Raven chuckled softly at flushed cheeks. "They had clear shot while I was on stage all shift."

And he grinned cheekily at the complement. "It was brilliant! ahahaha!" he laughed as Jack patted his shirt in place.

"Ah.. just one of those ninja smoke shells is all it was really. The sound effect was the speakers. Yeah alright.. I'll let you in on my next prank. Hn. maybe the red one is better.." he pulled it out of the closet, a deep maroon colour. "What do you think boss?" he distracted from the warning thing.

"Fine but I get to choose the drink and you have to drink it." Raven's charming smile broke out across his lips. He was in a great mood tonight apparently. "Or.. maybe I should go with a tight tank... black or white?" he watched to see which Jack was leaning towards more.

"I know, I know." The little redhead pouted. He took a deep breath. Clearly arguing with Raven was a lost cause. It almost always was. That didn't mean he wasn't going to worry about his companion. He let his fingers linger on the silk-covered muscles.

Raven moved over to the closet and came back with another shell. Jack regarded it with a certain amount of wary suspicion. He didn't really trust anything that was designed to explode, even if all it was was a smoke bomb. At least Raven would warn him next time.
"Red would probably look good under the lights." He remarked after a moment. He trusted Raven with it though. He knew the DJ wouldn't really do anything foolish without thinking about first carefully.

And he really couldn't stay angry when Raven smiled at him like that. Making the littler man smile back in kind softly. His mood was addictive. And Jack just loved seeing him smile. He moved over in front of the blond and hummed as if deep in thought. He raised his hands and trailed his fingers down over the exposed skin of his abs.
"Seems a shame to cover up actually. But if I had to choose I would say white." He purred.

Those fingers that trailed over his front had the blond smirking.

"White it is." Shrugging out of the blue he pulled on the white tank instead, tossing the others on the chair and adorning his arms with leather belted straps and his wrists in thick leather small studded bracelets. He hung a blocky, semi thick, silver chain around his neck, and of course he had axe soap in the shower and had de-skunked himself, so he didn't need more perfuming. He was ready.

"Alright. Let's go have a few drinks." he smiled and would let Jack out of his room ahead of him.

Jack watched coyly as Raven changed his clothing, loving the brief view he got of that powerful torso, imagining for a moment the things such muscles could do. And knowing find well the muscles continued lower. He had to take a deep breath, or he wouldn't be going anywhere for a while.

"Don't think that buying me a drink gets you out of trouble, mister!" Jack chided Raven as fiercely as he could. Though given that he was giggling a little it wasn't terribly fierce at all. As Raven moved to the door Jack followed, going to step out.

He extended a hand to swat at Raven's leather-clad rump on the way out.

"Fine, then I'll buy two." The blond smirked at the slap, following his boss out and mentally noting that he liked that he was 'in trouble.' He ought to do it again.

In no time at all the dj and his boss had returned back downstairs and came up to the bar, the tender grinned as he got a silent hand signal from Raven for a couple of hurricanes, one for himself and one for Jack. This particular recipe had six different sorts of liqueurs in it including but not limited to a light rum, gin, vodka, tequila, a cherry brandy for a little flavour and Blue Curacao liqueur and a few other things for flavour like a sweet and sour mix and orange juice. Only the dj had them all doubled up.

Before long it wouldn't be the dj that was in trouble.

"Eee!!! Raaaven!!! That was so awesome!!!" squealed one of his groupies in his ear, arms were flung around his neck he smiled down at the brunette who gave him a big kiss on his cheek, his hands went to her sides and he lifted her onto a barstool full of giggles but also escaping her wrath of a hug.

"Enjoyed the show I take it?"

"Always!! you have to do that again! That was some trick! How did you ever escape the stage! I totally missed you!!"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 04, 2009 12:29 pm

Oh yes. Raven was in trouble. Wonderful trouble. Jack would make good on that threat later if he got a chance.

