Shayla watches as Marth gives barely a nod toward the water gun that was fired over his shoulder. Anything to not look at the fire... "Frost! Use Ice Beam to saturate the flames!" Ben shouts, jumping off Speed to draw his sword. These pokemon were acting under tactics... like a human. Either there was an ambush waiting or something was up... "Ben, watch out," Shayla says, pulling an arrow out that she designed especially for fire fights: it was a scare tactic of her own. Instead of feathers for fletching, it had dried leaves. She pulls the arrow back, balancing it with her finger. She didn't want to harm unless if necessary... She lets the arrow fly, and it bursts into flame as soon as it flies straight through the flames, landing inches away from the Flareon. "Shay, did you just use one of your special arrows?" Ben asks, just as Fletcher, Shayla's Mightyena, barks. He prepares a Shadow Ball attack, and sends it flying through the flames, causing an explosion right in front of the two Rapidash. They both rear, and Shayla was thrown, also suffering burns from the fire. "Shay!" Ben shouts, and pulls her away from the fire. He saw the look on her face, it was of utter terror. She was petrified by being so close to flame, and yet her flower in her hair had suffered no harm, just parts of her shirt were singed. Who knew if the two Eevee-lutions had been harmed by the inaccurate Shadow Ball attack?

Chrono quickly turned and saw them, unable to change his eyes back in time. "K-Ke--"
His eyes rapidly spun back to the blue on white form, right in front of the boy and the Weavile. He was no doubt busted. Maybe they'll brush it off as nothing....but.... Curse my human finding skills.....
"Er....I.......your parents went..." he stammered. Finally he gave up. They had probably become suspicious anyway, so it was no use trying to hide it. "Your parents went down the river. I don't know if they're alive or not, but that's where they went, judging by the dirt in their house." he said with a sigh. He was ready for the impending questions, thinking of threats to use on them.

"Thank you" Kerelon told Chrono, noticing the change in his eyes. "Look, I know what I saw, but if you're still not comfortable telling us, then I won't ask." Despite what Chrono seemed to think, he was actually a very understanding person.
he admitted, trying to remember where he had seen those eyes.
"Regardless, we're still not going to ask about that if you don't want to answer. You're entitled to keep your secrets" Kerelon said with a big smile.

Richard and Dew had been slowly backing away since this was clearly going wrong. Before either could leave, the Shadow ball had exploded near Richard. Dew had jumped in front of him and took most of the blast. Both of them were knocked a ways. "Dew!" he called out in pokemon language. He lightly bit her as he dragged her the edge of the road. There were a few burns around her but seemed to just be knocked out. If it weren't for the humans nearby, he would have changed back and got her out of there. "Come on Dew, please wake up." his voice revealing he was very worried about her. He licked her face for a bit and nuzzling her before protectively standing in front. Not another attack was going to hurt her in this fight. A few tears actually fell down his face as he growled at the group eyeing the human that fell down from the Rapidash.

WAY too close....
"T.....Thank you for understanding......." He knew he'd have to tell them eventually anyway, but he wanted to be sure he could trust them. It actually felt kinda good to have a couple of friends--at least before he had to pulverize them if things didn't work out. Chrono hesitated a bit. "We'll see,"
"Anyway, your parents went down the river....I don't know if they're alive or not," he said after a bit.

"Ugh," Shayla moans, staggering away from Ben. Her palm lands on a tree, and it faintly glows for a split second as some of her energy was rejuvinated from it, a more human version of Synthesis. Suddenly she stands up straight again, and kneels down, looking at the Flareon. "I'm sorry about harming your mate," She whispers, "Please forgive us. We'll move out of the area as soon as we regather our things." Ben stares as Shayla, and how she was whispering so lightly it sounded like wind rustling through the leaves. He just didn't understand why she had healed so fast. "Shay... we really ought to get going," He murmurs, and she didn't listen at all. She was still recovering somewhat from her slight use of Synthesis. She was still way too in tune with nature. All he knew was that she was acting very odd right now. But then, the only other time she had resorted to using a Pokemon move Ben was close to death, and she was merely healing him...

(eek, i forgot about mikhail!)
Mikhail sprinted back to his alley, with a couple loafs of bread. More and more fights were taking place in that town, and after seeing the skirmish with the Primeape confused child, his alley didn't seem very safe anymore. He was tired though, so he retrieved Noel and Blaze, and then walked away from the town with the Flaaffy and Sandshrew following him. Hopefully the fight wouldn't bring him into it.
He walked for a long while, away from the town and occasionally breaking off some of the bread to feed his companions. Noel looked at him a little confused, wondering why they would leave their "safe" little home and worried about Voids and other dangers. But she trusted her master, knowing he was only trying to look out for their well-being.
(feel free to meet him if you haven't posted yet or you're wandering as well o: )

Richard's anger was clouding his judgement. Maybe it was the Void within himself. His eyes turned a tint of red as pure rage took over. He let out a howl before charging at Shayla. First he used Flamethrower until he got close enough, then he jumped up to bite her. Since he only had a fire abilities, his bite wouldn't be as strong as an attack but would still hurt. Anything to have his revenge.
Behind him, Dew was slowly starting to wake up. She couldn't get up yet but was aware of her surroundings. As she looked up, Spark looked down at her. He wasn't sure of what to do. This was obvoisly not part of the plan. Niether knew what to do right now.

