Jesus, please let me live through this war. Please let me be able to tell that man my true identity. Please let all my family be protected. Amen. prayed Merlyn as she ran. The small cross on her neck was gold against it. She jumped another fallen tree.

Mathius sat down at a makeshift desk and started to read the Proverbs in the Bible...He started to write a prayer for his next battle as he has done thousands of time...

"heres a list of places near here that could use a new nurse," Isha wrote down some of the places and then remembered something," aahh, if you want to still live here there is a base that needs a new nurse just outside of the city."

As he finished the sixth journal page he looked at a picture of his parents from twenty years ago...he started to weep a little and put the prayer in his belts...

Merlyn stopped running. It was dark out, and she needed to get back to her camp. She sighed, and caught her breath. SHe looked up at the stars. "Did you really hear me, Lord?" she asked. She began to walk back to the camp, slowly so that she wouldn't appear to the soldiers. She fingered the second charm on her necklace. It was a gold disk imprinted with the Harps crest.

Mathius walked out of his tent and hung his wet shirt out...he saw a figure in the dark...he decided to leave them be.

Mathius saw the figure dart for cover and crouched as he checked the skies for fire power..."It is alright, if you want privacy I will just walk back into my tent."

Merlyn realized that right now, she looked like a sweaty woman wearing trousers and a corset. "No, it's all right, I'm just passing through," she said, reaviling herslef.

Merlyn was speachless. "Damn," she said, sitting down. She sighed. "At least I can tell you the real story behind why I joined up..." she said. She stared into the fire. "My twin brother, Mathew Harps, dissapeared in the attack of Washington D.C six months ago along with his two comanding officers, Jeremiah and Vincent Catino. I joined this war a month after hearing the news. We are really close...I didn't take it well..So I ran away to my great-grandmother's and she helped me with my disguise," she said. She sighed.