They ended up downstairs, Jack giving a playful nod and smirk to Kaiden as they approached the bar again. He found a hurricane pressed into his hand and he looked up at Raven with a look of amusement.

"You're trying to get me drunk." he laughed, drinking from the tall glass happily. That sounded fun to the little redhead. Maybe that could lead to Raven loosening up a little more. He liked it when that happened.

Most likely it would end up with Jack being at his worst, but all the same it should be fun. What he could remember of it anyway.

He was distracted by the arrival of a groupie. As she threw her arms around his DJ he scowled for a moment, quickly hiding that expression with a turn of his head. Some things they both just had to deal with.
"Yeah Raven. How did you escape the stage?" The redhead challenged with a smirk. Oh, this should be entertaining.

"Oh..! Sorry boss. I thought you wanted a drink!" He smirked and nearly made to pick the glass out of Jack's hand but was thwarted.

"Magic!" the blond laughed, "A great magician never tells." he winked at both her and smirked at Jack. That would only ruin the show, but if it were never to happen again at least he got to pull it off this once. Next time it might be something different. Who knew. Maybe he'd exit doing nothing at all.

For now though he hauled back on his drink a feminine hand resting on his arm annoyingly. Almost. She was full of giggles, smart too, to know he'd come back here. Actually.... she didn't look like any of the regular groupies that regularly showed up around here.

"I'm sorry honey, I didn't catch your name." he smiled charmingly with a curious look in his eye as he regarded her.

She was sipping at her fuzzy navel a little naively, rocking side to side on the chair he sat her on watching the stage and the new dj working it up. She turned to the big blond and blinked wide deep chocolate eyes, altogether a pretty common kind of girl, despite the golden highlights that streaked the length of her hair.

"It's Audrey!" she smiled cheerfully and laughed, like he should know, like she was one of the regulars.

The light in his eyes faltered at the name but his face kept that happy mask. No one would notice.

"I know I haven't been around in a while.. ok a long while. School and stuff." she hand waved, "But it's Tracey's birthday!" She pointed out into the crowd randomly "Over there see?" she got close so that he'd see just where she was pointing, "The one in the pink and white. That's her and her friends..." she explained.

It all seemed innocent enough. "How old is she?"

"23! Like me." she bubbled.

He couldn't help himself. ".... Krieger."

Chocolate eyes stared at him in shock.

Jack clung to the glass and stuck his tongue out at Raven. This was his drink and he was damn well going to get drunk tonight if he could. Because when he got drunk, he lost what little inhibitions he had left. And when that happened... He smirked to himself. One of them would end up sore tonight. Toss of the coin who and how. Maybe he'd give Raven a proper spanking after all to punish him for his misbehaviour tonight.

Maybe Raven might... hnngh... nope. Focus yourself Jack, before you turn yourself into an embarrassment.

He giggled as Raven finally came up with the old standby of magicians never spoiling theirs tricks. It was sort of fun knowing the truth behind the apparent illusion when the only other people in the building who knew the secret were dancing. He turned to look at Guyy and Kaori and laughed. Sort of dancing. Looked more like they were thinking of working on making another child to Jack.
"Hey you two, cut that out!" he jeered. "Don't make me turn a hose on you!"

Guyy gave him the finger and smirked.

He turned back to regard the girl giggling at his DJ. His DJ. He was tempted to push her off the stool, but she was too damned cute. Curse his soft side! Instead he eavesdropped and drank. He was perhaps the only person in the room who would catch such a change in mood in the large blond, as the smile that had been lighting up his gorgeous eyes a moment ago faltered and he fell back on his all too familiar mask. Having spent so much time with the man behind that mask, he was keen to spot when it went up again. Something was wrong.

The little redhead set his glass down quietly and straightened himself up. His emeralds darted to the girl, then to her friend as she was pointed out. Not exactly regulars, he realised. Maybe occasional visitors to the Den and altogether normal enough to be easily overlooked. He guessed birthday celebrations had loosened the girl's mood enough to congratulate the DJ personally.

