With a soft smile on her face and a murmured "Goodnight," Beck turned and took a few steps up the staircase. Plopping down on a step just past the curve in the stairs, Beck sighed, holding her chin in her hand. Well, it had certainly been one hell of a night. Glancing down at her free hand, Beck nearly laughed. After all of that, she still had the red blanket half draped across her shoulders, a corner clutched tightly in her fist. Pulling the soft fabric up to her face, Beck leaned her cheek against it for a second. Unbeknownst to her, a small, but decidedly silly grin spread across her face for just a moment before a huge yawn took her by surprise. Standing, she turned around and walked the rest of the way up to the dorm.

((And unfortuantely, we don't know when tomorrow will actually be tomorrow. xD Ah, well.))

Moira watched as Peter and Beck departed, and contemplated heading up herself. For someone who had been so tired during the feast, she wasn't too bad this late. Contradicting herself, she raised her arms above her head and gave a sleepy strech, accompanied by a large yawn. OK, well I'm a little tired. But just a little. She leaned her head up against the chair's arm rest, and gave a sigh.

Eloise entered the common room, slightly skipping as she had her eyes closed, a song stuck in her head. Yo ho, All together, let thy spirits high!
"Heave HO! All together! Never shall we die!" Her voice wasn't the best for singing, though, even though she was painfully aware of said fact, she still attempted to sing, since she liked it. She had herd the song she just sang a lot, since it was in one of her sisters favorite retro movies that she watched over and over.

Even so, she could never get the lyrics correct.

Right as she stopped walking, she opened her eyes, seeing Moira, and beside him, the large hunk of a man that was Nicodemus. Melting into a puddle in her shoes, she stopped just to look at him, even in this lighting he was a god.

Though, the beard would have to go for her to get him for herself. I bet I can get that accomplished rather quickly..Though, where on earth is that other tall Hunk, Peter? They are both quite the lookers.

For every other person at this time of night, they would be exhausted. Though, living at home with a four year old sibling made it easier for her to deal with sleep deprivation, considering how little sleep she got during the summer.

Regaining her composure, glad that no one noticed, she sauntered over to the couch next to Nico and Moira, a large smile on her face as she looked at the large Viking, hardly noticing the orange haired girl next to him.

"Nico!" She said, hoping to get his attention with her energetic squeal. Of course, she was one of the many in his fanclub, though, she actually had the guts to talk to him, unlike several other girls in his fanclub.

With a grin Eloise jumped up, moving Nico's arm off the arm rest so she could sit there herself. Putting on a rather 'put off' frown, she smiled, putting her hand in his beard.
"You really should shave that god awful thing. You'd get so much more action if you did.."

Nico looked uncomfortable as Eloise burst in with her singing. He couldn't complain, as his voice was rather terrible as well. Nonetheless, he grinned at Eloise, offering Moira a pity-filled look. Her squeal would have made him wince before, but after having heard his little sister scream when she was at St. Mungos... Well... It wasn't that bad. "Eloise!" he boomed, attempting to imitate her pitch, though it failed miserably. He knew that the girl was in his fanclub, he'd even flirted with her more than once. She was one of the few who didn't scream in sheer joy everytime he smiled at them, or spoke a word to them.

When she mentioned his beard, his face turned dark. A braided beard was the pride of Norsemen, and it was indeed his. Not only that, but the braid had been done personally by his little sister's hand. "I don't think so, Eloise. Viking pride and Lillian would hate me if I did. To add to it, I'd be personally murdered by my dad," he said gruffly, a frown on his face. With his beard, he looked about twenty or so years, his face lined with wrinkles from worrying about his little sister. Nonetheless, he still looked quite young, and with magic, he would quickly be able to make those wrinkles disappear.

Eloise gave Nico a funny smile, her lips pursed, but you could definitely tell she was smiling, laughing on the inside. Her small legs crossed each other on the chair. Any normal person sitting on that chair, doing what she just did, would have either fallen on the floor, or fallen into Nico's lap.
Though, since she had to be highly balanced to be a gymnast, she had quite the skills.

Letting herself calm down, she was glad that she was one of the few who could talk to Nico with out blubbering like an idiot. "Well Nico, It's your beard. Though, don't look so dark, you'll scare the living daylights out of the first years. You may look like a big grizzly bear, but I know the truth. Your just a big teddy bear who can lift four girls at once."

Right then, Eloise's face perked up, a large smile on her face. El got random thoughts every so often. She may not be stupid, but on little sleep she was a bubble head. Normally at this time of night, she would be dealing with her younger brother Edmund and his screaming for popsicles.

"You know Nico! You and I should go join the circus. The giant, and the contortionist! We could be rich!"
Of course Eloise was joking, but she liked to make people smile. The only thing she liked more was wearing nothing but a small leotard and doing flips on the grass when the quidditch team practiced.

