Kari smiled and nodded at Morgan as she returned her greeting and then giggled lightly at her comment about Seamus. She too had noticed the other girl but said nothing of it as said girl seemed to be wandering off into her own little world. Turning back to the group, she listened to Seamus as he responded to Morgan's comment. "Don't worry much about it Morgan, Seamus. It's like you said..." And at this she turned to Seamus, "...I can decide well enough for myself what to do with you." She gave him a charming smile before finally pulling herself out from behind the tree and sitting on her knees on the grass, just off the edge of the blanket.

Moira smacked a hand to her forehead and closed her eyes. "Oh boy. He doesn't need any encouraging Kari!" She groaned. The last thing she wanted was to watch Seamus eat the little Gryffindor alive.

Kari waved a hand dismissively in the air. "Oh, don't worry Moira. Everything'll be fine. I'll be careful." She smiled at her fellow Gryffindor for a moment before looking up at the sky above.

Morgan found herself having to stifle a laugh. Seamus may have just gotten in over his head. Here they were thinking Kari would need the protection when it might be the other way around. Leaning back on her hands, the red head also looked up. Clouds were slowly starting to roll in, but they didn't seem to hold the threat of rain. She guessed it was about four in the afternoon; the great hall would be setting up for dinner soon.

Out of simply boredom and sheer insanity, Makala had returned to the lake. She had been unable to find anything else to do, and had hoped others would be around by now to keep her company. Her eyes fell on quite a large ground of people, including the Gryffindors Moria and Kari, but also two Slytherins - one of which she knew. From what she could see, it seemed Seamus was trying to capture little Kari's attention. The others she did not know.
Wonderful, she thought with a small laugh to herself. Without a single thought that she might be interrupting something, she walked over, wanting to see if Seamus could break down Kari and get some sort of reaction out of her. With a smile that radiated total innocence, she walked over to stand next to Seamus. "Hello!" she said brightly, looking around at everyone. The other Slytherin girl looked a bit familiar, and she racked her brain for her name. Morgan?
Kari was the last one she looked at, and held her gaze there for a seemingly long second as the third year looked up at the sky. But her eyes moved away, and she still managed to keep the innocent facade. Then her eyes widened slightly in shock and slight embaressment. "Oh, I'm sorry. Am I interuppting something?" A small blush crept across the Slytherin's face, to add to her apparently embaressed look.

Moia's mouth opened a little at the return of the Slytherin girl. The one who had the little show down with Kari earlier. She collected herself and frowned. "Actually yes. So far, everyone's been quite well behaved, and we aren't looking for any trouble." She rose from her knees uncertainly. She didn't want trouble, but she was willing to do what was necessary.

Makala's eyes widened even more, a hurt expression on her face. "And what gives you the idea I'm going to bring trouble?" Both hands fell limply to her sides, and she bowed her head slightly, allowing her hair to partly obscure her face. She let out a large sigh, and turned around to walk away. "But if you insist...I'll leave..." she said quietly, giving herself the look of a very hurt fourteen year old. She took a couple steps forward, praying someone would stop her so she wouldn't really have to leave.

Kari took her attention away from the sky as she was growing a cramp in her neck. Reaching up, she rubbed the hurting area of said body part before looking around at the others. Her eyes widened slightly when she spotted Makala. That girl was back again? Well there was a rather large group of people here, so maybe everything would be okay. But still, Kari couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, even as Makala turned and was seemingly leaving.

Seamus looked up as M approached, and showed a dazzling smile in welcome. He was surprised to see Moira's reaction to her arrival. Apparently they've met. He rose to his feet as the red head did, partly out of respect for a female's arrival, and part because he wanted a good view if the Gryff was gonna knock her around. Thing had simmered down however, and Makala gave every show of being contrite. He stepped to her quickly and gently grabbed her arm. "Now now ladies. I'm sure there's quite enough blanket for everyone here. And M will be on her best behavior I'm certain." He gave the younger girl an agreeing nod. "You wouldn't embarrass my word in front of all these people would you?" He added with a wink.

Makala turned once more, lifting her head to look at Seamus. He shot him a small, grateful smile. "Of course not. I was simply looking for something to do," She looked toward Moira. "But I'm not sure I should stay...it's not exactly a very welcoming enviroment, is it, S?" She stood uncertainly, waiting for someone else to say something. So far, there was 1 person against her, and 1 person on her side. The rest seemed neutral to the whole situation, aside from silent Kari, who seemed quite nervous. And rightfully so, Makala thought to herself, just barely managing to keep the smirk off her face.

Moira smiled tensely at the two Slytherins. "I suppose there isn't a problem so long as everyone plays nice." There was such a mixed group on the blanket, she was surprised it had taken this long for any problems to arise. She lowered back to the ground, mindful of her skirt. The last thing she wanted was the entire mixed group getting a glimpse of her unmentionables. Moira cast a glance at Kari, silently double checking her ability to be here with the Slytherin, before returning her gaze to "M".

Kari wanted so much to just get up and leave right now. She could hardly keep her lip from quivering, covering her mouth with her hand to hide the nervous movement from the others. 'Plays nice, she says. I don't know if that girl knows how to play nice...' She silently thought to herself. Glanicng around at their very mixed group of people, Kari could feel her heart pound in her chest. She DID not want to be here right now.

Makala sat down at the very edge of the blanket, removing herself slightly from the others. She plucked off a piece of grass and was slowly tearing it to shreds, only glancing up every now and again with a slightly nervous look on her face. She was making herself look as if she still didn't want to intrude, though she very much so wanted to. She noted Kari covering her mouth, and could almost see her nerves spazzing out on her. Obviously, the last time she'd met the girl had been more of a success than she thought. She stayed silent, however, as she finished shredding the blade of grass - which really only took a few seconds - and glanced around the very diffrent group of people.

On a rocky peninsula on the lake, Seth silently paged through a book he had nicked from the restricted section. Pausing only to wince occasionally at particularily gruesome illustrations, he finally tossed the book on a rock next to him and sighed in irritation. His blue eyes flared with light as he raised his long, jet-black wand. "Wingardium leviosa!" he hissed, tossing a boulder into the air. He let it hang there for a moment, then brought it crashing down into the murky water. He watched it vanish in a spray of mist, eyes brooding and cold. Waving his wand idly, he burned runes into the nearby rocks and sat down again, looking at his charred creations with disgust.

Vlaityn tapped her chin slowly and thoughtfully, watching Seth's agitated gestures with keen interest. "That could plausibly be considered school vandalism. I'm sure you considered that though, of course."
She had been watching Seth for a little bit from a far now. Mostly because at first she had been highly irritated as to who exactly was disturbing the perfect and tranquil beauty of her outdoors, an outdoors she had fled to recently upon feeling slightly confused and overwhelmed.. But upon finding it was Seth doing the perturbing, half of the irritation had evaporated and Vlaityn had decided to venture over to home.
And not without apprehension. But that was somewhat natural when speaking with Seth. Of course, the slightly rocky departure of their last conversation might have been adding to it. Just maybe.
"Have those rocks composed any certain offense, or is the scorching simply for fun?" She inquired languidly, never tearing her pale blue stare from the lake's surface.
