Tanu sat down as Shin and Hanabira ran away. The girl felt a little twinge of jealousy as Shin grabbed Hanabira's hand, but Tanu didn't say a word. Instead she sat down and waited for the two to leave. "I hate that Nara," Tanu barked as she plopped her chin in her hand and looked at Kazuma. "You wanna go? Cause I don't," Tanu said in a huff as she stared at her cousin. The Kun 'Kumo wanted to train and learn what she needed to catch up to the rest of the students, but with no teacher there wasn't much she could do.

Kazuma was to annoyed with Tanu's last few comments to take much notice of Hanabira and shin leaving, he just sort of shrugged them off. He wasn't interested in a village dinner anyways, most of the people who hated him would be there and he hated them right back. "You know what why don't you stay here and train with all your friends!" He blew up at Tanu, putting a great deal of sacrasm into friends to point out she was on her own again. He didn't even care about the technique anymore he was too pissed off with Tanu and how full of herself she was. He stormed through the flower shop only stopping when he reached the door. He didn't even turn back, he just pulled his hood over his head and disappeared out the door.

Tanu threw her attitude through her facial features at Kazuma as he decided to just go. "So, what!?" Tanu yelled, knowing she didn't really have any friends, just people that seemed to put up with her. Standing back up, she kicked the fence out of anger, but did no damage to it. She had gotten under Kazuma's skin and in return, Tanu had gotten under his. He was so annoying! But even being left alone, Tanu wouldn't turn towards going to that dumb village dinner. Instead she would just go home and lock herself in her room and not speak to Kazuma for the rest of the night!

Hanabira had gotten up early today in order to help with the flower shop before she had to leave for her exams. Kushina would be coming soon to run the store while Hanabira was testing, but Hanabira didn't want to leave too much work for the new friend of the Yamanakas. "Good morning, Seiteki-sama," Hanabira said softly as she bowed in front of the small shrine to the woman that had been so brutally murdered during the last war. Putting her hands together, Hanabira prayed silently, before moving to the front of the store. Since it was spring, there was much to do. The first thing that Hanabira would work on, would be watering all the flowers in the windows. Grabbing a can of water, Hanabira started watering the plants inside the store first, while she hummed a song to herself.

While she hummed the spring tune to herself, Hanabira checked the soil of the pots to make sure they were at the right moisture, before she headed out the front door to water the plants surrounding the shop. Before attending to her task, Hanabira looked out towards the Shimagakure shoreline towards the rising sun. "Pretty," she whispered to herself as she shielded her eyes from the sun's rays bouncing off the waters. Kane was across the sea in a far away land right now. The Chunin exams were taking place on this day of Spring. "Do your best," Hanabira said with a little spunk in her voice. She knew of Shin asking her older brother to be his squad leader and she hoped that Kane would pass, so he could become more like Hide and lead a squad proudly.

With a humble smile, Hanabira turned back to the plants surrounding the shop. There were so many of them that there was a need to water them everyday instead of letting them grow off the rain that fell on the island. While checking the soil, Hanabira leaned down and breathed in the sweet smell of the early blooming flowers. "Mm," she hummed to herself as the sweet smell captured her soul and then gently released it. Hanabira continued to hum to the flowers, sharing the beautiful melody with them as she tried to think of words to sing as well.

"Hm...Hmmmm.Humm...Hmm.." Hanabira hummed as she sprinkled water near the base of the plants that were springing up in the warm weather. She knew better than to drizzle the water over the plant's leaves. The flowers gained nourishment through their roots taking from the earth's minerals and the moisture of the ground. They only fed off the rays of the sun through the green leaves. As she stood up from watering the last plant, Hanabira caught the sight of a beautiful web. "Aw," she said in fascination as she examined the beautiful design that held beads of morning dew. It was very ornate and looked as thought it should be a pendant on a beautiful noble woman.

Hanabira did not disturb the spider's web, since she knew the importance of a web to a spider. Moving away from the spot and leaving it in peace, Hanabira headed back into the store where she set the watering can back in its proper place and headed into the kitchen. Her humming was the only sound in the house as she executed her daily chores. The Hanaya had gotten rather lonely since Seiteki's passing... Hanabira tried not to think about it too much since it had caused her great pain and trauma. There had been rumors of a new Meho arriving on the island and it made Hanabira's stomach twist in hate. The Jio's and the Meho's were no good in Hanabira's opinion. Her humming stopped as she began chopping onions for a frothy morning soup.

Hanabira had always been a good girl and never thought badly of anyone, but after the Meho war there was no way she would be able to treat this newcomer with the same sweetness she gave everyone else, even strangers. Once the onions were chopped, Hanabira placed them in a pot and lit the stove on fire to begin warming the onions. Taking a bowl, she gathered water from the well. While pulling up the bucket, Hanabira calmed her thoughts and began humming to herself once again as she left the bucket on the side of the stone well and headed back inside the Hanaya. Slowly, she poured the cool water into the pot and watched it as it warmed up, continuing to hum to herself.

Tidying herself up and then tidying up the house a bit, Hanabira left the store, locking it behind her. Kushina would be in shortly to open everything up, but she would notice that Hanabira had done most of the work. Now, the shy girl turned towards the path to the Tenmoki House. Instantly she felt a nervous feeling rise up in her stomach as she began her walk. In her mind, Hanabira made a checklist of her small amount of equipment as she slowly walked down the path.

