Wait, did his stomach just grumble? It would be rather embarrassing if the others had heard it. It would be best to take his leave before the protests grew louder. Chase preened his chest feathers and took a deep breath. It had been a really pleasant talk. He bid farewell to the two males, then the fledglings and finally he turned to Hazel and bowed before her once again. “Goodbye, Hazel.” He said simply before turning to Roth “And goodbye to you, too, little one. Take good care of the lady.” And with a silly grin decorating his dark features, Chase dropped from the branch, flapping his wings a couple of times before gliding to the Gatherer’s tempting banquet.

"Goodbye, Mr. Chase!" Thorn called after him. He turned back around to look at Bracken. "What were you saying about a fish, Mr. Bracken? Did you REALLY catch one as big as the Brigadier? How'd'ya lift it? Did it fight?"

Hazel nodded back to Chase as he left, her own stomach burbling softly. It seemed Bracken had found a willing and adoring audience in Thorn, and so she scooted around Roth--not once away from him though--to face Liam. She smiled, amazingly pleased to just be near friends, especially such nice ones.
"Anything you'd like to do while this one weaves his tale?" She twitched an eartuft in Bracken's direction. "I'm sure those two will be there ages, I've heard this one, and it's long. Longer each time. The fight takes longer, the fish is bigger. You know how it goes." She winked, playfully mocking Brack.

Liam shrugged. "How about going and grabbing a bite to eat? I had a snack earlier, but I've gotten hungry again. We could go find a hunter, or go try and track down some mice ourselves. Or we could ask Bracken to catch us a fish... I'm sure his Briggy fish is still around somewhere, it'd take months to eat something that size!"

Hazel nodded in agreement. Food would be nice, and her stomach voiced its thoughts again.
"Hah! I guess we agree then!" She though a moment on the foods. All of it sounded good, frankly. REALLY good. "There are the berries and nuts from the Gatherers too. I think we should try to get something ourselves though, if it's meat we want. All the game will be far off with so many Sentinels here, and I'd hate to take someone else's time from them just for a treat. What do you say?"

"Indeed- besides, I haven't found my own in a while, and I want to stay in practice," Liam agreed. "You know the food territory better than I do; you lead the way!" He prepared himself for taking off, grabbing Roth and sticking him next to Thorn. The Skurri grumbled, but Thorn grabbed him close as he listened to Bracken's tale.

Late as always, late as always.Orynn huffed embarrassedly at her counterpart's words, unusually scornful for the twittering Parus, as the ever-tardy pair hurriedly darted between the slowly waving boughs of the forest's oaks. She'd been reminding herself of this grand event for many moons now, and yet, in the heat of her scientific exploits, she'd nonetheless simply forgotten. As soon as she'd realised which night it was, she'd dropped her pestles and dashed away, almost leaving poor Twyll behind in her absentmindedness. She could only hope now that she hadn't missed the festivities. Oh, thank Noctus, she muttered to herself, as she finally heard the chattering of the party growing louder in the distance. A few random Sentinels rolled their eyes when she eventually landed, still slightly behind the crowd for her own comfort's sake. Ignoring any inevitable remarks against her, she almost instantly took to searching for her beloved father and brother amongst the endless sea of feathered bodies - occasionally stopping to admire her handiwork in their wonderfully bright colours. Twyll, meanwhile, simply hopped away to grab a snack. (OOC: I had to wait a couple of days to keep her in character... Orynn would never show up to an event on time. XP)

Geddel glanced at the small group that had popped up around her. "Very nice to meet you all," she said with a nod. "My name is Geddel. Quite the gathering tonight, isn't it?"

Tousled heard Birch's announcement and made ready to lift off. Maybe she could bump into him by the buffet and... She heard the bard-bells approach before she could see the bright Wildtype, and realised after a few seconds of careful listening that he was actually coming her way! All thoughts of stalking the bard flew off like dropped feathers in moulting season, and she began to preen frantically.
When he appeared from behind an unusually big Mist, only a wingspan away from her, she tried very hard to look as casual and unsuspecting as possible - an image that was only slightly ruined by the shyly expectant smile on her beak.
She couldn't help but giggle at his proposition. The festive air had started to infect her, and that Birch had come to her had given her a wonderful self-confidence boost, so she decided to play along a little, nodding mischievously and replying in a conspiratory whisper:
"Okay, and in the confusion, I'll grab as much food as I can carry. We'll meet up behind that bushy branch over there." She pointed with her wing. "Want me to grab something in particular?"
She felt a giddy rush as she looked up into his eyes. It was a little bit frightening, but fun at the same time, to be playful with someone else besides Tuft, for once.
Tuft, on the other hand, stretched out his wings and muttered to himself. "Tousled no want talk, eh? Tousled no want have fun? Pah!"

