Player: Orasteele Name: Citrine Nicknames: None. Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 14/04/200? Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: Citrine is very warm and motherly sort. Watching over the clan's hatchlings as a third parent of sorts has always been a job that she has looked forward too. History: Upon adulthood Citrine chose to remain among the parentless hatchlings as a Minder. There were too many like herself that were raised not by those that had sired them for her not to remain and care for them. Because of her devotion to the hatchlings, Citrine has never really explored the possibilities of forming a family of her own. Her current charge is the strange white egg which she is fostering as her own. Territory: She generally keeps close to the trees used by the Minders, extending out to about a 5mile radius when she is not taking care of the clan's hatchlings. Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Scaramouche Fandango Name: Liam Nicknames: Snowdust, for the spots on his head Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 21 March Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: They call him "The Eternal Fledgling," for indeed, Liam is the Sentinel that never grew up... or at least he seems that way. One feather over the line and it's gone, and that line is directly in front of his charges. It is said that Liam's ancestors protected hatchlings in the Great War and, thanks to them, the next generation of Sentinels survived. However, the hatchlings and fledglings don't know that he'd freely sacrifice himself to protect them- they just think he's Uncle Liam, and know that he probably has a tender mouse tail or unidentified insect part cleverly hidden in his feathers, just for them. To other adults, Liam is very polite and well-spoken, and he has a special fondness for Bards, often coaxing them into putting on a special performance or coming down to recite something on rainy days when he can't properly instruct the fledglings in flying. A patient and understanding teacher, he excels at finding whatever a fledgling is particularly good at and coaxing them on the proper path. Liam is famous for saying once that he'd protect anything that was small and innocent... even a Spectre chick. History: Liam spent his fledgling days protecting hatchlings and other fledglings, even if they were bigger than him. His mother is a Ranger; his father, a Minder like his son, and he never ever considered Minding a female's job. Territory: Liam's nest is in a tall beech tree in the Deep Woods. His easy-going nature coupled with his almost barbaric protective instincts towards fledglings makes him popular with some Sentinels, because they don't have to worry when their hatchlings are with Liam. Mate: None , but it's his dream to have one, so he can have eggs of his own Companions: Yes Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Roth Species: Skurri Age: Young Speech Ability: 5, but it might as well be 1 for all he talks Skill: Roth's paws make him perfectly suited for digging and grabbing- useful for disposing of the chicks' pellets and finding the most sumptuous worms and grasshoppers. The little creature knows, though, that if he did not do his job one of the same fledglings would probably eat him. As he's been told, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it, and as his mother always said, if you're valuable, you might be too valuable to eat.

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: StrawberriLori Name: Typhoon Nicknames: Ty Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 3/2 Type: Ghost Task: Minder Personality: Ty is seen by many as a grandfatherly figure, and he takes great pride in making sure all the youngsters are included in games and if some young one is feeling neglected he will often take them aside and play with them himself. He isn’t above acting silly to entertain hatchlings or fledglings, and so some view him as little more than an incompetent old fool.
Ty is good at what he does, and knows it, so he doesn’t let these views belittle his self worth. He has seen many hatchlings grow into fledglings and many graduations, and is well learned in the ways of teaching young Sentinels how to survive and thrive.
Though he is an older Sentinel, he is of the mindset that learning is a life long quest, and therefore will listen to anyone who has specialty in an area, because it might one day be very important to the survival of the fledglings he cares for.
History: No one knows quite how old Typhoon is, but many Minders could not imagine the enclave without the grandfatherly child rearing Ghost Sentinel. He has been a familiar face for a good long time for stressed and scared parents to look to for reassurance.
It is easy to understand, because Ty is a bit larger than your average Ghost, and the coloring of his feathers only adds to the perception of his size. They realize that their child will be safe while under the Minders’ watch, whether they are leaving their children there temporarily or long-term.
After his mate’s disappearance, he moved from the edge of the Cold Forest in to the edge Deep Woods, seeking company as a way to deal with his grief at the passing of his mate. He had always loved taking care of fledglings before, and with the move in closer to the main hub of Sentinel activity, he is able to more often care for them.
He has mentioned in passing that his mate’s name was Milkweed and that she was a beautiful pale Mist Sentinel with green eyes and shimmering green dye on her wingtips. Other than that, he doesn’t like to talk about her, and will get very quiet if asked more about Milkweed. Most Sentinels assume she is dead, but Typhoon has never clarified this point.
Territory:A half dead oak tree about an hour from the river, and a few hours flight to the forest. It is firmly planted in the deep woods, and while one side of the oak tree is growing and thriving, the other half is near dead, only producing a few leaves every spring. Most of his time is spent in the Minder’s enclave, though, which may be why so many see him an important part of the enclave.
Mate: None Companions: Mus Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Dune Species: Mus Age:Adult Speech Ability: 3 Intelligence: 5 Skill:He entertains the young Sentinel with his acrobatic tricks. Typhoon keeps a close eye on Dune, because he was a young Mus when Milkweed was around, and therefore carries a lot of sentimental value for Ty. For this reason, he insists that Dune always be near him, and goes into a panic that is rather unlike his normal demeanor when Dune can’t be found. Dune understands his Sentinel’s panic, to a certain degree, and tries to stay close to Ty not only for protection, but also out of respect and happiness for not allowing others to eat him.

