I would not like to see anyone banned from Gaia unfairly. To punish all that were quite innocently trading items won or lost (though one has to conceed that some may be more innocent than others) is quite sad, for the majority of people that come onto this site do so to catch up with some people, some of whom could only meet on somewhere like this and could mean a lot more than just coming online to fill in a few hours before something else comes along .

(Normally when i am online, I am catching many people who get up very early in the morning just to be here doing jigsaws and stuff. To be honest I only see one 5'oclock....and that is in the afternoon!!!! )But I digress....

I can see why botting is itself a negative side-effect to online sites like this. The pursuit for more and better, and in some cases addictive. Most will do everything according to the guidelines of the site that they are on, but the urge to turn up the next time they are on in the latest and greatest seems to be too much. It ends up being just like a real economy, and unfortunately the corrupt invade the non-corrupt. But to punish all is just going to confuse those that purely come on to enjoy themselves.

Sure if there is a way of tracking this botted gold to the source, that person should be dealt with under the quidelines of the site, but should there be a warning or something first? I stumble my way through Gaia and am happy wandering that way...I learn what I need to know about getting round. Mr Snuggle wouldn't know me, but his fishing room is always full and it could be seen by the length of time spent on that he did catch all those fish. I smiled when I saw he was at the top of the fishing comp. Is there a problem with the logistics of fish vs time fishing?

I would not know whether I received botted gold from selling something at the marketplace as I have not sold anything..but to put ejected without knowing exactly what i had done wrong and how that could be rectified.

But what would I know...I am a noob

Said it in one chum. I am no noob been on Gaia a while, but I have no idea if any of the stuff I bought off the market comes from botted gold.
Snugs is a nice person known him ages - on line that is.
I know he wouldn't have a clue where to start with botting.

OMG if we knew that we'd be ubber rich here.

According to fishin mods you can spent too much time fishin!
I am afraid to buy in the MP now cause I keep hearing about people who have been banned for buying stuff that someone else bought with botted gold. Well how exactly are we supposed to know that they bought it with botted gold? Its not like they advertise that!! And why would someone get banned for that?? What did they do that is wrong?? If gaia has concerns about it then they mabe should remove the market place!! After all they Take gold for every sale. So they are guilty of recieving Botted gold as well! Does that mean they should ban themselves!?!?

The game is currently down. All servers at every lake are down. There's no guarantee of when they can be brought back up, but I'm going to shoot for poking someone monday at the latest.
Not to be sound rude or anything, but does this have anything to do with my thread about good fishers getting banned that was moved from here to chatterbox, only to be deleted from chatterbox?

Nothing to do with it in the least. Sometimes the servers get overloaded, it's that simple. They need a little reset to get them going again, but the person needed for that probably will be unavailable until Monday.
Here is the word from Gaidin, he was quick to get back to me... lol

Guess he wanted to make sure we don't think we're making any difference!! MUST just be a co winky dink!!!

actually the servers going down is a common occurance it just has nit happened very much lately. some months it went down every weekend. when it happens on the weekends its horrible as it rarely gets fixed before monday.

I added a request to join cuz this place seems great. Now onto what I intend to leave... I'm pretty sure once they found out there was money to be made here, our opinion kinda fell out the window.

Perhaps if all the gaming went down we would all be safer. Less chance of being banned.

Hopefully the MP will go down too, just to be on the safe side.

They could always eliminate gold too.

I see number 1 on Durem is still fishing away, suppose he doesn't spend long hours fishing, therefore the mods don't feel the need this past few weeks to ban him. Am disgusted that they have taken this line that if you spend long hours fishing your botting, bullsh1t.

Its hypocritical of them to allow someone who is evidently botting to continue fishing like they are doing with that guy, letting his botted gold enter the economy and ruin numerous players accounts. 120,260 items caught, if that isn't botting I'll eat my hat and my scarf and my gloves.

Unban Snugs and DHunter

Think Angel must have been unbanned as her scores are going up again having looked at high scores.
