In a dark room, the lights flickered, and strange writing was written along the walls in blood. Sorrow stood and looked around seeing no one, only hearing a voice talking to her. At first she could not make out the words being spoken, however shortly after the lights went back one and the voice was now speaking much clearer. The room was solid white. In the center lay a silver table and two books. The voice spoke again.
“Ryo Atami, it is not yet your time to return.”
“Return?”
“Yes, to the kingdom above.”
“Where am I?”
“Purgatory. You’re a fallen angel, you cannot die. It is here you will remain until you return to the world of the living.”
The wispy voice slowly faded away until there was no sound. The room was small and Sorrow was unsure what to believe or who to trust. Even though a Fallen Angel cannot die, it was common for them to turn up in a place like this only for a short while.
Truthfully, she had never been here. It was strange and unusual. Sorrow never got into too many conflicts where she was in danger. And now the only thing she could do now was read the books on the table. There were no windows or walls in this strange place, just bright white light in every direction. She picked up the first book and looked at its cover. It was blank, so were the pages inside of it.
She awoke some time later.
Her heavy red eyes slowly opened. Sorrows face was tilted to the side, her eyes adjusting to the surroundings. She could see the feet of people around her but she couldn’t move. She tried to lift herself up, slowly grasping the ground, her body slowly shaking, she tried but she couldn’t move. She coughed and tried to speak. She managed to get a few words before becoming unconscious again.
“Give… me… the…” she coughed and blood slowly trickled down her lips. “The… red… potion.”

Ashe watched as Flint practically flew to the inn, then turned her head to watch the newcomer and Lin. "I don't think it's the best idea for you to stay here. I'll call up a breeze to carry you two." Here she motioned towards Sorrow. Just then the fallen opened her eyes and spoke. "Don't speak." Ashe ordered as she searched for the red potion. Finding it she opened the stopper and place the opening to Sorrow's mouth.

Luniya figured it would be best for her and Lin to take it easy. It's never good to push too hard, especially when you don't have to. She plopped down beside Lin and replied, "I'm Luniya Twilight. Nice to meet you, even though I wouldn't mind having met you in better conditions."
Luniya was beat. She almost felt as is she couldn't move another muscle. She couldn't wait to return back to the inn, but she was starting to get comfortble lying there on the grass. She used to love sleeping on the ground when she was younger. She layed back and stared in the night sky. There weren't many stars put tonight. She sighed, Well, I guess everything has to change sometime.

"Yes it would have been nicer, if we had met in better conditions. Either way, it is a pleasure to meet you Luniya." She smiled kindly, and held out her hand for a hand shake. Soon after she had held out her hand, Sorrow awoke and she looked over at her still with her hand towards Luniya. She watched silently as Ashe held the red potion to Sorrow's lips. "Well if the potion really helps you, that would be great. As for the power usage to carry me on the wind back to the inn, I would rather walk. I know we are all exhausted, I can't get you to become more exhausted by using more power. I think we should just relax here a while, I will gain at least enough energy to get to the inn if I just stay calm and relaxed a few moments. This way no one else will have to get as exhausted as me." Lin felt a sharp pain pass through her body, she choose to ignore it and kept a calm face. She had used way too much power with trying something she has never done before. It overworked her mind and her body.

Sorrow forcefully drank the red potion. Her wounds started to heal over slowly but at a much more rapid pace than it would normally take. It would not be a quick fix, but the next time she wakes up she should be able to heal herself back to normal. She was not asleep, yet not awake. She could hear voices but couldn’t make out who they were, or what they were saying. Every second felt like eons.
She awoke again, this time able to sit up. She coughed violently and was looking quite pale. She knew the others were try to get her to sit still but she knew she could handle herself now. She looked up, her vision blurred, trying to make out faces and voices.
She began to heal herself slowly, first at her chest and then at her back. He hands glowed green and her body was healing extremely rapidly now. After healing herself for nearly five minutes she gasped for air and pushed herself up off the ground, stumbling around until she could stand. Her vision adjusted finally and she looked over at the others.
“I’m sorry.” She spoke softly. “I didn’t want any of you to see me like that.” She paused and looked down. “I guess you all already know I’m not human.”
She turned and looked away, her hands covered in dry blood. She reached around on her back but her lute was not there. She stopped for a second to think of where she could have dropped it. She then looked over at the wall she had climbed up and noticed it lying in a bush. She picked it up and examined it. She was happy that her instrument had not broken and all the strings still seemed to be working. She tucked the strap over her shoulder and walked back to the others.
“I should go. I’ve caused you all nothing but trouble.”
She turned and started to walk away.

