We have two hour rehersals three times a week from 3:00-5:00. If we suck, we go before games, too.

Almost everyday; it's a marching band/concert band class.
If practicing everyday wasn't enough, we would practice for an hour before school starts on certain days.

Monday: Afterschool 3 - 4 PM, then dinner break, then 5-8 PM.
Nothing until...
Thursday: Afterschool from 3 - 4:30 PM.
And we usually arrive 2 hours before a football game and comp.
We actually get things done too.
For you guys who have practice everyday... you are my heroes.
*high school, by the way.

We practice 6-10 times a week. We have a UIL eight hour rule that states we cannot practice more than 8 hours a week not including game/contest day practices.
We practice from 430 to 630 monday through Thursday. Then we do an hour Friday mornings before games. Then Saturday we do 1-3 hours before contests.
Then, we also have brass and woodwind class every other day, and our normal band class the other day (double blocked schedule). During brass class, we do an hour and a half outside on the marching field. Same for woodwind classes.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday we practice from 3-5 after school.
On Wednesday nights the week of a home game, we go over to the stadium (we use the university's, we don't have a proper field) from 7-9ish, guard is there at 6.
If there is no home game that week, we go from 3-5 like the other days.
...I hate it, it takes so much out of you- I come home just in time for dinner and not wanting to eat because I'm tired. And on Wednesdays I don't really eat a proper dinner. Meh.

Wow, I thought everyone practiced as much as we did...
We have class period six out of seven school days, and then Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-5, and Saturdays 9-2.
So, in an ordinary week that's almost 20 hours...
That doesn't include during band camp.

We would, but in most states it's against regulations to be able to march that much. That's why we do it during class too.
Course, I figured most bands did at least an hour a day

Mon-Fri: Band Class 9th Pd. (1:35 PMish-2:25 PMish)
Tuesday: Practice 6:15-8:00 PM
Thursday: Practice 6:15-8:00 PM
Friday: Football Games; Any time between 4:00 PM- 12:00 AM

im in a high school marching band. during the school year we practice tuesday thursday and before our shows on saturday

usually we have 2 times a week form 5-8 then we have football games, if we have acompetition on a day we sometime shave rehearsal fomr either 1-3(sumtimes4) or 9-3 then if we really suxe dthat week we have camps on saturdays sumtimes from like 9-5 or 9-9

I'm looking at these people who post saying how they practice 1-2 times a week, and wonder how they get anything done. O.o
Sunday: None
Monday-Thursday: 1:20-4:00
Friday: 1:20-2:10 (just during 6th period) And when we have home games (don't play at away): 6:00-10:00
Sat: varies, but we spend all day at the competitions.

We practice 2 time during the week from 6pm-9pm. Not including when section leaders summon us and after games, right before a compitition. dramallama

Monday: 4pm - 7pm
Tuesday: Somtimes an hour sectional
Wednesday: Hour sectional at 3pm - 4pm then practice 4pm - 7pm
Thursday: Sometimes an hour sectional
Friday: Sometimes a game (4pm practice and prep - about 10 pm), and if no game, practice from 4pm - 7pm
Saturday: 9 am - 6 pm (If no competitions)
Sunday: (day off)
We also have 70 minute band classes every day and we sometimes go outside and do movement work and basics along with music
So that is a minimum of *counts of fingers* 20 hours a week
And i'm in Highschool.... sweatdrop
