"Nothing to be ashamed of?" he said with a little anger in his voice. He could feel his emotions rise, and he knew it wasn't safe to be around many people anymore. Waves of anger and sadness tore him to pieces. His memories of the crash played over and over again in his head. He knew immediately he shouldn't have told her, shouldn't have dragged her into his world. He stood up, trying to control his power, but even still the lights were flashing, and tables and chairs were collapsing all around him. He clenched his fists until his palms bled, saying through his teeth, "I'm sorry, thanks for hanging out with me, but if you want to be safe, you can't hang around me anymore!" At this he ran as fast as he could, passing by a pair of students leaning against the banister, up to his room. It was here that he hoped he could do the least damage. He let out his anger, and his room basically exploded. Everything flew against the walls, his door flew against the far wall in the hallway, cracking it. The locked closet door flew open, and all of his things flew about the room. In his last attempt to focus, he busted the main breaker on the 2nd floor, knocking the power out. With this, he fell to his knees in the center of his room with all of his things, some of them in bits and pieces, scattered all around him. He sat in the dark, the one place that mirrored how he felt, and wept openly, the last moments of his parents life playing ceaselessly and without remorse before his eyes.

Dusk and Rain grinned identical smiles at her. "Fencing was always one of the best." Dusk said putting her feet up, "We used to duel with Phillipe all the time he was better than the both of us together. Even when we cheated he always won." Shaking her head she turned to Rain who just smiled before hitting Dusk upside the head, "You're not bright are you?" she asked the girl with a grin. Though to many they would seem violent, it was just the way they were. Everything was a competition or duel.
Moon Child closed her eyes tightly against his anger regretting ever speaking. Part of her wanted to follow him to make sure he was ok but another part of her argued the same old story. People were only there to cause you pain. This is why you keep distance from others. This is why you severed all ties to those you loved, so they couldn't hurt you any more. And as she always did when afraid of being hurt, Moon Child ran. Like a frightened deer her bare feet made no noise as she back tracked to her room grabbed her book bag of clothes adjusting the straps so they wouldn't slip before pausing by his door knocking saying in a small voice, "Jinx?" before a thought hit her. And say what? Goodbye to someone she really didn't know? This had been her fault. They had been having a good time until she opened her mouth. No matter what she said it got her in trouble and hurt people. It had been a mistake to come here. Looking at the door one last time she ran down the hallway toward the garden to find a less direct way to leave so no one would notice.

Dani watched, wondering briefly why they were constantly hitting each other. Then again, she knew most siblings seemed to constantly be at each other's throats. She never had really figured out why though. She didn't say anything, not seeing much of a point in it.

"Well maybe you should try contact with another person." She listened carefully, "Cole, I don't think any one has complete control. I don't even have complete control. Imagine what it's like to wake up and half the room is floating." She giggled softly.
((Just thought I should let everyone know that Belle and Erik will no longer be in the school by request of their owner.))

Cole couldn't help but laugh a bit at this. "That sounds interesting. Can't say I've ever done that." He said as he glanced up at her. "I've woken up under my bed before if that's anything similar. Actually, I may have woken up int he room underneath mine before...but usually I wake up while I'm shifting through the surface."

Lisa laughed, "Well don't slide into my room. Lucus will think I'm cheating on him." She lost the smile a bit, "So why is it you don't like to talk to people Cole?" She was looking over the banister at the lobby below. She knew it would probably ruin the mood, but it was something she wanted to know. She wanted to get to know all her students.

"Fine, do whatever you want." Zerlina said with a shrug, "Although I think the more you know the better off you are." She motioned to the dog before walking off, the puppy in suit. "Oh, and don't be scared to ask me things, unless I'm in a bad mood; you might just end up like her." She said gesturing to the girl with gray skin. She ignored the people she passed as she made her way to the stairs.
She intended to go to the first floor, but when she reached the second she stopped, seeing a door knocked off it's hinges. Because of the mood she was in she was curious as to what had happened. She made her way to the door frame stopping to examine the inside. From what she could see it was a total wreck. She assumed someone had lost control of their powers and decided to leave, but then the puppy ran into the room. "Ugh, stupid dog." She muttered, entering the dorm. She picked her way through the mess, heading towards where she heard barking.
As she got close, she tripped over something, or at least she thought it was something. Dead vines sprouted from the ground and caught her before pushing her back upright. They disappeared back into the ground once there job was done, and Zelrina turned her attention to whatever she had tripped over. She was about to kick it when she realized it was a person. "Next time you leave your door open for anyone to just wander in, make sure your somewhere that won't make it easy for people to trip on you." She snapped at them, even though they seemed to be crying. She had never been one for sympathy, so why bother showing it? They had tripped her after all, so in her opinion they didn't deserve it anyway.