Ashe shook her head at Lin's comment. "Shifting between forms doesn't take much out of me. Besides a couple of bumps and bruises I'm fine. But alright." Sorrow stirred next to her and sat up. She stayed silent while the other healed herself. After Sorrow stood up, apologized, retrieved her lute, and made the comment about leaving did Ashe speak up. "You make it sound as is not being a human is a bad thing. Anyways who in this ragtag group is a human? Flint's a gnome and I'm a dragon. I don't think Lin or Luniya are humans either. Besides, we came to help you, you haven't caused any trouble." Ashe shrugged her shoulders, "Though I'm not forcing you to stay here. I just wanted you to know that this wasn't your fault and that it doesn't matter that your not human."

Flint sat on his usual stool at the bar, staring out the window behind it at the path that led out. Where was everyone? Still on the path? He sighed, taking a sip of a watered-down drink in front of him, and picking up a wooden staff out of a box at the end of the bar, sizing it, and reaching for his side, and grabbed for his knife... And grabbed nothing but thin air and a small corner of the leather sheath. He swore in Gnomish, and reached for one in a small block near the box of staffs. Oh well, he would just have to make a new weapon, he reasoned, starting to carve the staff.

Luniya rose up and silently shook Lins hands. Luniya looked as Ashe attempted to give Sorrow the red potion just as Lin did. "Yes, I agree no one should use any excess strength. It wouldn't help anybody if we all are exhausted." Luniya said as she nodded her head towards Lin in agreement.
Sorrow gulped down the red potion without hesitation. It almost seemed as if she was asleep, but Luniya wasn't sure. She was quiet though and suddenly she began to cough heavily and Luniya wondered if the red potion really worked. In a few moments she started to heal herself and finally spoke.
Luniya smiled, "Of course your'e not human." Luniya ran in front of her. "You shouldn't go just yet and it was no trouble at all. I think we all were more than happy to help." Luniya paused for a second, "Besides whats so bad about not being human. Some people even claim that I'm a monster. However I'm a werewolf. So yea your'e not human but who cares right?" She shrugged her shoulders, "Be happy youre not human," and she stepped aside to allow her to pass if she still wanted to leave.

Sorrow stopped herself, teary eyed and drenched head to toe, clothes ruined by blood, she started to smile. She tried to stop herself from crying but she couldn’t. Slowly tears slowly trickled down her face. She whipped them away, sniffling a bit, and turned back around to face the others. She stopped to think about what Ashe and Luni had said. She stopped crying and looked at them, this time not at the ground, but at eye level.
“You’re right. I should stop caring that I’m not human. But I so wish I was. I wish I could die, I wish I could feel human.”
She looked down again at her hands, smeared blood and remains of tears, and turned facing away from the others. She looked up at the sky, the rain still pouring down on them.
“I’ll go with you. Where ever you’re going. I promise I won’t get hurt next time. I’m going to need a sewing kit, my clothes are ruined.”
She turned back around looking at all her new companions. She felt at ease for once that there were those who cared about her, they didn’t treat her different just because of who she is, and looked at her as a friend.
So this is what it’s like, to have friends.
[I love how Flint just suddenly forgets about Sorrow, even though she is healed now. He doesn't know that, he's all the way at the harbor bar. xD]

[Lol, Flint's not an a** like that, he ran ahead to warn the bar that some injured people where coming in, and because he's so small, he can't do much to help, so he's sitting, sipping gin...or something]

