Turning wildly to hear where the noises were coming from, the soldiers were in a panic, unaware of what was going on until the genjutsu was lifted. "Over there!" one of the soldiers with an aikuchi yelled as he pointed out the red haired shinobi to the others. He was too far away to make it to the boy in time, but the others could make it before he moved his position once again.

While Aya had been moving within the cover of the trees, bushes and rubble, she had managed to climb back up into a tree herself just to see the battlefield from a bird's point of view once again. It was hard to see through the thick brush just where everyone was. Kana had managed to get up in a tree after taking out another soldier, but now the soldiers were hot on his tail. Running through the branches to get close to him, Aya grabbed a sturdy vine that would allow her to swing in right on target. As she came swooping in like a monkey falling form the sky, Aya changed the weight of her body in order to stay on route to hit the man that had thrown his club at Kana.

After his kill the predator stalked his way back up into the brush that covered the tree's and could see the soldiers pathetically attempting to attack him once again. Ignorantly the recruit threw his blunt weapon towards Kana, which wasn't much of an attack to the skillful young man but more of a playful threat. "Thats all ya got!" The shinobi said in a cocky tone as he leaned down to be face too face with the man, his red and green eyes staring into the foolish attackers. Quickly the man lurched forward to grab him, but Kana tried to swiftly sidestepped the soldiers attacks and hop to another branch. The soldiers fingers wrapped slowly around the auburn haired boy for a moment, restricting his breathing and putting pressure on his bones. Suddenly Aya came flying in from out of no where in a foolish attempt to save the day, and it almost made Kana chuckle whilst he was in the middle of a serious conversation. Her funny moves got him out of the grapple. "Your gonna have to be faster than that to catch me." Kana said once he was face too face with the soldier once more just before he would be killed. After he was finished with his taunts he scurried through the endless branches and leaves into a position where he could attack his opponents in a sneaky manner.

This time his eyes were set on the soldier that was aiding the new soldier up the tree, his Aikuchi at the side for the aide of the other bulky soldier. Quietly Kana crouched on the limb, jouncing it as he sprang from the tree towards his new victim. Mid leap the auburn haired young man extended out his leg to connect with the mans face, hoping to smash it up against the rough tree bark and daze the man for a moment. After a moment Kana settled on the ground and lurched back his fist to attack the soldier once more. Next after his kick was a fierce uppercut that lurched the grunt a few feet up from the ground so that he would land face first in the muck. His vision cleared from the man on the ground to the quickly advancing others that would soon come to his aide. His breathing was quick, after all kicking so much a** did take a bit of a toll on the body. Shaking his head he let the sweat drip from his hair so that there wouldn't be any hindrances to him when he took on these weak mangy soldiers.

[Demonic, you're going to have to go back and edit your posts. Soldier10 Attempted to grappled you while you were in a tree, so you should use escape, which would make a big point difference, because Soldier10 will have actually succeeded. But since Aya succeeded in knocking Soldier 10 off, you're taijutsu attacks are still ok on Soldier 8.]

As their comrades fell to the ground defeated by the unknown shinobi, the soldiers were sprinting as fast as they could to catch up with the rest of the group. "Nooooo!" One yelled out as he held his silver blade high in the air to attack from a very short range as he charged at the red haired shinobi. His partner was running just behind him until the sword was drawn. He then came rearing around the side skidding across the ground in hopes to take Kana out from below and trip him. The man's leg's were getting extremely muddy as he slid across the ground, which seemed to slow his attack down.

They knew that the recruit was done for and there would be no way to save him once he was done on the ground pinned by the female shinobi. Instead, they charged at the same one that took one of their best friends away. Finding a good hole to work into, the soldier with the Jo jutted his wooden staff out at the young man while the second soldier with the Aikuchi, came slashing downwards just like his other fellow soldiers. "GET OUT OF THIS!" the soldier cried in a fit of emotional rage.

Aya got off the soldier as quickly as possible the moment she noticed that all the soldiers were attacking Kana. Scurrying to her feet, she sprinted as quickly as she could, but knew there was no way that she would be able to stop half the attacks. She saw one attack that she could block with no problem and that was the one soldier that was skidding under all the rest trying to take Kana down. "I GOT LOW!" Aya shouted as she slid to the ground herself in order to collide with the soldier that was already skidding on the ground. His movement was slow and his slide had been drug down by the mucky swamp floor, but Aya was far more skilled and knew a quicker way to slide due to her special copeira technique that Ichi had trained her in. Aya had almost slid too fast. She had counted on her block doing some damage to the attacker, but there was only damage to her as she took the blow for Kana.

Kana's mind raced as the five soldiers charged in a full frontal assault, their weapons pointing directly at the shinobi standing over the dead patriot. Multicolored eyes flickered and widened as he realized that their was no way to escape the oncoming danger, and he would just have to tough this one out. The Kun' Kumo was no stranger to to battle wounds though, on almost every mission the duo had ever been on he had gotten his a** handed to him one way or another. He grit his teeth and focused on the pain he would be feeling in only a few moments. Giving out a primitive grunt for a second he cried out just before the attacks came smashing into him like a brick wall. "GAAAHHH!!" His face seemed to be in immense pain or anger even though none of the attacks had struck his body yet.

Kana's yell cut through every point of the swamp as the soldier's weapons came crashing down. There was no way that Aya and Kana could get all those soldiers separate again without making another escape. Gimping up to her feet, since she had just been wounded by a hit to the leg, Aya began to perform her seals for one of her signature stealth techniques. "Kirigakure no jutsu," she said as a thick mist immediately clouded the swamp area to make Aya's movement next to invisible. The soldiers wouldn't even be able to look down at their feet and see them through the fog. Quickly making her way to Kana, she wrapped her arm around his back and guided him through the thick mist. "I'm sorry," Aya said, shaking her head. She felt like she had made a mistake in the battle. The girl had been a bit concerned about conserving her chakra from the start and then regaining it all just in case she needed to use medical techniques or Kirigakure no jutsu to let them escape. The truth was she had plenty of chakra since she had trained it so hard. What Aya was sorry for is that she could've used the Shunshin no jutsu to make over to Kana quicker and take out one of the more heavy attackers. The girl felt as if she had let Kana down.
