Vajra B. Hairava I've actually found that. Quite nifty, but before I can use that, I need to figure out the Icelandic alphabet. Most of it is pretty straight forward, but I'm not finding much information about some of those really weird compound letters, and I have no idea how to pronounce Ö. You pronunce that like Ur as in first or burn

So you pronounce it like R? I say "burn" like "brn", the U is silent.

No, you take out the 'r'. There isn't any r sound to it, just the vowelly bit.

Vajra, had you checked out my Icelandic thread in the lessons page? It doesn't have much, but it's something. Also, wiki has some phonetics on the Icelandic language. There's a link to it somewhere on the first page of the thread. I'm not the best at explaining stuff, but feel free to ask if you have any questions. :]

"B-yerk" IS how you would pronounce it. She even said her name rhymes with "jerk." but people in English-speaking countries say "Byork" which is incorrect. Yes, I like her too. I have one of her first albums. ("Gling Gló")
