I had a wonderful idea for a defensive line. That would certainly look spiffy...I'll post some pictures up later.

Our club is planning to have a massive invasion one week after the initial release of PS, giving the club enough time to build some bastions, bunkers and defences for our 6' by 8' table.
I'm going to act as the air support! blaugh

I'm air support! mrgreen
We won't kick things off on the 4th though, first we'll build some bunkers and defence lines, write a little narrative and give the book a few good reads.

I hate the GW links... I always get rerouted to a "pick your country" page, which promptly sends me to the GW homepage. stressed

Indeed...
This almost seems to be taking a step back into the likes of the 3rd-edition scenarios, where there was a myriad of special rules, fortifications, types of deployment, and always a distinct attacker/defender.

True, there is a distinct line between the attacker and defender but as my spiffy " review" of the book shows, it makes for a fun new type of battle when all rules and whatnots come into play. I wouldn't call it a complete step back though, as the rules and stratagems add a good flavour to the game. You'll laugh like mad when you dump the debris of a spaceship onto the enemy.