Lin watched the group, and smiled weakly. Eventually she forced herself to stand up. She stumbled a bit, and caught her balance once more. She moved her hands up to her head and revealed her elven ears. "I am not human either, so we are all different. Humans are more fun to examine then to be, at least we don't carry the weaknesses that humans have. They aren't like us, they get angered quite easilly and start wars over greed and that kind of thing. You don't even have to be human to feel emotions. We already feel emotions, we were all shocked, and probably scared of that beast."
She smiled kindly. Once sorrow mentioned needing some sewing materials, Lin opened one of her leather pouches and took out a needle and some string. It was special string, enchanted by elves so that it would change colour, so the clothes sewed up, wouldn't even look like they had been damaged, and the fixed again. The string was a clear like white colour to begin with. "I have some string and a needle, they are enchanted by my people, so even though the string looks clear and white, once it is in your clothes it will become the same colour as them." She walked over to sorrow and held out the needle, and string, which rested in the palm of her hand. A kind smile was on her face as she held it out.

Sorrow extended her hand and took the sewing kit. She placed it in her breast pocket and smiled back at Lin. She turned to others and wished to heal them, but her powers were extremely low at the moment. She used most of it healing herself.
“Thank you. We should probably get somewhere out of the rain for now.”
She was beginning to feel a bit woozy and her nervousness around crowds was starting to kick in as well. Sorrow had never felt right in a large group of people. She turned away again and looked towards the distance by the fountain. She could see some people were coming out to look at them. They noticed all the black feathers on the ground and the blood everywhere. A small child hid behind its mother. The woman turned the kid away from the strangers and went back inside the establishment she had exited from.
“I think we should go, we’re starting to attract a crowd.”
She sighed heavily and started to walk through the gate. She stopped as the others followed suit.
I wonder where we are going. And what dangers await us.
[One true sacrifice and Gabriel Dragulia haven’t posted in a while. Sierra everyone is either at the harbor town near the human city capital or leaving for there.]

Ashe stood up. "I agree with Sorrow. Flint ran on a head and warned the innkeeper that a few injured people are coming." She walked over to the burnt patch where the monster had been and started looking through the grass. She found Flint's butterfly knife, closed it, and stuck it in one of her pockets. "Shall we?"

(Well you were the minotaur, so maybe you can head to the harbor town from your area looking for Lin or something, since she did leave without much of a goodbye. Lin is about the only character you know so far as well. I could get her to send your character a letter. Actually I might, then you could jump right in. ^^)
Lin looked at the two and thought about the minotaur lord that she hadn't finished speaking with before leaving and coming to the human capital. "You guys go on ahead, I need to do something quickly. I will be fine on my own so don't worry about it. I have the strength to get to the harbour inn." She smiled and then walked into the forest, she looked around for a while before finding an eagle she knew well, and started speaking with it. When she had finished speaking with the eagle, she grabbed out a piece of parchment, and an ink feather pen, with a container of ink. She was safe from the rain underneath the forest trees, and no drops fell on her parchment. She then wrote a letter and this letter read:
Greeting Lord Rok'ryrukar Mantoph of Rarthor Hall.
I apologise for leaving so soon after entering your city. I had gotten the supplies I needed, and rested enough. My journey was a fair distance away, or so I thought, and I wanted to get there as soon as possible. It turns out, that it was not as far away, as I thought at first. It would be nice if we could finish our conversation before I had left. I do hope things are going fine for your city. I am in the human capital, but I am staying at the Harbour Inn just outside it.
I pray that we may meet again, I have found quite a group of companions. None of us are human either. We just finished a battle against a strange beast. It was like nothing I had ever seen before; it had black fur, sharp claws and teeth, a spiked tail, and its skin was as hard as dragon scales. The battle lasted a while, and my companions and I, are a little worse for wear; otherwise we are just fine and dandy. I must go now, for I have to go to the Harbour Inn with my companions. We are all tired so we will probably have some food, and drink, before going to bed.
Farewell, I pray we meet again. From Lady Liniathe Lavich of Windshire Manor.
Liniathe quickly sealed the letter with a drop of wax, and her countries seal. She placed the letter in a leather case. This case would keep the rain off the parchment, since the eagle would be travelling through the rain. It would also make sure that the letter was not lost along the way or damaged in any other way. She connected it to the eagles leg with a bit of thick golden string, and sent it on its way with her blessing. Smiling to herself, she made her way back to her companions and quickly caught up with them. "I suggest we do hurry back before this storm gets any worse."
