Reivan The Drow He chuckled, "The informant seeking information? interesting... Val'atar's standing in this city is a shaky one... certain influential people are beginning to find his arrogance a problem, and recent events are strengthening that belief... not to mention the surge of power received by the Revenancer's temple. Kiaransalee rules this city by the faith of it's denizens but Val'atar is trying to strengthen his own grip through political means. Personally I can only two ways this can end, one of them backs down and lets the other have control, or the city falls into a civil holy war." he said with a shrug, "either way the only real winners are people like us who can adapt quickly and take advantage." "Reivan... it's what I do.' she replied in a teasing tone, 'Besides, not all information is gathered through cloak and dagger. It is also gathered through simply asking questions in a pleasant setting in a friendly manner. On the surface they say that there is more than one way to skin a cat and there is more than one way to gather information. In this instance, it suits me well that you should know and volunteer information."Her voice and countenance now turned serious."Be warned though that not everything about Valatar is empty boasting. He has considerable power and please don't tell me about Kiaransalee and her clerics. I have no desire to discuss theology and nothing could bore me more! Rule one of war: Never underestimate your enemy. 2) Don't get too cocky. 3) Don't over estimate your enemy and the last one I'll quote... no matter how good you are or think you are-- there is always someone better."She let her words sink in for a moment before she continued."He has not gotten where he has or existed for as long as he has by being stupid or foolish. Perhaps he has forgotten many things like humility, effort, struggle or whatever but he has not forgotten betrayal, conflict, hunger for power and the fools that attracts. In the end Reivan, evil tears itself apart because of jealousy, envy, greed and hate. It craves what it can no longer feel or get. With that, I bid you a good night."Glancing around briefly, for safety's sake, Arachnae departs the tavern and makes her way home.

Reivan watched her leave then took a long draught of wine, "wise words Milady.. a shame he doesn't share your wisdom." he stretched and headed out to get back to the business of war.

She ran to the tavern seeing he had already left. Her mistress had sent her with a message for Revian. Conversing shortly with those in the tavern she moved after the direction others said he had gone in.

Hearing the unfamilar tune the tips of her ears twitched. Making her way through the streets she followed until she caught sight of him. Her mistress had told her what to expect and just what he would look like. Approaching slowly she gave a soft bow of her head. "Lord Revian? I come bearing a messages from my mistress Jabbress Erelala."

"Mistress Eralala? Now that's a pleasant surprise." he said in earnest as he tucked the flute away and motioned for her to sit. "What does your lady wish of me?"

She moved close and withdrew the piece of parchment from its holster in her bag. Taking it she gently handed it over to him a soft glimmer to her eyes as she sighed softly disappointed he put his flute away as his music was lovely.

Lord Reivan
I wish to have an audience with you. I have information that may be key to the upcoming battles and am in need of your particular guidance in this matter. My familar has brought information of others in league with the spider kissers. Please send word through my maiden whether you wish me to meet you in some location or if you would honor me at all with meeting me in a destination of my choice.
Jabbress Erelala

He smiled slightly and looked up at the messenger. The assassin pondered over a few things then handed the note back. "Tell your mistress to name the time and place, and I shall be at her disposal." he said pulling the flute back out and starting to play again.
