Hello. I go by Tsaoma. I am 19 now. I am obsessed with the fate of the planet in the hands of industrial civilization. I am a odd one. I read Derrick Jensen. He is funny sometimes. But often kinda depressing. Please check the links out. He is worth looking at. I like the art. I need to do more of that stuff... It would please me to be the banksy of the earth-loving folk, but I am dubious about teh likelihood of that.

My name's lillian, I hail from Gaithersburg, MD but I'm currently attending University of Maryland, College Park and I'm majoring in physiology and neurobiology. my major interests outside of school are music and art, as well as gardening and crafts- i'm like the evil teenage (oops I forgot, I'm a teen anymore. crying ) version of martha stuart. anyways. actually, she's evil i'm just crude.
if i totally blow it at school and can't get into med school (two or more B's. ) I'm going to see if I could become a botanist.
since entering college I've been the opposite of frugal and buying tons of s**t, so uh - the college enviroment doesn't allow me to be green. xD I have three lily plants growing at home and two patches of carrots, and I do have an orchid here but uhm, the spikes is ded. FROWNIES. no beautiful flowers for me.
and something random- when I retire i want to live on an vast farm on the outskirts of baltimore maryland.

Good morning. (: I'm Tsu, and I'm utterly horrible at introductions, sorry ! xD Hmm. I'm studying photographie/visual arts and literature, and I enjoy painting, sewing, and writing, as well as doing crafts. I prefer to make things rather than to buy them. =) I adore cooking as well, just be wary when I'm in front of a stove..
I am an artist; I paint everyday, take photographs, and sing. Usually I can be found in my backyard or in a park or lost in the woods with my camera or a sketchpad. =) Recently I've been working on a collage of trees, so it's fun. I mainly work with macro photographie of plants and hope to continue with that in university and such.
And thank you very much for inviting me, this guild looks amazing and very helpful. (:

Welcome both of you whee I hope you enjoy your stay heart
College is something that I'm a bit worried about, also. I've always been at home, where the only thing I've spent my money on is food, and since I can't take our refrigerator or microwave with me, the prospect of stocking my dorm room is weighing on my mind stressed
I've been calmed a little by this blog that I found on care2.com that's written by a girl who grew up green and then got thrown into the chemical cesspool of college. It might help a little ^^ Here.

Hello !
My name is Skye and I usually float around the forums. I'm originally born and raised in Hawaii. These days, I'm a desert rat in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a student that's majoring in computer graphics. I have a previous degree in graphic design that's always learning new things. Student discounts are also nice to have.
I like to do art (traditional and computer) as well as cook. Outside of Gaia, I'm a freelancing graphic designer and a food stylist (food photographer). Going green is fine and all, but people forget the hard work that makes plants grow. Green is the color of money and envy.
As Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs says, "It begins with brown."

Hi Skye!
I've seen you before in the Food forum. ninja
Brown is the color of beautiful dirt. It saddens me that fall is coming and soon my garden will die.

onicoe Hi Skye! I've seen you before in the Food forum. ninja Brown is the color of beautiful dirt. It saddens me that fall is coming and soon my garden will die. Hello there ! I remember you as well. I haven't been in the F&D thread in a while. School, art, and life outside the net has kept me busy. I'm surprised that our garden is hanging in there in this hot desert *knock on wood*. Most of Nevada is limestone, but stubborn people like me (and my parents) try to grow things out here. So far, eggplants, okra, and squash grow just fine. We even caught a rabbit that was getting a free buffet in our backyard. We named it "Piper". So far, he's enjoying life in the cage. It's probably better off not being eaten by wolves and such.

Yum. Rabbits are cute at least, better than squirrels running amok.
With the weather cooling I'm thinking of planting some radishes and lettuce for fall. I missed the timing for planting the majority of fall crops but those two are quick growing enough that they'll do.

Hi, thanks for inviting me. I love cooking, gardening, reading, crafting, and just about anything else. I am a wife and a mother of three boys. I run card tournaments that my oldest boy is interested in and I am a scout leader for the other two. I taught elementary school for 10 years and based everything I taught on the environment. It is amazing how every single subject fits right in. I left teaching because we found my oldest boy is autistic. It was just easier dealing with all the therapies that he went to if I didn't work. I will try to be active in this guild but right now I am not sure what you do in a guild. Thanks for reading, Annie
