Ephiny didn't really even have to think about whether it would be acceptable for Cyane to stay in the Amazon Village or not, there was no way she could toss out a fellow sister, dead, legendary or whatever. Ephiny smiled and nodded to her Goddess Artemis and than turned to look into Cyane's eyes. "I would be honored if you would stay in our nation." She stuck her hand out and shook the blonde's hand and than smiled a little more. "Of course, you're going to have to have a little initiation ritual.... and that calls for a little celebration." They all laughed together as Xena mumbled something about "Featherheads." and "any excuse to party."

Cyane looked down at the hand then back into Ephiny's eyes and smiled,"I wouldn't mind going throught the ritual agian as long as I get to stay"she said.She grabbed the other girls arm instead of her hand and shook it before crossing thier arms,the sign of the amazon sisterhood.Still grinning she pulled Ephiny close So there was only a milameter seperating them and tilted her head to the side to gage the reaction of the other woman,the killer smile never leaving her beautifull face."I'm open to any celebration and I'm sure Xena is too"she joked as she looked to the dark haired blue eyed warrior and winked then raised her eyebrows suggestively.Cyane then seperated herself from the Queen only to lean on her for support when she laughed at Xena's mutterings.

Gabrielle smiled at the mention of party. If anyone knew how to throw a party, it was the amazons. Didn't matter what event it was, if it was enough to celebrate, then it was enough to have a party. Gabrielle, for one, loved parties. However, for her friend, it seemed like a different story. I should get her to do this, she thought. It might just be enough to loosen her up a bit from the battle.
Gabrielle elbowed Xena lightly in the side. "Come on, Xena. It might be fun. You know, fun; the thing we do ever so rarely. A time for sitting down, enjoying the inward company of people. Besides I think you need some time to relax. You had a hard day. You must be at least a little tired. We can even start traveling at the first wake of dawn. I promise not even to complain. And don't worry, we won't have to stay that long tonight." She stared at Xena as if to say 'I'm going to continue talking until I convince you otherwise'.

Xena couldn't help but roll her eyes at Gabrielle's pleading almost with her to say yes in going to the party. She knew that Gabrielle would go without her if it was necessary, but she also knew that her bard would have a better time if she came...just because that's how Gabrielle was. She couldn't help but grin softly at the persuading tone in the woman's voice. She had to admit it - when Gabrielle wanted something from her, Xena had a damned hard time saying no. She shook her head, giving out a bemused smile, "Oh alright," she said in defeat, shrugging her shoulders. Ah what in tartarus, it could be fun she said, silently trying to comfort herself...though the look of joy that came across her friend's face when she said she'd go was enough comfort for her. She'd made Gabrielle happy - she loved to do that. "Hey what do you mean we don't have fun?" she frowned when it was just the two of them. "What's not fun about busting some heads in every once in a while?" she asked, getting the 'playful' Xena look upon her features. She grinned, giving Gabrielle a gentle shove with her hips from the side, "Well, as long as we get to have a bath afterwards, I'm game," she finished, the idea of an amazon party growing on her, even though she wouldn't admit it.

Artemis nodded. "All right, it's settled, then. I think you'll find your hunters were quite successful, and you should have plenty of food to eat for your celebration. Now, if you have no more need of me, I shall take my leave."

((This Amazon stuff is starting to get tedious...))
Ephiny heart felt heavy for all those that were lost and injured during the war but she was glad that everyone was excited for a celebration. She walked around the village and helped make preparations for everything from the ritual, to the feast and to rebuilding huts for people to finally collapse in after a night of wine and dancing.
Soon the preparations were done, the sun was setting, and the moon taking its place in lighting up the sky. Ephiny smiled to herself and sighed. It will be a good thing to bring in a new Amazon just when so many have died. Its just the kind of hope the tribe needs.

Despite what she'd said, Artemis didn't really leave the Amazon village, she just made herself invisible while she walked among them. She wanted to give the women the chance to pull themselves together without making them nervous by standing over their shoulders.
She knew Cyane could sense her, and she was pretty sure Xena could, as well, but neither woman made mention of it, thankfully. She was just here to watch over things and make sure everyone was safe for now. She observed the Amazons proudly as they meticulously honored their dead and comforted one another, while at the same time, joyously welcoming a new member of the tribe. The Amazons were good women--honorable and spirited--and she was committed to making them stronger....She just wished that she could convince them of that.

