"Why would someone want to study Dragons? Unless their plans are sinister." Lishkra slowly got up, taking the blanket off. I wonder who his employer is.

((Sorry if this post shows up twice, but it didn't post the first time rolleyes ))
Reaper raised an eyebrow. "Indeed. But his future plans are not my concern... yet. Trust me, no harm will come to these dragons, at least not from me, or my employer." He smiled. "You are most cautious Lishkra, I respect that. In my line of work, you must always have a dagger at your friends throat, and a pouch of steel in your opponent's hand." Reaper grinned, pulling his bag out again. "Now, where is your cook? I have some delicacies from the south that you all must try!"

Seza listened to them all talk, sipping the tea she had meant for Lishkra. Her eyes widened when Reaper mentioned studying dragons. They were one of the animals she has not been able to study that much.

Lishkra felt the two steel in his pocket and grinned grimly to himself. Reapers words echoed back to him. In my line of work, you must always have a dagger at your friends throat, and a pouch of steel in your opponent's hand. A pouch of steel in your opponent's hand. We'll see what the outcome of your visit portends, one way or the other.
"We don't have a cook, and we only have one guard" Lishkra looked at Sergio. I wonder who Jack's employer works for. Lishkra's thoughts were dark and brooding.

"Don't have a cook?" Reaper scratched his chin. "Let me make you a deal then... I'll be your cook, for free, while I'm here. In return, I get the room free? You can keep the two steel. Also, if you need anything from the town, just ask. I'll be visiting it a lot while I'm here."

He would want me to keep the money. "Sure-Lishkra pulled out a key with a wooden tag; it had the number four inprinted on it-now tell me more about your studies."

Reaper smiled. "Not much to say, I was told to come up here, find the dragons, and study them. Their eating habits, their numbers, how they behave with each other. The same as you would do with any other creature." He put his hands behind his head. "To be honest, I hope I DON'T find them. Where there's dragons, hunter's aren't far behind."

Lishkra burst into laughter "Hunters!? Are you serious!? A few hunters couldn't kill a Dragon! It would take a couple battalions of archers, and an Archmagus at the very least."

Reaper shook his head. "Trust me, in the mountains I grew up in, hunting dragons was a past time for some people. All mages." He closed his eyes. "Now you see why I'm worried. My village is famous for it's mercenaries, many of them dragon hunters. They've scoured the planet, looking for spells, swords and arrows that are MADE to kill dragons..." Reaper smirked. "Never did like them, so whenever I meet a dragon hunter from up my way... let's just say I add a little something when I buy them a drink." He was showing almost no emotion, it was hard to tell if he was joking or not. "To be honest, I think the dragons up my way are weaker than normal dragons... or I hope they are. I'd rather not find out if these guys can actually take down a dragon at full power. Also, the people from my village... they are barbarians. They live just for fighting. If they can't get a contract where they get to kill stuff, they don't take it. I just had to get away from it." He pulled out a scrap of some kind of hide from his bag, holding it out. "If you ever come across someone with this insignia on them..." On the hide was a diamond shape, a circle inside it, with a black dot inside the circle. "Run. Just run."

"Ah you must mean younglings. Younglings are quite easy to kill, being only three times the size of a horse. Full grown Dragons are as big as this inn, sometimes biggers. Besides their size and strength, they are very intelligent creatures, much smarter than you and I.
The naivity of some people. "As for the insignia, why would I run from something so ludicrious?"

Sergio listened to Reaper's story intently and when the insignia came up, he recognized it almost immediately, "I've seen that before, he was a violent man, but I wouldn't call him a barbarian."

"Because, they are the greatest of fighters from my village... my speed and power are above that of your normal human, but I can be killed. I know that. These men... they are like gods. I fought one once, I hit him, full on, with my scythe, took his arm clean off! And it didn't even phase him. He then kicked me in the side of the face, almost took my head off. Broke my jaw, and knocked me out. I woke up, and he was gone." Reaper sighed. "A mage wearing that symbol can carve his way through a town with almost no effort, a warrior can cut steel in two, an assassin can kill a room full of people in a matter of seconds." He curled his right hand into a fist, looking at it. "They are unnatural. Infused with some kind of dark magic. I left before anything happened, but I would have become one too." He looked at Sergio. "Then be glad you lived to tell the tale." "Anyway, enough of this depressing talk! Who wishes to try some of my cooking?" Reaper grinned, throwing his bag over his shoulder and turning around. "Er... where's the kitchen?"

"Sergio, show the man to the kitchen." Lishkra waved Sergio away distractedly. "They are like gods" Lishkra scoffed. This talk is insanity, no one mage can take over a town by physical means. Only through deception and talk does one take over a town.
"Seza, what do you think about all of this?" Lishkra asked turning to Seza.

Seza continued to just listen to all of them. She was quiet through all of this because she didn't like to talk about that sort of stuff. When Jack mentioned he would be cooking, she was a bit hesitant after all he said. "Oh, I don't really have an opinion on it. I have never been able to get close enough to dragons to research them at all.."

Serigo rubbed his chin, These men sound like beasts. he thought, I think he may be exaggerating, at least a little bit. He shrugged, "Follow me." he said, gesturing and walking towards the kitchen.
