Femi blushed a little deeper, suspecting he was making fun of her somehow, but she couldn't help but laugh; her plan had seemingly worked, he was certianly distracted and he seemed happier. "Do I want to know just where this has been hiding?" She asked, giggling a little, flashing a happy smile. Still laughing slightly she carefully took the fruit from him, looking at it with a very happy expression. "Well, Master, should we go enjoy our fruit or try to outdo each other by pulling more out?"

"Do you want to try and beat me and my own game Femi or would you like to save yourself the embarrassment of defeat?" Seth asked tossing the apple up in the air and catching it when it came back down. He gave her a crooked smile.

For a brief second Femi's legs turned to rubber she stumbled, having to hold onto Seth more or fall over, and she was sure that her face was blood red now. "Uh..." She mumbled, taking deep breaths, that was a little unexpected, but she was sure she'd seen him smiling under that hood; not just any smile either. Trying to recover she rushed rapidly for some witty comeback. "Y-you're only saying that be-because you're afraid you'll be surpassed by your lowly apprentice." She managed, and she was quite proud of herself for coming up with that after that smile.

Seth laughed at that. "Oh yes that is my one fear that you will one day surpass me Femi" he chuckled lightly letting Femi lead him along. "So where is it you are taking me?" he asked his mood a lot lighter then it was.

Oh yes, she was definately a very creative color of red now and she could feel her heart and stomach both doing very intresting flips again. On the bright side of it all, it was a good day, a very very very good day. Gulping slightly Femi did her best to smile at him without looking like she was trying to hold herself in one solid mass. Sure he was making fun of her claim, but he was laughing, right? "Well, I... I know you don't like being around people, so... I was thinking maybe we could eat by the city wall?" She suggested, blinking at him and smiling hopefully. Maybe if they were far from people again he'd relax more, though she could barely handle being around him this relaxed.

"Sounds good to me" Seth commented looking thoughtfully up at the sky. Deep down though, he was still upset about what had occurred. What ill effects were going to come from that one slip up? He pushed the thought away and put up a happy front to keep Femi happy. Part of him was happy to, but it wasn't going to shadow the worry he was feeling at this very moment.

The people around them started dwindling as the city wall got closer, and Femi relaxed slightly unconciously; she hadn't been thinking too hard about what people who saw them would be thinking, she'd been too preoccupied about the fact that she was actually being allowed to hold his arm and hand, but it had started to occur to her that perhaps someone who knew her Dad would see and, Seth being who he was, would tell him. She tried not to look like she was thinking too hard, she made herself keep smiling, but it was an intresting conflict to be caught between not caring what people thought and caring alot. "Looks like we're almost there, Master!" She chirped happily as the wall came within sight and the last of the people drifting towards the center seemed to die off.

Seth nodded. He was fine letting Femi pull him along towards the gate. He watched the crowd slowly disappear as they got closer to it. He felt relief welling in him to be away from the crowds, but there were still enough people that he had to leave his cloak on. He was getting tired of being trapped under the heavy fabric he had to use to conceal himself from the world.

Happily Femi tugged him at last to the wall where she let go of him, a bit reluctantly, and then sat against the wall. 'Master Seth, I've been wondering...' She said inside of her mind, holding the pomegrante now between both hands. 'How did you get rid of that sandstorm? And what was that spell originally supposed to do?' She sighed slightly, keeping up the happy smile, she was curious, but she wasn't about to ask either of those; she'd worked hard to get him happy, she wasn't going to ruin it so quickly.
Of course, besides those questions she had others, 'Master Seth, did you mind me holding your hand? No... I can't word it like that, it sounds so... awkward. Why am I even nervous about that? Quick! Name all of your brothers! Nuru, Umi, Ottah, Gyasi... Oh, Isis! I've forgotten two of my brothers names!' Femi sat there, staring blankly at the pomegrante. 'OK, OK, easier one. What's your name? Femi Ka... Wow...'

Seth sat down next to Femi and played with the apple she had given him. He looked over at her for a brief second. "What's with that face?" he asked tilting his head to the side slightly to peak out from under the hood. He considered just going ahead and taking the hood off but he was trying to keep his identity hidden as much as possible.

"Jahi! Adjo! Kahotep!" She yiped before looking up, eyes widening at him. After a second Femi laughed nervously and looked back down at the pomegrante. "I was, uh... a little distracted..." She laughed again and dug her nails into the pomegrantes skin to start pulling it open. "There was this thought in my head so big I forgot two of my brothers names and my own last name, in consequence my fathers name as well... Silly, huh?" She asked him, smilling worriedly at him.

[Skipping the Armory Portion to catch up alittle]
After gathering their gear, Amenophis and his men proceeded out of the great Armory and into the streets of thebes. Their upon the dirt road, people moved out of their way, many bowing as they did so. Many also dropping what they were doing to pay their respects to the son of their great lord Pharaoh.
When He and his men reached the Great Market Place, their were more heads then he could count that fell to their knees and spread out to clear the road for just the three of them to pass on by. The Gaurds within the city would not fall to their knees, but rather stand infront of the crowds and lower their heads slightly in the great march of Amenophis and his two closest soldiers.
As soon as they were out of sight, the people would go back to their daily business and proceed as if life was not interrupted by the presence of Amenophis. As they walked through each section of this powerful city, people proceeded to preform this ritual of bowing and worshiping.
Eventually they found themselves at the great gate of Thebes and here, he stopped to gaze out into the vast desert.
"I really hope something intresting happends today, my twin blades lust for blood " He said firmly.
The gaurds before him, each holding onto long spears, seem disturbed by what Amenophis had said but yet again that is Questionable, as their faces where hidden by helmets in the shape of Anubis. A sign that Amenophis was being escourted by his Royal Gaurd. It was also to symbolize that his family was equals to the gods.

