Azura heard something. Her body rippled. "Damn!" she said, sounding completely different then before. Now she was frustrated and annoyed. "Where's Sam. Scavengers are coming. I can sense their movements through the ground water. They are coming up the street."

Altair groggily rose from sleep. As he rose he caught KC saying something. " Altair, wake up." Altair slowly rose. "Mmm, morning KC. What is it?" he said, oblivious of the alarmed atmosphere. Then as he suddenly came to his senses. "Scavengers?" he asked alarmingly, putting on his shoes, coat and picking up his cane. He limped over to the door, and unlocked it. "KC," he limped over to her, "We have to go. Can you handle yourself? I can take care of myself, despite the limp but what about you?" Altair's voice was tinged with worry.

KC raised an eyebrow and blinked at Altair. "You just go downstairs and meet up with the others. I'll be back before you know it." The next minute she was out the window, dashing across the street. She came back through the front door clad with a sword, a bow and a quiver, and some vials with various liquids and goos. "I'm ready to rock. Who's with me?"

Azura stared at the ridiculously clad KC. She giggled despite the severity. "Well Sam is gone. Do you know where Altair is? We thought he was with you."

Altair sighed when she rapidly left. He limped to the window and looked around. Nothing in sight, except for the figures hiding behind houses 5 houses down. Half the group, about ten, split off to the side of the road with the guy's house. The walked behind the houses slowly, hoping to flank. Altair smiled weakly as he floated down to the outside ground. He picked up his cane, making sure no one was looking, then sprinted quietly towards the hedge and the line of houses. No sound was made as he went through the leaves, walls, plaster, furniture.
Then he stopped, on the far side of a house. He peeked around the corner, and saw the back of a Scavenger two feet ahead. He calmly stepped out, not worrying about the noise. The man turned and shot a burst into Altair's chest, accompanied with ricochets. Puffs of dust could be seen in the ground behind Altair, who smiled good naturely as a red bloom blossomed in the man's chest.
The sound of gun shots cause the others to turn. The saw Altair and smiled unconvincingly. After all, a cripple had just killed their friend. Altair limped towards the scavengers, who immediatly started shooting at him. Each shot went through him, ricocheting around. Altair never flinched. As he reached them he stopped limping and twisted the head of his cane. A sword came out with the handle, which he used to kill 8 people. The last survivor began running towards the house. Altair threw the cane, which went through the man, impaling him. Altair walked up, pulled out the sword. He whipped the blood off the sword and replaced it in his cane, seam disappearing. He smiled and began limping to the back of the house.

"He should be down here. I left him upstairs and told him to come down. I don't understand why he's not here yet." KC walked up to Azura and leaned over into her face. "Oh, and don't laugh at my weaponry. It could save your life someday."

A sudden yell and a loud whistle broke the quiet outside. Thorn snapped his gaze up and ran out to the front. He gasped when he saw the sight in front of him.
Sam held the bleeding wound on her arm with a grimace, the sharp arrow from a hi-tech crossbow sticking out of it eerily. "Ouch," she said. She folded her wings, not really caring that anyone found out about them at the time. "There are scavengers all over--Not just the ones that got taken out, but all over the neighborhood. I think they know we're here." She grimaced again, blood spilling over her hand.
Thorn cursed and sprinted over, helping her up and pulling her to the house, watching the wound and the wings. She groaned slightly when she tweaked the arrow a bit, grinding her teeth together. With shaking hands she reached up and took hold of the shaft. Before Thorn could realize what she was doing, she yanked out the arrow.

Azura said to KC, "Not me. You know that." To show this she changed shape showing off her amorphousness.
When Thorn rand out Azura rushed out behind. She spotted Sam with Thorn. "Sam!" she exclaimed. "Make a rainstorm. A big one. Bigger the better."
Altair was going down the stairs when people started running out the door. He smiled at KC and said, "Hi... I uh, tripped on some stuff. Sorry I worried you." Altair limped out the door at the sound of a commotion. "What happened?" he asked walking out.

"Holy crap, Sam! Those damn-..." KC reached around to a small pouch she had and grabbed a cloth bandage. She tied it off, and said, "Put pressure on that," to Thorn. Then she started fiddling around with her vials.

"What are you doing?!" Thorn exclaimed, smacking Sam upside the head. She growled and punched him in the arm, sending a death scowl. He ignored her and put his hand over her cut, trying to stop a bit of the blood flow.
Sam gave Azura a withering look, but used her good arm, as Thorn yanked her up the steps, to summon a storm. Rain started pouring as the sky darkened, and a loud crash of thunder echoed, accompanied with lightning just about a half mile away. "Good?" she asked. She subconsciously shuffled her wings, drawing attention to them without meaning to.

As the rain clouds gathered, Azura grew at least 2 inches. The clouds rolled in, and Azura inhaled the moisture laden air. As she did she grew, water welled up from the ground, joining with her. As it began raining, she grew even more, becoming 10 feet high. "Where are they?" she boomed down to those below.
Altair replied, "I saw some from a window. There are two large groups. One from each side of the road. And I bet you that there are two more coming from behind the girl's house and our house."
Azura grew another ten feet, then split like an ameoba. Each giant watery Azura moved to either sides of the houses, looking down the streets. "Go to the back of each house. Take those out." said the Azura's with bubbly voices.
Each gave a roar as they grew even larger, till they obstructed the view down the road completely. Around the group the air was dry despite it raining. The now walls of water suddenly moved down the street, going through houses and yards, sweeping up leaves, Scavengers(dead and alive) and debris. The wave reached a point and the water went into the ground. Seemingly gone. A tiny Azura game out of the ground and tugged on KC's pants. The tiny voice said, "Put me in an empty vial. I need to rest."
Altair stared in awe at the power Azura had just shown.

"That was great, but you should think before you act like that. This isn't empty, but it'll help; Speed up the process a little." KC pulled out a vial with a liquid almost the same color as Azura's water and scooped her into it somewhat awkwardly.

"Whoa, Azura! That was amazing!" Jade watched as KC put her in vial. "What if she grows while she's in there? She'll... explode out of it, won't she?"

Sam watched silently as Thorn fiddled with the makeshift bandage KC had strapped onto her arm. She winced when he tugged a little to hard and smacking him on the arm, earning a scowl almost matching to hers.

"She might, but she knows better than to just suddenly grow when she's in a vial. At least, I hope she does." KC's eyes widened, then she shook her head and turned her attention back to Sam. "Stop playing with that, Thorn. Ugh, here." She swiftly added this and that to an empty vial and pushed it into Sam's free hand. "Drink it. It'll take away the pain and help speed up the healing process."

Sam nodded at KC in thanks and downed it, smacking at Thorn's hand. She slowly retracted her wings, glad that no one but Thorn seemed to have noticed them in the commotion. She sent him a warning look and he nodded. They were almost see-through. Could be hard to notice, which she was grateful for.

Altair looked around at the group. He looked at each individual one at a time. He seemed to zone out. There was KC, in her armor and vials, while Azura slumbered in one of the vials. Thorn getting hit by Sam, obviously not caring. He could see the bond forming. He was the only one that could withstand the abuse. He noticed disturbances in the air behind Sam. He did a double take, and they were gone. He looked at the last two, and smiled. He felt a connect between them all. Symbiosis. Except for Dima. He didn't know why KC even brought him here. Though... he is special like everyone. 'Except me' remarked a voice in his head. He smiled. The voice was right about that. No one knew.
He limped over to KC and tried hugging her over her shoulders. But seeing as KC was a giant, he instead hugged her at the chest/midsection. "So what now?" he asked her.
