his question... It certainly was justified. "Well... I suppose that it's just general philosophy... I must have picked it up from my brother," she finally replied, looking down at the ground, a bit embarrassed.

Tic Tac looked at her then back at the sky thinking. He nudged her softly, well more of bumped her a smile sigh coming out of his nose. "Mmm... Maybe..." It wasn't exactly the answer he was some what hoping for. He flicked his mane out of his eyes then looked back at the sky. He was thinking aobut going out and flying for a bit after this, clearing his mind. There had to be a reason why he couldn't get this female off of his mind.

Artemis scowled at his response, then thwacked him on his back with her tail - lightly - in response to the nudge. "Hmmm?" he responded, brows furrowed in a manner that didn't look angry, but perhaps a bit confused.

Tic Tac jumped as he felt his tail on his back. He arched a brow at her. "What? Did I say something?" He had a truly confused look on his face he wasn't that sure of what to say. He wasn't that sure if he said something wrong or not. He wasn't sure at all. The look on her face didn't do anything but make him more confused, he wanted to say more but he didn't know what to say.

She chuckled, "It was the lack of what you said, I suppose." The lack of response - the simple 'maybe' the he offered her - annoyed her, though it was not he that annoyed her. It had been his question and her inability to offer an answer that she could say she honestly believed in, and had pondered. She just... she wasn't sure. About anything, at the moment.

Tic Tac looked at Atremis still confused. He flicked his tail behind him, spreading his wings out for a moment then pulling them closer to his body once more. "I'm sorry. I wasn't that sure of what to say." He laughed at himself. "I'm so confused. Artemis." He looked at her with a soft smile for a moment. "I really like you Artemis, but from what you have said before you can't like me the way I like you." He chuckled slightly, a unsure chuckle. He was wondering hwy he just couldn't raise Mai then leave this area but there had to be a reason he stuck around.

Artemis was silent for awhile, considering his words. Finally, she felt it was time to be honest. "You know... When I'm around you, I feel something I've never felt before." He voice was quiet, as if she was embarrassed or ashamed of what she was saying. "I was told I'd never be able to feel love, but I asked for that because I never wanted to be hurt like that. But maybe... I'm being given this chance because you won't hurt me. Maybe it was granted that I wouldn't be hurt... Love in vain, you know...?"

Tic tac looked at her quiet surprised. He wasn't that sure what to say. He paused for a moment before moving closer to her. Nuzzling her softly before smiling softly at her. He moved closer to her, nuzzling her before licking her cheek. "I would never hurt you. Never... I love you." He murmured softly in her ear before looking down not sure of what she was going to say.

Artemis stretched her neck to lick his cheek in return, nuzzling his shoulder, since it was less awkward. "I think I love you, too," she replied in a whisper, smiling up at him her her soft, small smile.

Tic Tac was very much surprised at her answer to him. He pulled a paw up wrapping it around her and pulling her closer before spreading his wings out slightly as if to protect her. "I was hoping for that." He chuckled softly before licking her cheek again and smiling, his own purring growing louder.

Artemis chuckled and bumped him affectionately, "Good, because you weren't going to get anything else." She smiled at at him with that, her ears standing high out of her happiness.
