Nefir's chatter was cut off abruptly when Shimofuri hugged him. His tirade died to a gurgle and he kicked his legs out, not at Shimofuri, but out in the air like a person trying to run in place. "Can't......breathe...." X_O

"Oops, sorry about that," Shimofuri giggled as she let go of the now slightly blue Nefir. She was definably in a extremely good mood at this point, and she didn't want it to stop. "So, what'cha wanna do now?" she questioned as she rolled over on her back and looked up at him.

Nefir rubbed his throat and chuckled, wincing at the sound. He scratched his ear and thought hard. "Hmm.....how about.....hunting for treasure?"

Shimofuri smiled and nodded at the idea. "That sounds like fun! Do we need to go to the desert or the beach or something to look for it?" she said before staring at Nefir with a innocent grin on her face.

Nefir looked excited and actually started to bounce. "Oh, the desert, definitely the desert. The desert has the best treasures. You know I've heard stories about a great big cave that's buried out in the middle of the desert somewhere that has sooooo much treasure that it's said just a pawful can buy a whole kingdom. BUt I also hear it's reaaaly hard to get treasure out of and it's dangerous; full of pointy rocks and lava."

Shimofuri started to bounce along with Nefir, just as filled with excitement as he. "I've never been to the desert before! That is going to be loads of fun!" she squealed, still bouncing happily. "There's going to be rubies, and gold, and jewels, and rings, and silver and..." she trailed off, rambling about the many treasures that may await them, and ignoring the mention of danger.

Nefir's bounces got higher and higher as he added to the babble. ""And rugs with golden thread and emeralds the size of your head and piles of gold so high you can't touch 'em or they'll fall and bury you, crowns and pretty scepters and flowers made up of pretty petal gems and silvery stems and leaves....."

As she added on to Nefir's babbling, Shimofuri gasped and goofily smiled. SHe raised her arms up, and emphasized the new add-on with a tone of awe. "And a huge golden dragon made up of everything! That'll be there too!"

Nefir cocked his head. "A dragon made of....everything?" He thought for a while, then grinned. "I'd LOVE to see one of those! Let's go!" He trotted off in one direction, his nose in the air. "I guess we should start sniffing around for hot sand."

Shimofuri followed Nefir, trying to sniff out the salts in the sand. She was enjoying the dry grasses that brushed on her skin, and gradually began to get shorter, and the soil more sandy. "I think we're getting close," she said as she started to speed up.

Also noticing the sandyness, Nefir bounded in front of Shimofuri and through a particularly dry and crackly patch of grass to land on solid sand. He looked out on the horizon at the shimmering sea of stingy brown sand and grinned. "Yahoo! I've come home!" He bounced around happily, singing and making long lines of pawprints in the sand. "Follow me to a place where incredible feats, are routine every hour or so, where enchantment runs rampant, yes wild in the streets, open sesame, here we go!"

As Shimofuri came to the final edge between grass and desert, she laughed to herself at Nefir's little song, before singing along with him. She started walking in a random direction into the desert, the warm sand pulling her feet in as she walked, and the sun's rays now beating down on her.

Nefir blinked in surprise and looked at Shimofuri. "How'd you know that song?" Not waiting for an answer, he bounded a small ways away and began furiously digging a hole, soon having it big enough for him to burrow into the sand and face Shimofuri looking like a grinning pile of sand. "Whoooo disturbs my slumberrrrrrr?"

As Shimofuri went to answer Nefir's question, she watched as he began to run away from her and started digging. She could only stare blankly as he buried himself, unable to comment at all. As he spoke again, she giggled and walked over to him saying, "I do, the cupcake of Namiah!"

Nefir opened his mouth to reply, but before he got too far, he got a mouthful of sand. "Knoooooow this, only one may- phhht! Ptoooey! Ptoo! Blech!" He spat out a mouthful of sand and jumped out of the sand pile, shaking sand out of his coat and everywhere else. "Well that didn't work; guess I can't be teh cave after all." He paused for a second, then laughed. "Well, now that I think on it, that cave can't be opened without a magic bug. Looks like we'll have to find one."