Nicodeamus chuckled, and ruffled her hair. "Mhm, right. I'm no teddy bear. I'm a big evil marauding Viking. And who says it isn't fun to scare the first years?" he said smiling calmly. His wide grin was rather amazing, and he knew it. It was one of the more charming features of him, making him look less like a viking and more like a debonair Frenchman. It was one of the only remenants of his mother that he had, besides his deep grey eyes. At El's mention of them joining the circus, a loud guffaw escaped his throat.

"If you want a giant, look at my dad. A full foot taller than me, if not more," the man said. He ran a hand through his black hair, slicking it back again. A few stray strands had drifted into his face, and the very moment he fixed it, it did so again.

Moira winced when Eloise entered the common room. Between her voice, and the fact that the words were wrong, it was a pitiful entrance. She never understood the fawning over Nico. She and he were friends, and he was a great guy! But the fact that girls were rendered blubbering fools in his presence never made sense to her. She gave El a tight smile, and watched as she nearly planted herself in his lap. Under her breath she muttered, "Harlot."

Eloise couldn't help but smile as he ruffled her hair. His hand was larger than her face, and she wouldn't be surprised if he was very good with his hands either.
Unlike a lot of other girls, El liked her hair messed up, the medium length blond hair messy at the top, strands of her bangs in her face as she smiled at Nico.
"Nico, are you going to get as tall as your dad? I think I saw him wave to you on the train once, but my depth perception was off, so I couldn't see how tall he really was. My father keeps telling me that I need to get glasses, but I refuse to wear them. They'll fall off."

With a smile, she turned herself towards Nico, a large smile on her face as the 'Viking' comment processed. You can by my evil marauding viking anyday. At her own thoughts she quickly turned her gaze to the ceiling, her face turning a strong shade of pink. her efforts to conceal them never worked, though she was very glad that Nicodemus wouldn't let her forget it. Which would lead to more naughty thoughts, and the cycle would repeat again.

"Your a great viking, and I am a French Mademoiselle." With the last two words she used her authentic french accent. Since her mother was french, she demanded that all her children could speak french as well as english. However, since Edmund wasn't old enough to talk when she died, Carlisle and Nicoletta would have to teach him french.

With a smile Eloise looked at Nico, admiring his large, overpowering demeanor. She always liked large men, and Nico was the gormet of tall boys. Better yet, they had chemistry, or so Eloise liked to think, and were the same age give or take a few months.

Eloise saw moira give her a tight smile, and an uncalled for comment. El couldn't tell quite what she said, but she knew that it wasn't very kind.

"Probably not. He's a pureblooded Viking and all, and me, I'm half- French. Now, what I'm wondering is when you've seen him. He works at Durmstrang as a professor. You probably saw one of his pals come to see me off in his place," he said with a chuckle in his voice. At Moira's word, he looked at her, sympathetic. He understood how she felt. Moira was one of his closest friends, other than Beck and Peter. She might not be much more, though, she was a pretty awesome girl.
When she blushed, he grinned and poked her, wrapping his arm around her waist to steady her. "Indeed, it'll be like my mum and my dad. The Viking and the French woman. Ah, but I retain my debonair Frechman looks, no?" he said jokingly, a wide smile on his face. He drew her close to him, grinning, arm around her shoulder.
"Alas, this marauding Viking has nothing to raid and take over..."

PostPosted: Mon Aug 25, 2008 4:27 pm

"Maybe it wasn't him. Oh gosh, I really got your family screwed up didn't I." With a sigh, Her gaze fell to Nico's eyes, the gorgeous shine was wonderful to look at.
When Eloise felt Nico's arm around her waist to steady her, she was shocked. Of course, she knew that he liked girls, tough, his arm was huge compared to her. With a smile, she tried not to be crushed by Nicodemus arm on her shoulders.
"Wait? Like your parents?" She was completely dumbfounded. What's going on. Did I miss something. I mean, yah he's half Viking and I'm half french, but what did he mean.
"Okay, Nico, I'm not dumb, but you completely lost me on that one. And yes, you did keep some Frenchman charm, though, the beard kind of kills it. I like it though." Crossing her arms, that was the only way she could keep her shoulders from being crushed by that large of Nico's arms.
Eloise wasn't sure what to do. There she was, almost alone in a common room with the large man that was Nicodemus, and of course Moira. Though, Moira was making herself known like a gray pebble at the bottom of a creek.

"Nah, they all look the same. Don't worry Eloise," he said, smiling, "Of course. Your the beautiful and frail Frenchwoman, while I am the rugged Viking who shall keep those terrible people away from you." He smiled at the girl, grey eyes locked on blue. She was pretty, he had to admit. And she was just his type. Clever, slim, and just that perfect natural blond that was absolutely enchanting.
"Glad you've gotten used to the beard though. It's not that bad. The braid keeps it from irritating people," he said, smiling. He adjusted his grip so that she wasn't crushed by his arm, his arm now wrapped slightly around her shoulder. She could wiggle out easily, but he'd catch her quickly. He turned his attention to the quiet Moira, eyebrow raised. A smirk danced accross his face as he looked at her. He had never been used to Moira being quiet.
"You alright Moira? Tired?" he asked, the concern plain in his voice. Again, Nicodeamus greatly enjoyed Moira's company, and would be rather put off if she was mad at him. Not only did it mean that he had angered his friend, but it meant that something was wrong.

