Rhea smiled and mumbled softly as Aras found his ear and he moved up onto the bed to lay his head along her belly. Oh her fingers were like heaven right now. "Rhea always there......f..for Arrras"
He listened to everyone move and heard his mother move off. he would follow as soon as Aras drifted to sleep.
Kanis finished eating and she stopped her fire moving with the light of the other two fires towards Corrah. She blushed softly thankful that it was dark and no one could see.
"Excuse me sir..." she said softly.
Ruran watched the wolf crawling into his sister's bed and he growled standing up a bit. He should pull that horrid creature from her bed. How dare he get so bold!

Aras's smile grew wider and she continued to stroke Rhea's ear gently. She reached with a stick and knocked her wrapped meat out of the fire, letting it cool for a moment before picking it up and unwrapping it.
"Here," she smiled, holding it out to Rhea, right in front of his mouth. There were other pieces still cooking, she had plenty: she wanted to make sure that Rhea would have enough to eat before she worried about herself.
Corrah watched as Kanis approached him, only his eyes now visible in the darkness. He smiled faintly, so faintly that it was not visible in the blackness, and shifted his position a bit so that he might seem a little more friendly towards the little girl.
"Yes, Kanis?" he asked her softly. "What is it?"

Rhea sniffed the meat. It smelt so good but this was Aras' food. "But...food....is Arrras'" he said softly as much as he wanted to eat it right up he did not want her not to eat. After all Armus would have food for him.
He shifted feeling the belts under him. Oh how he wanted one of her belts to chew on. It was such a hard day walking he wanted to chew and relax.
Kanis looked up into his nearly glowing blue eyes, she did not seem afraid of the dark, but once she drew close enough to him she dropped to a knee her head bowing. "I just wanted to say thank you for taking us as your trainees."
She looked at the ground now as she pulled a small pouch to him but it was a medium one to her. She held it out to him. "I know it is not much but would you please take this as a symbol of mine and my family's thanks."
Ruran watched the wolf and his sister with angry eyes. Though he had to admit in his mind if it were his sister and a real wolf that might have been a sight to see. He laughed and ate his eyes not leaving the two on the bed near by.

Aras smiled and continued to hold the food in the same place.
"It's okay," she told him reassuringly. "There's lots ... more than I can eat, anyways ..."
She loosened her belt so that the buckle wouldn't dig into her ribs with Rhea lying on top of her. She was just so tired ... she was ready to sleep, that was certain ...
Corrah raised one eyebrow, seeing how Kanis was bowing to him, and though he wondered why she was acting like that, treating him like royalty (which he wasn't, wasn't anywhere near it), he did nothing to stop her. She probably, he reflected, respected him more than either of her siblings.
He blinked with surprise as she held out a pouch to him, but he reached out and took it gingerly.
"Thank you," he said softly, his tone laced with a bit of uncharacteristic warmth.
Her family's thanks meant little to him - her parents were perhaps thankful that he was training them, but other than that only she herself was. Aras didn't seem to care either way, she was more interested in playing with Rhea ... and Ruran was just an ungrateful brat.
He smiled at Kanis and used two fingers to open the lip of the pouch, then tipped it carefully upside down, dumping its contents into his palm.

Rhea smiles and takes the food from Aras' hand with his fingers and sat up moving to hold the meat to her lips, "Aras...sleepy....eat now...Rhea eat next one." he said slowly and smiled looking down at her.
He smiled at her aruaed by the fire and his ears flicked calmly.Kanis was very glad that Corrah took the gift she was afraid he would say no and not take it. Hearing the soft warmth in his voice filled her heart surprisingly. She blushed deeper and as he smiled and started to open it she bowed again.
"Please have a good night sir...I will see you in the morning." she turned and moved swiftly back towards the fires.
From the small pouch a thin copper chain tumbled out and into Corrah's palm. It was more like a long bracelet to Corrah or a short necklace with a simple small pendent at the end.
It was not really a romantic gesture at least not that she would now. It was to show him that her heart was into this training. Though who would know what it would reflect as time wore on.

Aras blushed, but she opened her mouth obediently and took the meat between her lips, careful not to bite Rhea's fingers. He was being so gentle with her ... it was almost as if he was someone completely different from the wild pup she had met only days before.
She had barely swallowed the mouthful when a yawn took her, and she fidgeted slightly, making herself more comfortable in her bed and also making room for Rhea to lay next to her.
Corrah was briefly surprised at Kanis's hasty retreat, but once he saw what fell out of the pouch he smiled in understanding. She was indeed the most quiet of all of the children ... the most hardworking ... she had the most potential of all of them to get quite far and become quite skilled with her training ... and it looked as though she also had the possibility of being the sweetest of them all.
He slid the chain and pendant back into the pouch and tucked it safely away in one of the inner pockets of his robes. He would be very careful not to lose this ... and just as careful not to let it break ... and even more careful not to let the others see it. Ruran would only mock them both, and Aras would just talk about it and ask questions ... and Kanis deserved to be respected, just as she respected him.