Jinx looked up in the general direction of the person who had tripped over him. He couldn't see her because he had knocked out the power, but he said in between sobs, "Stay away from me. I'm not safe. No one is safe around me." He reached out to touch the barking dog, but the second he touched it it shattered. He was so emotional that his powers were working without his control again. "I'm sorry." he said, just like he always did, "I killed your dog." He stood up to leave, saying to the new person, who sounded like a girl he was sure, "I'm going outside, not that you should care." At this he left and walked down the hallway. He found some windows in the second story that overlooked the garden. His tears had become angry ones once more, and he flung his power into the windows, destroying them. He jumped out of the window into the garden, hoping he would at least break his legs so he would be sent away, but he landed in a tree. He thought for a moment that he caught a glimpse of Moon Child as he fell, but he thought it was his imagination, a mere mirage made by his tears.

Dusk forgot they had company as she pounced from her sofa to tackle Rain invoking another wrestling match however it soon had the same outcome as before ending up with Rain sitting on her back shoving her face to the floor.
Rain grinned down at her, "Never learns. We have been over this. With company you pretend to be a decent person."
Dusk mumbled something uniteligable before saying, "She isn't company she's our room mate. Any way if you don't let me up I can tell the secret."
"True" Rain said with a acknowledging nod letting Dusk up, "But somehow I think that would hurt you more than me." She turned to Dani, "Another round of practice or food. I don't know about you but changing the world as we know it famishes me!" As if right on cue her stomach grumbled loudly.
Moon Child stopped in her tracks ducking behind a tree when she heard a noise like someone else in the garden. Taking a glimpse she didn't see anyone so continued her run. Staying in the shadows of the trees she knew she would have to run through the clearing in the middle and that was a big risk. Taking a glance to each side before making a run for it. Her pack was heavy against her back but in her mind this was the easiest way. Just run. She had always ran because people always abandoned her and it was always her fault. Something she did or said. Moon Child knew she didn't have anywhere to go not willing to go back to the town she came from and even less willing to join a new one. This place had been her last attempt at belonging somewhere and it failed. Moving away from the tree she hiding behind it scraped her palm making her give a small surprised gasp as small dots of blood welled. Blinking back tears from what happened Moon Child tried to make a run through the clearing without being seen.

Cole sighed at the question and glanced down the stairs once again. "Well, I can't remember a time when I did. My hunch is that it started when I was really young, when I started turning into shadow matter at random times and scaring people. I didn't much like the looks they gave me when my arms or head was partially black. So I started locking myself in my room, or at least that's what my parents told me. I don't remember much about my earlier years. I'm getting used to it now and I don't care much anymore. It's my issue, if they have a problem with it, then they'll just have to deal." He said as he glanced up at her. "This is probably the most I've talked to someone in a long time, actually. I've been in my dorm most of the time playing Halo. It's a fun game but it gets tiring after weeks of playing it. That, and it's a bit irritating when my thumb slips through the controller." He added with a slight chuckle.

Zerlina followed him to the window and watched him drop, making sure to take note of where he landed. His power seemed to be quite... destructive to say the least, and she liked it, thus she was going to persue him until he told her exactly what his power was. She retraced her steps back to where she had been before and found the puppy from there. As soon as she touched one of it's bones it reformed. "Follow me." She told it before head back to the window. She looked out off the window and watched as a dead plant began to sprout out of th ground and grow taller and taller until it was at the window.
She picked up the puppy and climbed onto the plant, which had formed a sort of seat for her. It lowered her to the tree and she got off. "If you know you have the power to kill a dog, don't touch mine idiot." She said in a cold voice, placing her free hand on her hip, "And if your going to apologize say it like you mean." She set the puppy down, which stood by her feet, perfectly still, as it eyed the boy suspiciously. "How exactly did you do that anyway?" She asked before thinking for a moment and adding, "If it makes you feel any better, you didn't kill it; it's already dead."

