Kira shrugged and replied, "It'd pass the time, but if you're saying this shinobi tried to assassinate a Kage then they're not worth looking at." She spits on the grave, "Traitors shouldn't even have the honor of being buried with a marked grave."

Kage returned the shrug with a shrug of his own, "What's done is done, so I've no ill will towards him, traitor or not."
He waved it all off as he walked towards the gravestones again, eyeing the wear and tear of the ninjas gravestone. "Supposedly he atoned for his sins by killing some guy named Gato. And thanks to his sacrifice they were able to finish that bridge...that Great Narudo Bridge or whatever they named it...." whether or not he called it by the right name hardly bothered him, it was moreso the thought of what would happen if a Mikazuki had turned traitor.
A cool breeze then carressed the two, sending a sudden shiver up the shadow nins spine, "I have a feeling that after we've finished this mission, Yura will summon me and only the princess would know what the Spider Queen has in mind for me."

Shade had walked through the walls again and back to the two. He had stood there in silence for a few moments, waiting for a spot in their conversation to interject. When he saw, he went for it.
"So anyways, that town is kind of...dinky. I saw some weird guy who I'm sure looked right at me and said something about waiting for someone? I'm not sure that really helps, I just felt I should notify you two." His gaze turned from them to the gravestones, eying them over for a second.
"Hey... if they were trapped here as ghosts, is there a chance they could... I dunno, kill my spirit?"

Kira thinks about that for a minute then states, "I don't know...probally. But if they were here we'd see them by now. It's probally more likely they're rotting in hell with the other traitors."
As to the man that saw you she asks, "So what you're saying is you THINK someone saw you, but you didn't get it confirmed and he said something about meeting someone which may or may not have to do with our mission?" She twirls a lock of her hair in her hand as she tries to figure out if that report is worth figuring out.

((Sorry for the lack of postage work shifts have lengthened and a family member has passed away, so I've been incredibly busy as of late...))
"You'd figure if it was the person we're looking for they'd at least attempt to blend in a bit more than you claim. And if they're aware of your presence, Shade, then it could quite possibly be a trap." he unconsciously ran a hand through his hair in a feeble attempt to clear his mind.
"What do you think Kira? Should he continue investigating the stranger or should he investigate the remainder of the village?"

((I took a week off myself! (^.^)b ))
Kira says, "The rest of the village we don't even know if this guy is the informant. I don't see why someone trying to contact Akatsuki would have some omnipresence to see spirits....but... still." She purses her lips thinking about, "The guy is either some kind of priest, one of those "seers" or from Onigashima."

With a shrug of the shoulders Kage spoke, "You heard the lady. Go ahead and search the rest of the village. Keep your eyes open for anything suspicious and stay out of trouble."
Somehow he felt out of place staying behind whilst his dead friend played "search for the bad guys". Yet the thought of being at a disadvantage during the day easily wiped the slate of bothersome thoughts clean.

Kira plopped herself down on the grave next to the one with the giant sword and pulled out a journal. She began to scribble down some of her thoughts as she hummed.
Hirogaru yami no naka kawashiatta kakumei no chigiri..

Kira was busy doodling in her journal and his other teammate left to search the village, leaving Kage with little to do. He drew his sword from its sheath while in his other hand he grasped a whetstone. Much like his team leader, he too plopped down next to the graves, instead sitting next to the one with a tattered scarf dangling from it. With a few small swipes with the whetstone he then began to sharpen his blade.

Kira continued to write in her journal but the sound of a sword being sharpened next to her caused her to stop...stare...attempt to start again...glare....attempt to start again...then sigh and say "Seriously, that's not distracting or anything you know. You don't get to do missions with other people much do you? Actually it's a little weird.... you're a Mikazuki and a Jounin, how did you get stuck not being squad leader?"
Meanwhile inside the city as you search around nothing seems out of the usual, until you pass a small fish stand and see a man looking over the goods. On his pinky finger is a ring of Akatsuki.

The moment Kira decided to have an outburst Kage had pocketed the whetstone and sheathed his long sword, contemplating how to answer her questions all at once.
"I am sorry that it bothered you, and no I don't really team up with very many ninja." he paused, thinking about how low the survivability rate most of his missions had been in the past. Hence the princess had always decided to send him solo due to his past endeavors with surviving on his own in the Forbidden Country for so many years, "As for the reason I myself am not the leader, it's simple really. I am lacking in people skills, which I have finally been developing over the past 4 years. All that's left for me now is to work on my leadership skills. Perhaps then the Princess will nominate me as the leader of a team of shinobi."
Though somewhere within the depths of his consciousness he doubted it was as simple as that....

Kira looked at Kage oddly, "It took you...4... years... to develop people skills.... really?" her expression showing a cross between not believing you and disbelief that someone could be that socially awkward. "Well if you want to work on your leadership skills I see no reason for you not to boss the other guy around a little bit." She winks.

"Well...um...yeah." Kage glanced at her while awkwardly scratching his head. "All I had to interact with had been the creatures of the Forbidden Country. And I doubted you'd try to strike a conversation with a Black Alligator."
He paused, considering Kira's playful offer. "Bossing Shade around kinda sounds like fun...." he murred, wearing the sliest of smiles.

Kira grinned, "A Mikazuki smiling AND out in the middle of the day. What other surprises could this day hold."
There is a slight change in the wind and it's enough to cause a loose page in Kira's journal to fly out and into the air, "Damn it!" she says, getting to her feet to chase the page. As she grabs it out of the air she turns paler than normal as she spots something moving in the forest.

The sound of bells carry in the air as a cloaked figure wearing a straw hat can be seen moving through the forest slowly.

Jingle~jingle As soon as the melody of bells met his ears he was aware of a new presence and the pale expression upon Kira's face clearly meant bad news. His hand drew close to his hilt, approaching Kira as he spoke, "This must be a surprise you hadn't expected. Should we face them now? Or do you have some other plan in mind?"