Kushina was just watering some nice hydrangeas (Hanabira-san had done most of the work already, what a dear!) when suddenly something struck her mind. She looked at the calendar, and then ran to her bag where she frantically dug out a piece of paper. It was filled with notes she took down and as she searched, she found the one with the requests that Kane-san had made before he'd left for the mainland. One of them included 'Please pick up my cousins and make them feel welcome here. Give Eiji my bed for now. Miu can sleep in the spare room.' She guessed that for some reason, Kane-san just didn't want to let out his mother's room, kami bless her name...
Wait! She was supposed to pick them up! They were coming by boat but really, they could come anytime. Was she supposed to wait at the shoreline or go there after receiving news of their arrival? Her mental questions were answered with the jingling of the bell which signalled someone's arrival.
"Hey, Kushina," came a drawl which could only have belonged to one person. Kairo. Kushina felt her heart sinking at his appearance and warily wondered what he wanted. She didn't feel comfortable around him at all. But he wasn't here to try any funny business. All he did was merely smile at her, giving her a faceful of those eyes... those purple eyes... and say, "Just wanted to say that there are two kids washed up on shore. Was going to welcome them myself, but they looked awfully like that Yamanaka who runs this store, so I figured you'd be behind it." He gave her a salute and a toothy smile and was on his merry way, leaving a flustered teenager staring after him. But wait. What was her job again? New arrivals! Kane-san's relatives! Grabbing her cap and forcing it on her head, Kushina ran out the store like the wind, heading for the beach.

[Previously, in Twilight Time*, Spring 1 (recap): Kushina took the Yamanakas back to the flower shop, where she helped them settle in. She left, but promised to return the next day.
*Twilight Time happens during the transition from one day to another (eg. Spring 1 to Spring 2). When it's Late Night or around that in Spring 1, we just write down what your character did for the rest of the night before exiting to Spring 2, Morning.]
"Ohayou!," Kushina entered the flower shop and said in a singsong. She was curious to see how the Yamanakas were doing and help them in any way possible. Kane-san and Hanabira-san would probably expect them to help with the daily running of the store, and with all this extra help Kushina found herself worried for a moment that soon she'd be out of a job! She hoped it wouldn't come to that. After seeing Kane and Hana work with the flowers, she figured that the Yamanakas had some sort of natural green thumb, so there probably wouldn't be too much of a problem there.
Although the welcome bell jingled merrily, the inside of the shophouse was dark and silent. They were probably all still asleep, then. Well, it was still early (really early, actually...) and they'd just come from an exhausting voyage, so that made sense. Flicking on the lights easily, Kushina started to prepare the shop for business, which included getting the change ready and taking care of the flowers.

[Twilight Time: Eiji didn't realize where they had gone as he had been sleepily walking behind the group and as soon as he was shown in, he somehow managed to find Kane's room and knock out quickly on his bed...]
Eiji woke up not long before Kushina had entered the shop. His hair was messier than usual, but it still kept is shine and beauty. Eiji stretched a bit just before realizing he was somewhere unknown. "Hmmm... I need a bathhh..." he mumbled after yawning as he slowly got out of bed to find his way to the bathroom. He walked around the house aimlessly checking every room as he went. It didn't take long before he found the bathroom. He ran the hot water and went back to the room to grab a towel out of his bag so that he could dry himself after getting out. The bath was already filled by the time he was back and Eiji stripped and got in. The hot water did not bother him much since he was used to taking baths like this, so he just went in without waiting for it to cool down. He relaxed there for a few minutes, submerging his head under the water now and then, until a bell rang. "I wonder what that was..." said Eiji as he got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist so as to cover his lower body. He followed the sound of a very familiar voice and found out that it was Kushina who was calling out for the newly-arrived Yamanaka. "Yo, ohayougozaimasu," greeted Eiji politely as he stepped out to the shop, looking around. He hadn't really payed attention to the shop as he came in last night, so he was just admiring the place. He could guess that he would have to help out here, but he was terrible taking care of such fragile things as flowers, so he thought that he could volunteer as a cashier being the good mathematician he was. He hadn't really realize that he was showing his pale white skin to the woman but not like he minded anyway, his upper body was uncovered, and it revealed a very muscular physique with a pretty well developed six pack and pecs for an eleven year old kid. The drops of water that stuck to his air only complimented it by making it shine more, and his relaxed state made his eyes look a peaceful blue. "Did you find Kane around yet?" he asked eagerly hoping to see his cousin any time soon.

[Twilight Time: Miu followed Kushina quietly the entire way to the flower shop. When they arrived, she didn’t bother getting some sleep, she only walked around looking at the shop and all it’s contents.]
Miu heard noises from the room Eiji had disappeared into the night before. She didn’t want to be rude and use one of the beds, not knowing who it actually belonged to. She guessed that Eiji had woken up and was already doing a routine. It was when the shower started up that she knew it was him. A short while after that she heard a voice from the flower shop entrance. Kushina must have come to see how they were doing. Miu began to head to the voice she heard and spotted the young Eiji in only a towel. A bit of pink entered her cheeks before she moved her eyes to Kushina. She nodded a good morning and let her eyes wander around the shop. It looked different with light in the area rather than the darkness that she’d been looking around in. Eiji asked about Kane, and it intrigued her as well. She was supposed to come here as refuge from her father, yet the man who she was sent to, wasn’t here. But her mind wasn’t really focused on Kane at the moment, more on the fact there was a flower shop that she hadn’t completely went through. The flowers were pretty from what she saw during the night.
