"Alright!" Brish grinned, standing up and brushing herself off, "Should we decide what branch is going to be our main support?" She had never built a treehouse before, but she knew enough about needing stability in a project from all the times she had to weave branches into the nursery wall when it got cold outside, or had to reinforce the main camp wall whenever a good storm had knocked them loose. She paused at the bottom of the tree and looked up, wondering if the structure where it branched was flat just like another willow she had seen and climbed what seemed like ages ago.

Oliver too looked up and examined the tree. He put his front paws up on the trunk of the tree and looked back at Brish. "Well...shall we climb up and see?" He dug his claws into the bark and easily climbed to the lowest branch. He wondered if Brish would be better at climbing than he was and was kind of curious to see how she would accomplish it.

Already knowing from experience that the claws on a twolegs' body were no match for treebark, Brish instead reached up to grasp a lower hanging branch and flip her feet up to it. She locked her ankles around another branch next to it and swung herself upright so that she was sitting on the branch and could see the rest of the tree. "This looks good," she said, eyeing the small flat area cluttered with dead sticks that lay where the tree had branched off, "It needs some clearing out, but it might work."

Oliver smiled, watching her climb and continuing up himself. He thought it looked kind of fun to climb that way and wondered what it felt like to swing like that. He nodded in agreement at both it being a good spot and needing clearing. "It does look like a good spot to start from," he said as he began picking up some stray sticks.

Brish grinned at his approval and slid closer to the area to help with the removal of the sticks. An idea popped into her head and she had to supress a gulp before mentioning it to Oliver. "We, um, we could keep this sticks for another one of your fires; I think it would make good kindling..." she said, a shiver going down her spine as she knew her very words were hammering away at the Warrior Code and promoting an action that was dangerous to the well-being of the forest.

Oliver looked up at her. Knowing that she was still uncomfortable about fire, he couldn't help but smile. "That's an excellent idea, Brish. This would make perfect kindling." He began to stack the sticks wedged between two branches. He wondered if she would ever accept even more human like behaviors like the ones he had adopted. He couldn't help but hope that she wouldn't dislike him if she found out all about him.

"Al right," she nodded, silently going back to the task of removing the sticks from the branches. She came across some small twigs that were actually growing out of the tree and took out her small rock knife to cut them out, frowning at how she had had to destroy the small life, but knowing it was necessary to kill more than plants in order to survive. And now that she didn't have a Clan to live with she had to survive on her own. Well, she stole a glance at Oliver, wondering how long he was going to hang around with her before needing to do something else, maybe on her own... They had agreed to stick together, but she was sure there was only so much of her Clan beleifs that outsiders could take before they became frustrated and went back to their more comfortable lives. She let out a huff and gently tossed the small green twigs out of the tree.

Oliver worked silently absorbing himself in the task at hand. But he couldn't help but notice Brish. He didn't realize he was watching her. She seemed less happy than he would have liked. "Everything alright?" he asked, a hint of concern lingering in his voice.

She looked up at Oliver's voice, the concern in his voice actually relieving her a little. It was nice to have someone worry, she thought, the way a clanmate would. "Everything's fine," she said, a smile coming over her face as she grabbed some more twigs, "I was just thinking about things, I suppose I do that a lot..." Her smile turned apologetic and she put her twigs on top of his pile.

Oliver nodded and smiles slightly. "Is it anything you'd like to talk about?" Most of the small branches and such were cleared by now. He finished clearing and stacking the debris.
(( I want to tell you owo I had a dream with Oliver and Brish XD; is that weird? Well it was when he became an anthro and Brish saw. and she felt sorry for him..I guess bc she doesn't like being an anthro herself. And he was like no it's a good thing or something. Then pulled her close and held her and was like "see?" 8D it was odd to dream about))

(Really? XD Wow)
Brish shook her head, "It's nothing that I haven't talked about already, I think; I just get stuck thinking about it a lot..." Sighing, she dropped the smile and stretched her back. "I guess I'm really not a Clan cat anymore, am I?" she asked quietly.

Oliver moved closer to Brish and lightly touched her arm and shook his head. "But it doesn't change who you are. No one here will ask you to change." He smiled more. "And you'll make close friends here. So close it might even feel like that kind of clan bond."

"Really?" she said, a little of the hope that he had spoken of to her creeping into her voice. Thinking back to those she had met so far, how Nuo had tried to avoid her, and how she had avoided Treasure for being another twoleg creature, then how she and Chaos had hit it off right away and even got a kick out of torturing Yule, she tilted her head to the side. Her eyes switched back to Oliver and she commented, "I haven't really met a lot of people here yet, but I think it might be possible..."