So, her name was Audrey and she was just a little younger than Jack. Vaguely interesting. And she was a cute little thing. Not helpful information, but always pleasant. When Raven picked out her surname apparently from thin air, Jack realised there was something more going on here than he had banked on. He sidled up to Raven subtly, gently catching one of his back pockets with his fingers out of sight.

Whatever had surprised the DJ, Jack was right there, quietly observing.

Kaiden was slightly tempted by Jack's offer of drinks being on the house, but he stopped himself rather quickly. It wasn't like he didn't mind getting a drink from time to time, but he didn't do so around poeple. He wasn't a pleasent person to be around when drunk, and that alone was enough reason to keep him away from the stuff. And on that thought Kaiden never needed anything to drink anyways, and the reason rested at his side though underneath his jacket it wouldn't be easy to see. The canteen of water was always there, and would be until he could figure out how to return it. That didn't matter though, what mattered now was him enjoying himself and he was just by standing around and watching poeple.

Kaiden slowly reached down to his neck and pulled the bandage back over his eye with the elastic bands once agian running through his dark hair. He didn't mind showing his eye to someone he could trust to not freak out, but he wasn't about to do the same to groups of poeple he didn't know, and probably didn't want to know. Kaiden wasn't a poeple person at it was appearing to be. By this time Raven and Jack both had returned to the bar a good distance away so he couldn't pick up much of what was being said to between the two, and then the third person who seemed to want to talk to Raven without Jack.

"Raven and Jack... I'm sure theres a reason those two names... oh." Kaiden saw the way Jack stood with Raven and came to the decision as to why those two names went together in his mind. Kaiden nodded his head lightly as he moved a bit closer to Jack, Raven, and the other female to listen in on their conversation. He could still only hear bits and peices of the conversation, but from what he heard he was assuming that Raven knew said female, and said female knew Raven. This meant very little to Kaiden, but from Raven's expression and the fact that Jack seemed to be right there for Raven Kaiden had a feeling this was somewhat important, that or he was thinking too hard agian.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but so far Kaiden's curiosity hadn't resulted in something bad for him yet so that was why he had no problem listening in on this conversation, plus what could go wrong? So long as Raven and Jack didn't do anything out of the ordinary nothing could really go wrong and Kaiden doubted that Raven was in such a state of shock to do something drastic.

"How did you..?" she paused her hands gripping her glass tightly and she looked away. All of a sudden she didn't want to be here, and got up gathering her purse, "I have to go.."

"Wait."

"Give me one good reas--.. what's this.." her eyes flickered to an old i.d. card he held out to her, fished from his wallet, the last name... matched. Her eyes were filled with confusion as she looked at the dj. "Who are you? Why...?"

"Take it, you know where to find me. You want to go, go. I won't stop you." He pressed the card in her hand and watched as she gave him an uncertain look and not knowing what to think, escaped. He watched her go into the crowd and took a couple of gulps from his drink.

Whatever happened next would give him a clue as to what had happened to her all those years ago. It was the only hope he had now, that she would come back again.

And that was it. The blond returned to his normal self not making a big deal of the whole thing. He eyed Jack and Kaiden just then for a moment.

And blinked.

......

"What?"

On glancing around Jack caught Kaiden's eye, noting he'd pulled the patch back up. He'd gotten a bit closer, probably eavesdropping. Maybe his ears had picked up something. Jack wasn't sure if they were more sensitive than regular human ears or not. He turned his attention back to the conversation occurring between Raven and the girl. He passed her an i.d. card and though Jack stood on his toes to try and see it, all he caught was the first name. And that, thanks to Kaori, he already knew.

It startled the girl anyway. Jack's brain was just beginning to click over what the meaning of all this was when she grabbed her purse and ran from the scene. He gave Raven's pocket a gentle tug and looked up at him with confusion and concern etched on his normally smiling features. He searched Raven's face intimately, studying every detail with all the familiarity he had gained over the years. He was covering up anything he may be feeling with great skill.

He could say one thing for Raven, his poker face was amazing.