"Hey, no problem" Kerelon told Chrono. "It's a policy of mine really. My clients normally trust me enough to allow me to get the job done my way, and without any questions asked. This also applies to when I have to protect people. I trust them enough to tell me the full story about themselves or why they need protecting, whether that be right at the beginning of the job or some way through. In exchange for that trust, they can trust us to protect them. Isn't that right Dark Frost?"
Dark Frost continued.

Chrono nodded and gave a little chuckle. He turned left and found the river, going down it at a slow enough pace for the two to catch up. Wow, they trust me already! I wonder if dragons are supposed to be trustworthy~
He couldn't help but a be a little happy though. They were an odd bunch, but...it felt good to have a person to travel with.

"SHAYLA!" Ben shouts, running to her aid. She jumps, though, something that wasn't a Synthesis on her fingertips. "Bad move, Flareon," She murmurs, and lands, pointing the glowing orb at her fingertip at Richard. It quickly turns into an all-out Solar Beam. "Shay?! What's going on?!" Ben shouts over the chaos, and when the dust cleared, he saw Shay standing there, panting. "Ben. Come here," She murmurs, and he walks over as she places her hand on his shoulder. Sorry about hiding this so long from you, but I'm not your average girl. In fact, I'm the human embodiment of Shaymin, She says in telepathy, her eyes glowing. "Is that why...?" Ben asks, and Shayla shakes her head. "I may be in tune with nature, but I don't know what's going on." She murmurs, wobbling a little bit. Using Solar Beam had drained some of her energy...

Richard was in mid-jump when he saw the bright glow of the solarbeam coming at him. At impact, he cried out in his human voice unable to keep up the disguise from the attack. "AHH!" That was the last thing he remembered before finding himself laying in the dirt some distance away. What he hadn't seen was a thunder attack from above taking most of the hit. All thanks to Spark.
Dew was struggling to stand up. Her legs wobbled trying to keep balance as she stumbed over to her trainer. More than once, she fell over still to weak to walk a straight line. Now it was her turn to nuzzle him into waking up. He only had his eyes open and was coughing up a flame every few breaths.

Angel played with all of the girls pokemon, while Wolfina just played with the ones on the pavement. "Flower, are you sure that this is safe for you to be in your legendary form? I mean, others might see you like this and who know's what might happen!" Angel whispered something to Love, who happily translated this to Wolfina. "She says that 'everything will be fine, and nobody out of the ordaniry is coming......or so she thinks.....'" Love looked at Clouds, who returned the look. Wolfina gave a nod at the Cressilia, and all of them went back to playing.

(i just remembered Mikhail isn't in alto o.o; i'll edit them all tonight or tomorrow x.x)
He left Daekoji, feeling unsafe in the town, his two companions walking alongside him. He started heading up the river beside the town, periodically feeding some of the bread to Noel and Blaze, and occasionally taking a clump for himself.
As Chrono walked on, a little ahead of the other two, he kept taking a few glances at the river next to him. He could see his vicious Rayquaza form, smirking mischievously back at him. Chrono smiled a little, noticing a small Groudon and Kyogre in the reflection, like a hallucination. I wonder how they're doing.... "Hey, kid--uh...Kerelon...." he suddenly spoke. "Why do you trust me so easily?"

[Bon and Skel: Alto Limits]
Bon had realized an incoming attack as a silhouette of the boy, Jay's, boomerang had presented itself in the dust cloud. Quickly, he grabbed his Altaria in quick relfex and had ordered, "PROTECT, you useless buzzard!!" The protect would eventually make it in time and would deflect the boomerang back to the thrower as it would.
Skel, on the other hand, had been focusing on his Fearow for the past few minutes. To be honest, he did not really care about Vileplume and Carnivine as he watched them take the fall from two advantageous attacks from Catastrophy and Devil - Vincent's Pokemon. Instead, he had shouted, when the dust cloud had surfaced from the center, "Fearow, Hyper Beam!"
A bright orange beam of pure energy cut through the air, shooting with great speed towards the ground where Carnivine, Vileplume, the Houndoom and the Weavile was. The Hyper Beam would create a crashing impact on the ground, destroying what earth and what area it had struck a hit on.
[Selena Flacid: Alto Limits]
"Empoleon, it's a Hyper Beam!" shouted Selena, who was making a run for it.
"Empo!" uttered Empoleon, who followed his master right away.
"Somebody stop it before it destroys us all!" added Selena.