Eloise couldn't help but smile. Even though she didn't like to be called frail, she knew it was true. She got a big black bruise on her arm from hitting a door knob as she walked through the hallways of her home. It was still there, but you couldn't tell through her sweater.
"I'm not completely french Nicodemus, you know that. And your not completely Nordic. Though, I'm kind of glad your not. I wouldn't look right standing next to you if you were any taller. Since, well, I'm not exactly tall myself. Your more than two feet taller than me Nico, I cannot imagine your father."
Even with Eloise's weakness for tall men, she had her limit. If when they both stood up, she had to strain her neck to look them in the eye, they were too tall. She could make an exception of course.

"The beard is almost fetching on you. I'm sure that Lillian likes to braid it. Though, if you need it braided, be sure to ask." With a wink, she looked at Nico's hand on her shoulder. Her expression was rather calm, even though she was making a comparison between their hand size. Looking at her palm, and his, it was like if he tried to hold her hand, it would be swallowed up like a whale eating crill.

After a moment of spacing out, she realized that Nico was asking Moira what was wrong. El didn't know Moira to well, she was a bit to quiet for Eloise to take any interest in. With a frown, she let her gaze drift to Nicodemus again, still comparing her size with his. He was charming, black hair, black beard, a deep voice. While she was completely opposite. Pale skin, blond hair, and very small and skinny. Though, her blond roots showed very much so.

Moira eyed El, irrated. "Well you would know all about being a trollop, no?" She caught Nico's concerned face and gave him a quick smile. He would enjoy the attention too. She shook her head for a moment before smiling again. She couldn't help but feel affectionately towards him. She had known him for a long time. But still. Eloise?
She raised her eyes to him again and said, Hmm, tired? Must be." She rose gracefully from the floor and crossed the room from them, settling on a couch. Pulling one of the throw pillows from the arm, she held it to her chest and tucked her legs underneath herself. She held concern that any close proximity to El would result in one sort of crabs or another.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 25, 2008 7:35 pm

"El, if I was any taller, I'd be a half-giant. I've reached my height. And hey, my mum was about as tall as you when she... well..." he stopped, not wanting to talk about it, "Now El, being shorter than me means that it doesn't look odd when I pick you up on my back." He winked at her, a wide grin on his face. Even if she was shorter than him, by a lot, he didn't mind. He was looking her over, and thinking of how much she looked like his mum, and currently, Lill. The blonde hair was different, darker, but her face, eyes, and stature made her look close to Nicodeamus' own mother. Nonetheless, she was hot either way.

"Heh, I'll come to you if this needs to be rebraided, I promise," he assured her with another wink, the smirk on his face making him look like a copy of Loki. El was small enough that he could have easily crushed her, but he was careful about it. He pulled her off the arm of the couch, for fear of her falling, and seated her next to him, on the large couch. He patted her on the head, jokingly.

"Moira..." he said, concerned, "I've known you for a while. This isn't like you. Seriously, I want you to tell me what's wrong. If not now, then tomorrow at breakfast. Privately. You're one of my best mates, Moira." Nicodeamus turned from easyoing flirt to concerned friend. Moira was a lot like his little sister, just like Lillian, though, she was his age. He wanted her to be happy. He didn't need enemies in his last year.

Eloise's calm smile drifed into a frown. She hated to be talked down to as such, but all El could think about was that words did in fact hurt. From a frown, Eloise couldn't help but keep a hurt look on her face.
"I don't go out of my way to be mean to you. If you don't like me, thats your problem, but don't insult me. I have don't nothing towards you that would make you mad unless your jealous of course, but I doubt that. If you cannot say anything nice, keep it to yourself."
Eloise's gaze landed on Moira, the red head never seems to be the kind of person to mildly throw out insults. Trying not to be angry, she took a deep breath, her composure returning with a sigh.
"We don't need to be cross with each other. We're both gryffindors. There are plenty of arguments between houses, we don't need them in the house itself."
With a meager smile, she turned her attention to the fire. Eloise was easily hurt by words, taking every little bit of an insult to heart, even if she never wished to do so. Always remembering a quote from ages ago about how no one can make you feel inferior, she couldn't remember all of it, she tried hard to believe in that. However, it never quite worked as such.

When she got moved to the seat next to Nico, she didn't falter. Eloise was used to being 'handled', so it didn't bother her when Nico's large hand tapped her on the head. She looked kind of sad, not wanting any fights between her and Moira, but El was not one to back down from a fight.

After a moment, Nico's words processed, and she managed a meager smile, the thought of her on his back gave her a small flush on her face. Eloise knew not to press any further on how Nico said that she was the same height as his mother. She knew what happened, and felt for him. She really did, though, only because her mother had died as well. However, El's mother died of natural causes. Nicodemus's mother died because she killed herself.

After hearing such news of Nico's mother, she cried for him.