Tired of scouring the masses, Orynn sighed in annoyance. She was unable to spot her family and, as such, she felt quite alone by her own unusual standards. Perhaps they'd been and gone, or perhaps she simply couldn't see them for the hundreds of other Sentinels in the way; whatever the case may have been, the result was the same. She felt extremely self-conscious, out in the open like she was, and her first reaction was to either leave or hide in a nearby hollow trunk. As with any introverted science geek, she just didn't like crowds.
However, it was then that she noticed Twyll's unexplained absence.
...Twyll? Has anybody seen Twyll?

Echo wasn't with his bard this evening, instead he had amused himself by fluttering about whistling at other Parus and landing on random Sentinel heads. He had and finally wound his way to the place where some kind hearted keepers had prepared a feast fit for small companions. This particular gatherer was surrounded by Parus in every shape and colour. Echo sang a simple tune that roughly translated to "Get out of my way, I'm hungry too." and started picking out the best seeds from a pile on the branch.
Birch hadn't really intended to crash into anything when he jokingly suggested it, but he wasn't one to back down since Tousled apparently liked the idea. He was big enough and loud enough to be able to clear a path through the crowd without injuring himself or anyone else. He hoped.
"I don't suppose there'll be any Skurri left," he said after thinking for a while, "But you can grab me some blueberries or fruit and a piece of whatever meat is left."

Fern glided quickly through the cool night air, avoiding the trees rushing by with ease. The young chirop clinging to her back began to shiver from the air rushing by, and he pulled himself further into Fern's feathers. "Cold, Micah?" she asked, looking back for a second to make sure he was okay. Micah nodded his head furiously and said quickly, "Yep! It just cold."
Fern laughed lightly at her little friend's response. He was too young to be able to keep up with her, so she let him hold onto her while they flew to the grand event. "Not much longer and you'll be able to get down and warm up, little one. In fact, I belive I see the others now." she said, slowing down and landing on a large tree branch near Bracken and Thorn.
"Good evening." she said to them, settling her feathers at Micah climbed off. "I'm Fern, and this is Micah." she nodded down towards Micah, who was hopping around to warm himself back up. "Hi hi!" he said cheerily to the two when he stopped hopping around.

Tousled fluffed up visibly, but her yellow eyes glittered as thrills of nervousness and mischief ran up and down her spine. Birch looked like he was considering actually doing it, and even though she had only been joking, Tousled found herself hesitant to say so.
She imagined Birch crashing through the crowd, making a huge ruckus, and herself landing like a silent, brownish shadow right next to the food while everyone was distracted... But it would cause such a scene...! But Birch was a performer - he, if anyone would pull it off. But what if somebody saw her? Wouldn't that be like stealing? But... it would be... very much fun.
Torn, she turned her big golden-yellow eyes on the bard and whispered:
"Are we really going to do it?"

Hazel laughed heartily at the thought that she would know the are better. Just because she was the color of those common to this area didn't mean she lived much here. Sadly no, this was one of her rare trips deep into 'town' as it were. But if they went a ways out--one look around at the mass chaos ensured that--she might have some clue. Giving a final ruffle to Roth's head, she checked for clear skies and leapt away.
"I think I might know something close...not much, just a nest of little chipmunks, but if they're as good as I remember..." She trailed off, circling until Liam could join her. Once he did, she fluttered on, banking around the taller trees and passing birds. As they went, the noise grew dim and the traffic much slower. Eventually there was not a soul to be seen, save the hunting pair.
"It's around here, I think." She circled quietly, waiting to see if anything broke the stillness of the ground cover.

"Sure," Birch said, allready excited at the thought of causing trouble, "Well, I'll try not to crash for real, but It'll be faster than to shuffle towards the gatherers and hunters through this crowd."