"Dear Cole, we all had people look at us weird, that is something that unites us. And have you even eaten at all? You need food and relaxation in the hot springs." She thought about it for a second, "Why don't I meet you in the dining room after we've got our swim suits on? Then we'll get some food and go for a relax!" She smiled, god knows I need one.Eve was taken back by what the girl had said, "I didn't even get her name..." She sighed, not meaning it like that, but since the car accident she wasn't very good at saying what she meant. Her tummy rumbled and she looked at the time, it was almost noon, "Lunch time." She walked down the stairs, passing many people and to the dining room in which one girl sat. She nodded at the girl, got a plate of one turkey sandwich and some crisps(chips for the Americans). She sat at a completely different table from the girl and munched slowly on her crisps while rubbing her belly, "Maybe, baby, I'll get it right someday."Kat was so disturbed by how she looked she ran to her room and got in the shower. There she scrubbed her body till not only was all the gray gone, but her skin underneath was red. When she got out she smiled, applied lotion to calm and moisturize her skin and found some new clothes. This time she was wearing a demin one-piece outfit with some black ankle boots. When she left the room, she looked around and walked down the stairs, she knew it was lunch time so when she got to the cafeteria and saw the other two girls she smiled and waved, then she grabbed a slice of pizza. She sat at a table and drank her coke whilst also munching on the pizza.

While he was in the tree Jinx came to a realization. Once again he had chased off someone because he wanted to run away from them, to protect them. He was hiding his true self. He was running away from his problems, and he was sick of it. He had made a decision, he wasn't going to run away anymore, and he wasn't going to lose Moon Child.
He blinked away tears and, as they cleared, he saw Moon Child preparing to run out from under the tree he had found himself in. In as strong a voice as he could muster, he said to her, "Where the hell do you think you're going?" He paused for a moment to get down from the tree, but he couldn't, so he just kept talking. "Running away from your problems again, just like me? Don't think for a second that that will get you anywhere, believe me, I've tried it. And you know what happened? More people got hurt." He adjusted himself in the branches, trying in vain to get comfortable.
"I'm sorry I scared you in there. I was doing the same thing you're doing now, running away, and I'm sick of it. I've realized now that I have a gift, just like you, and that I've been scared of it. But you know what, the most damage I've done so far, since I've been here, is bust up a few windows, cause some damage in my room, and worst of all, possibly lose the chance to gain my first friend in my 20 years of life. Sure I killed my parents, but that was a long time ago, and it's out of my hands now. I don't know what happened in your past, and frankly I don't really care, because what matters is that right now, you're an awesome girl, the kind that a loser mutant like me would really like to know better as a friend, for now." Here he realized he shouldn't have said that last bit out loud, but whatever, it was the truth.
He was done with his little outburst as he rolled over to see another person with him in the tree. He was too tired to freak out, so he tried his best to answer her questions. "I killed it the same way you made it, I have a gift. Only mine is to make bad things happen. Other mutant powers don't usually work that well around me, which is why I'm surprised your dog friend is holding up. I guess I don't have a lot of juice left, anyway. Sorry again about the dog." With this he rolled out of the tree, right on his tailbone. After he recovered from the pain, he looked around to see if Moon Child was still there, or if she had run anyway. At least I tried, he thought.

Moon Child froze when she heard a voice making herself small against the tree. As he spoke she leaned against the side of the large tree sliding down to wrap her arms around her knees. Tears stung her eyes as he spoke and a realization hit her. They really were a friendship from hell. Both ran from their past because of fear and neither allowed anyone to stay close to them for long. Closing her eyes against his words she knew it was true. She didn't want to run anymore but she wasn't sure if she could stop. Her cheeks flushed at the last bit of what he said, no one had ever wanted to be her friend much less anything else. When he stopped speaking she heard another voice but she didn't really hear it her mind was to far away. Blinking a few times it took her a second to realize she had been crying at all. Moon Child had always been lost in the world but today it seemed so much worse. Running was her life and by stopping and trying to know people she was going into uncharted waters and she wasn't sure she could handle people knowing her past and what she had done. Hearing a thunk like something hitting the ground was enough to pull her from her mind and back into the real world. Leaning back against the tree she looked up through the leaves into the sky, "What if I can't stop running. What if I don't know how? My past is always there always following me." Not sure what else to say how did she explain. She knew to much about everything but due to the gaps in her knowledge she was still called human. It wasn't visions or anything special. Just knowledge.

Jinx stood up and dusted himself off, then paused to collect his thoughts before he spoke again. "I don't claim I know how I'm gonna stop running. I'm new to this, too. I know what I'm going to do, though." He turned to her, still crying by the tree. "I'm gonna go to bed in my new room tonight, and tomorrow night, and the night after that. I'll be so focused on staying here that I can't run away, at least I hope so." He started walking toward her saying, "And as for the past, someone once introduced me to the theory of Karma. The past makes us who we are, and if your past made you the great girl that you are, and made me the decent person I am, then I guess were both okay. We could be a lot worse off." He reached out his hand to her, looked her straight in the eyes and said, "What do you say, then? I can't do this alone, and neither can you."