((Might seem to be cheating a little bit here, but he studies lots and lots of languages. ;D He just doesn't speak any but English and Spanish, some German, and very limited Arabic.
Bwa ha ha. I love this. I have to speak Latin in this roleplay more often, that was so fun. xd ))
Aleks blinked in confusion as the baton was, apparently, passed to him. He shook his head. All he had understood was "Excuse me...desert...clothing..." And then, all of a sudden, a sentence he clearly understood: "Is there anything I can help you with?" Her words didn't really surprise him - the ones he understood, anyway. What startled him was the language he was sure he was hearing it in.
"I... It sounds like..." But that doesn't make any sense. Latin is a dead language. Why would someone be speaking it so casually, out in the middle of nowhere? "It sounds like Latin, but I don't know it well enough to understand it. She said something about the desert and our clothes, and then asked if she could help us." He paused, and then said awkwardly, "At least, if she was speaking Latin, that's what she said."
He didn't need anybody to tell him how stupid that had sounded, but considering that Latin was a dead language, he had to consider the possibility that she was speaking some other, obscure language and he was just misinterpreting it.
After all, he thought, a human being will consider any possibility but the most obvious one, if the obvious one is unusual. But could it have been Latin? What would that mean - to hear Latin casually spoken like that? It wouldn't help him. He knew even less Latin than Arabic, and he'd already demonstrated his mastery of Arabic, to his own embarrassment.
Then he realized something else. Obviously, none of the others here spoke any Latin, or they wouldn't have asked him to try identifying it. So it seemed he'd have to work with what he had.
"Um," he prefaced his demonstration of Latin, "I... No. Us lost we are. Not speaking Latin but a small speech. You please can help? She and she - " He indicated the two women with a nervous gesture " - speaking Arabic good. If you speaking Arabic, can be speaking with the women more good of you be speaking Latin with me." He stopped, then, reddening, felt it necessary to add, "Very sorry to bad speaking of Latin." He had apologized for what he knew was probably atrocious Latin, but the truth was, he hadn't been able to say that much in Arabic earlier. Maybe it was that he'd been out of practice. It certainly felt as if the brief practice of Arabic had helped with the Latin. Of course, he made a mental note to work harder on his Latin in the future.

((Hehe, it's not cheating, and it'll sure be useful to have a brainiac on our team XD ))
Hala's eyes widened slightly in amazement as Aleks began to reply in the same language the strange girl had used. "You can speak Latin?" Well, that's one I haven't heard before. "I didn't know it was actually spoken anywhere..." She trailed off as he began his reply, letting him concentrate. As he gestured to herself and Nadira, she frowned slightly, anxiously straining her hearing to catch any hint of a meaning. "What did you tell her?"
Hala glanced at Aleks, then looked back to the girl again, shifting uncomfortably, her frown deepening a little. She did not like this new stranger, and she couldn't really explain why. She seemed nice enough, but still... What's a foreign girl doing wandering around in the desert by herself? And offering to help -us-? Hala shifted uncomfortably, puzzling over it for a moment as Aleks spoke with her. She had to be a very foreign foreigner indeed, yet somehow she didn't act a thing like a lost tourist. Something was not right, but just what it was.... There were more troubling, formless doubts lurking at the edges of her thoughts, but she didn't look any further, refusing to consider any more outlandish possibilities.
She added after a moment, the suspicion apparent in her muted voice, "You know, we really shouldn't need her help, the city isn't that far if we start walking. We'll make it, it is with in a reasonable distance. Then we'll find a cab or something when we get there, like Nadira suggested..." Reinforcing this idea of a plan calmed her, made things feel more stable. They'd be home soon, with a nice cold glass of something and nothing more to worry about than a couple missed appointments... right? We should leave...
A sudden pang of guilt struck her as she realized where her thoughts had led. She IS just a girl stuck out here in the desert in the blistering heat, probably lost, and I truly just considered leaving her here so that I could get home... Unable to look at the strange girl any longer, she looked down to the sand instead, the intense wave of shame and remorse bringing a faint grimace to her face. Allah forgive me...
Yet somehow her apologetic words still felt reluctant, "You should ask her to come with us though, back to the city, in case she's stranded out here. No one can last long in a desert like this..." Even as she said it, she felt the heat bearing down a little more intensely, from the sun that had already crept its way a little higher into the blazing sky.

(( ^^ It's perfectly fine with me! Hey, I actually took a Latin class one time and I'm not exactly a braniac, so why wouldn't the braniac of the group know some? OK, this is gonna sound really nuts, but for some reason when I read over the part where Aleks was speaking broken Latin my first that was: "Aw! That's so cute!" My math teacher was right, girls do think everything is cute...))
Frowning Nadira looked between the strange new girl and Aleks, one hand still on Hala's back for comfort, and tried to wrap her mind around exactly what was going on. So this was what Latin sounded like? Wasn't it supposed to be the "root of all languages" or something? While that would explain the reasons why she had heard a word hear or there that sounded familiar, it didn't quite explain the fact that it was being spoken. And also, wasn't it supposed to be dead? The facts weren't adding up right, and it was making Nadira quite pissy all over again
As far as she could tell the world had been ripped out from under then, they had all fallen out in what looked like the middle of the desert near a strange city, there was that odd feeling she knew them all from somewhere, and now there was a strange girl who was speaking a dead language? If she was feeling this angry, confused, and slightly scared she couldn't imagine what the other woman was going through; after all, she had freaked out slightly earlier. Still, there was this little hidden part of her mind that had an idea of what was going on, but the rest of her wasn't going to say a word until it was actually confirmed; after all, things like that just don't happen, right?