Rhea smiled at Aras and nods moving off the bed to pick up a wrapped meat and seeing that Aras was almost asleep he sniffed to find where Corrah was. He would go to his alpha once Aras was fully asleep.
Ruran turned to see his sister walking back, "And where were you Kanis?" He asked. He could see from the light of his fire some color in her cheek.
Kanis sighed, "Bathroom...Good night Ruran." she said and walked to her odd little bed and being very proud with herself she crawled in and curled up shutting her eyes. Corrah really was a noble and good man. She was very glad he let them train under him.

It was only a matter of moments later that Aras's eyes closed completely in sleep. She had been completely exhausted by the day, but as she drifted off into slumber, there was a smile on her face.
Corrah watched Rhea, only his eyes moving to follow the wolf boy's movements. He would have thought that the boy would have stayed with Aras overnight, but it appeared otherwise ... interesting.
And Aras had left her fire going. Probably not on purpose, but still. It would be a matter to discuss in the morning. But how best to make the lesson sink in ...
He would have to think about that.
For now, he would simply wait until all three of the children were fast asleep before putting out Aras' fire - and Ruran's, if he didn't remember to put his own out.

Rhea leaned forward to lick Aras' cheek foundly before he wandered up towards Corrah to curl up in the dark one's lap his tail wagging warmly and happily. He chewed on the meat softly enjoying the feel of the cloak.
Ruran watched the wolf go and nods, "Good ridden, stupid filthy wolf." he put his fire out and watched his sleeping sisters for a minute. He smirked and after walking away to use the 'bathroom' he came back and went to bed.

Corrah lifted Rhea to his lap and stroked his hair softly, and once the children were all asleep he rose in the darkness, pulled his cowl over his face, rendering himself invisible, and headed over to put out Aras's fire by gently nudging dirt onto it with his foot.
"Well Rhea," he murmured softly, holding the boy in his arms like an infant, "I would have thought you would be staying with Aras tonight. Are you sure you want to come back with me?"

Rhea giggled and nuzzled more into the cloak loving the feel and smell of it, and the warmth of Corrah's arm was starting to draw the pup to sleep. He nods. "Stay with....alpha....mom.....dad..." he said softly and turned to nuzzle into Corrah.
He didn't want to scare Aras when in the night, and have her mad at him again. But he would return before the sun rose to be next to her.

When morning came, Corrah was already sitting in the same place from which he had watched the children the night before, cowl shading his face from the rising sun. He had not brought Rhea with him, though he was certain that the wolf boy had been following him - small glimpses out of the corner of his eye, the rustling of a bush, small signs that he was not alone.
Aras was still fast asleep, her body still recovering from the day before. Her chest rose and fell in slow, even breaths, and her blanket, no longer covering her, was bunched up in her arms, as if she were holding the plush dragon her mother had made for her - though it was still in her bag.

Rhea had in deed been following Corrah. But instead of hiding in the shadows he moved over towards Aras's bed and looking much like a wolf who was trying not to wake a pack mate or a hunter he slowly moved onto Aras' bed and lay his head over her side.
He shut his eyes enjoying the warm sweet smell of his training partner.
Kanis slowly moved from her blanket and the arms of her dragon. She looked around the coming morning and moved to take the water pouches their parents had given them. She walked to the near by pool of water and filled the pouches before walking back and starting her slightly smokey fire.
Ruran rolled over and nuzzled into his dragon which he had pulled out in the middle of the night.

Aras felt something warm against her side, and while the night before it would have put her to sleep now it brought her slowly to wakefulness instead. She opened her eyes a crack and spotted Rhea lying against her. She knew he had been gone through the night - she had sensed it - but seeing him there now, the way he was lying against her, made her feel as safe and secure as if he had been there the whole time.
Without saying anything, without making a sound, she lifted one hand and stroked his hair, smiling widely.

Rhea smiled and his tail started to tump against the bed as Aras' hand found his head. It was so nice. He nuzzled into her head his eyes fully shutting again. Maybe he should start staying here with her soft touch.
Kanis shivered and pulled her blanket around her as she started to heat up some of the food for breakfast. She looked tired and her body was a bit sore but she was ready for the new day.