"Raven..." He squeaked out, not taking his hands from the DJ's leather trousers nor his eyes from his face. That single word was a soft question and a plea for more information, as well as trying to make sure his dearest friend was okay. The little redhead looked almost distressed. Whatever had happened here tonight, it concerned him and he didn't like the thought Raven might be in some difficulty. Or the thought Raven may have had his eye caught by another.

The taller blond tilted his head just so, and smirked, "Another drink? oh alright." he waived to the tender for another round and turned back to his distressed friend. With Kaiden keeping a close eye there was not a chance the blond would be giving anything away.

He lay a hand on Jack's head and ruffled his hair a smile on his lips. Being playful about the non-information he was giving away. Staff eyed him wondering what it was about Jack that he let Raven get away with that, the fact only made Raven laugh to himself. It was a message of it's own, not to worry, it'll be explained in due time, for now forget it. Have some fun.

He leaned to look over to Kaiden, "Pleased to meet you sir, name's Raven, I take it you're not one to dance?" the spiky haired man questioned easily nodding at the floor with the hopping bodies swaying about. Maybe he'd even get the lad's name, since he was sidled next to Jack, Raven figured he must be new to the clan.

"I hope at least the drinks are suitable and you are enjoying yourself nevertheless." he smirked as his order was placed down and exchanged for his empty. Taking another gulp of a hurricane. Delicious stuff! "Hm.. If you don't mind my asking, what do you do for fun?"

Another round? Did he really think that was what Jack wanted? the little redhead frowned just slightly as a fresh glass was slid towards him. They were really good drinks but...

A strong hand gently ruffled up his red hair, making it look even scruffier than it already had. To the other staff, who wondered why on earth Jack tolerated such treatment from this particular DJ, it looked merely like the big blond teasing the smaller man. But Jack, familiar with him in ways other could not know, caught the soft tenderness and quiet promise in that simple gesture. He smiled a little and looked up at him affectionately for a moment before flushing slightly and glancing back to his drink.

After the vodkas and the first glass, he suspected having many of these would go right to his head. But they were tasty. He sipped at the liquid as Raven introduced himself to Kaiden. He was always good at being sociable, and probably was a lot easier to handle than Jack on his own.

The little redhead gave Raven a cheeky squeeze through the back pocket he had latched onto before finally letting go and leaning against the bar.

The weaving through the crowd had Flutter feeling giddy with excitement. He'd actually accepted her offer. He had expected him to decline, the men that she had been meeting slanted towards the dark, dangerous, and unavailable.

Until Flutter was interested in them, then suddenly it was like a light went off in the heads of the women that up until that moment hadn't found anything attractive about them.

Natural tendency towards competition.

The way Kain moved her through the crowd, it was poetry in motion. She half felt like they were fighting a battle back to back, but he was her eyes and ears, and she? Well, she would have been the cannon fodder. Probably.

Of a sudden he had pulled her up close to himself, and her breath caught in her throat. She heard:

So, what do you dance, miss Flutter?

He was already starting to move her through a form of dance, tightly tucking against her body. One good pelvic thrust, and she was sure that she would get slapped with his manhood.

Which didn't entirely sound like a bad idea.

She swallowed hard, and shook her head. Behave Flutter!!

"Ah, I guess the old shuffle your feed dance." she said against his ear because she was close enough to do it, and because it meant that she wouldn't have to scream at him to be heard.

My Mind Has Finally...

Close your eyes and stand straight, excitement nigh.
This was the time he wanted to move most, so he would be her moving host.
This dance wasn't the most....hm.

Kain softly traveled with his left hand to her waist.
The right one would be met with her own left.
Leaning in close once more to speak-

Heh heh...really? I got a better idea. But first, I'd advice
you to grab hold of my shoulder and my hand as hard as you can.

He wasn't sure whether how she would react to his words, but...
He was planning on having fun.
And he was almost, completely sure she would enjoy a....swing or two.

So....how about it, miss Flutter?...