Cyane worked along with the others preparing for the celebration,fishing,hunting gathering difrent fruits and other plant life.She was helping one of the other amazons to figure out what flowers to use when she sensed Artemis watching invisably nearby.She sighed and tried to ignore the presance of the goddess but it was hard becouse she felt like the woman was watching her every move and scrutinizing everything she did.Cyane shrugged her shoulders in order to relax a bit more then glanced quickly over to Ephiny and smiling before the amazon she was helpings voice interupted her thoughts,"I thought maybe we could use a mix of Azalie(look it up its a real flower and really pretty too)and maybe some popies?"she asked."Uh right sure but I don't know if popies would look right thought"Cyane replied.

Ephiny sat back against a log by the fire and lazily watched many Amazons dancing happily around the fire, lifting a glass of wine to her lips she drained the cup and sighed contently. the entire nation had been silent for a candlemark of prayer for those that were lossed in the battle, there were many funeral pyre's and songs sang. Then there was the welcoming ritual, which had gone well, with Gabrielle, the rightful queen presenting Cyane with the rites of the Amazon Nation. Than there was a feast, which wasn't much but was enough to make the Amazons feel lucky to have it.
And now finally they had taken out the wine, and cider, and ale and everyone was loosening up for a little fun, even if it was the kind of fun with the undercurrent of tears and loss. Everywhere she looked Ephiny could see Amazons dancing, laughing, drinking, kissing, passed out on the ground or walking back to huts hand in hand.
Ephiny stood up and stretched, she looked around the fire and spotted the person she was looking for. She walked up to Cyane and bowed her head a little.
"I would like to welcome you to the Amazon Nation." She said with a friendly smile.

She was happily dancing with one of the other amazons,drinking only a little so that she could keep her wits about her but she was enjoying herself.Suddenly hearing Ephiny's voice welcoming her to the tribe Cyane turned and smiled at her.With a soft voice Cyane spoke, moving close so that Ephiny could here her,"thank you very much would you care to dance?you haven't had any fun since this celebration started".Her smile wide now and an eyebrow raised as she whaited for Ephiny's reply.

Ephiny bit her lip and contemplated whether she felt up to dancing. Its true I haven't had any fun in a while... Slowly a small smile spread across her face. "Maybe after one more glass of wine." She said just as she reached out and grabbed a glass from a passing Amazon who held a serving tray full of glasses of the rich Amazon Wine; she tilted her head back and emptied the glass in one gulp. She looked at Cyane who was watching her in amusement
"Okay, I'm ready."

A laugh escaped her before she grabbed the former queen's hand and dragged her out to whare the others were dancing.No more words were needed as Cyane began to move to the beat,swaying her hips and moving her head,letting the music take control.The usually sollem shameness let herself get lost in everything,she even pulled Ephiny along with her when she thought the woman wasn't getting into it enought.

Ephiny did her best to let go and have fun as she danced with Cyane but the other Amazon didn't seemed pleased as she raised her eyebrows and grabbed Ephiny's hands, pulling her closer and coaxing her to really let go. Ephiny chuckled nurvisouly and tried not to blush, she thought of herself as more of a warrior than someone who could just have fun. Soon though she could feel the wine moving through her body and she felt a rush of warmth and relaxtion; finally she closed her eyes and just focused on the music and the need to celebrate herself and those around her after such a devastating time.

Cyane laughed agian,now she was finaly starting to get into it and now the fun was really getting started."Wooo!"she yelled and was replied by sevral others woops and hollers.Looking agian ot Ephiny she smiled and shook her head,letting her wild mane of gold flutter throught the air as she danced."Come on Eph you can do better than this!"Cyane joked as she put her hands of the other womans waist.It seemed the entire village was more relaxed now and more free even thought not long ago they had to fight for that freedom.
(we should skip to the next day maybe so Xena and Gabbyl can leave)

((I agree, though Xena and Gabby already left awhile ago!! xd ))
"Uhhgg..." Ephiny opened her eyes and shut them again right away as the sunlight pounded her aching head, moaning she reached up and tangled her hands into her messy hair. "I am never drinking again." She promised to herself as she tried to sit up, falling back down to her bed she sighed, than made a few more attempts before finally being able to steady herself enough to sit up. She opened her eyes and looked around her hut, it was a mess, she must have knocked everything over as she stumbled from the party into bed, her clothes were lying on the ground too. She stood up on unsteady legs and stretched, hearing many bones crack, and than slowly and painfully got dressed. In about an hour she walked out of her hut and made her way to the makeshift dining area that was put up temporarily until a new one could be built, as she looked at the food she decided that most of it didn't look appetizing, so she settled for a glass of water and a little fruit. She walked around until she saw the table Cyane was sitting at with a few other Amazons and she smiled at them and sat down. "Good morning." She said in a scratchy morning voice.