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Six Of Spades Name: Firefly Nicknames: None that she knows of. Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 30/5/200? Type: Shadow Task: Minder Personality: Firefly is kind, and patient, and is rather altruistic, often thinking of others before herself. She does not like it when those she is close to or those in her care are upset and she will do anything she can to help them feel better. Firefly is a polite and upbeat sort of individual who takes things in stride, althought she has been known to adopt a no nonsense sort of attitude if her charges are getting too rowdy or cross a certain line. History: Firefly's parents dropped her off into the care of the Minders as an egg. Her mother was a gatherer and her father was a scout, so they were out and about almost all of the time. She grew up under the care of the Minders and as she grew closer to graduating, she realized that she had a love for the work that they did. She loved being around the younger fledlings and hatchlings. She decided to dedicate her life to the care of the young of the Sentinel Clan. Territory: Firefly's nest is in the deep woods, near the Minder's Enclave. It isn't a particularly large territory, just enough for what she needs. She prefers the more densely forested area, partially because she isn't fond of wide open spaces and also when hatchlings are beginning to fledge, there's plenty of branches to help catch a fledgling or at least to slow a fall. Mate: None, but she hopes to find one someday. Companions: No Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Lyran Name: Medlar Nicknames: None Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 04/16/200? Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: Calm, caring, and patient, but willing to be firm when need be, Medlar has just about the perfect temperament for a minder. Generally understanding, he likes just about everyone and tries very hard not to judge anyone until he truly gets to know them well. He is also generally pacifistic and a lover of all life. History: Medlar's father was a hunter, his mother a minder. As such, he grew up in the minder's enclave, and was sort of unofficially apprenticed as a minder as he grew up, helping out wherever he could once he was old enough. It was not in the least bit surprising that once he grew up, he too became a minder. Territory: A birch tree in the minder's enclave Mate: None Companions: Nope Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Sukkubus Name: Twistumbler Nicknames: Twist, Tumble Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 30/08 Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: Twist is a little bit of everything. Eclectic, scatter-brained, and motor-mouthed, you can either love him or hate him – but please, more of the former! He’s a terribly cuddly fellow! Having eggs and hatchlings as a constant in his life, Twist has assimilated into a manner of being that accommodates his small charges. He is eager to keep the younger Sentinels happy and positive; if a young one needs advice, he’s your go-to Sentinel! A fun-loving Minder, he will drop his tasks if a hatchling or fledging is antsy to explore or play.
However, all this talk of fun and games does have a negative effect on his personality. Because he is around eggs, hatchlings, and fledglings all of the time, his vernacular has fallen from the proverbial grace. Speaking with Sentinels his age is often a hit or miss: he has the habit of treating them as he would his charges. Like children. And as they say habits are, it is hard for him to break…not that he really tries.
He is amiable, easily distracted, and the taller the tale, the bigger the fan – if it had not been for his love for hatchlings, Twist would have no doubt become a Bard; he admires them greatly, because he is still both a child and romantic at heart. History: Twistumbler was born one of two eggs to a pair of offbeat Sentinel: his father was a Minder and his mother was an Artisan if that’s explanation enough. Perhaps he is a result of all of the dye his mother made….
He was raised with cookie cutter normalcy, but there was a bit of a role reversal amongst his sire and dam: his father coddled him to the extreme, while his mother was more academic. She had a bizarre way of showing her love, be it experimental paintjobs or otherwise. But they were both very easy on him and his sibling, allowing them to have a little more freedom than norm at a young age, but still retaining family-oriented values.
Twistumbler really is his parent’s son, though – he grew up just as encouraging as his father and (unfortunately) as frivolous and forgetful as his mother. Hoping to stay surrounded by the affection he loved to dole out, Twist became a Minder and aspires to assist if nothing else.
Territory: He eats, sleeps, and breathes with the hatchlings! Mate: None. Companions: Yes. Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Catch Species: Parus Age: Young Speech Ability: 3 Intelligence: 3 Skill: Catch is an energetic busybody, but also works as Twist’s second pair of eyes. Everything he misses (which tends to be a lot) Catch will, well, catch! He is also straighter-laced than his keeper is; while Twist seems accustomed to the messes hatchlings make, Catch will not stand for it. Everything he gets his tiny claws on has to be neat and orderly.

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Surreality Name: Timberdust Nicknames: Timber Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Senior Hatch Date: 09/08/?? Type: Ghost Task: Minder Personality: Timber is a very kind and gentle soul, if you ignore a few strict rules and her ample reinforcements of correct etiquette and manners. Her old age brings not only a stiffness to her walk, but a strong background of old traditions and mindset. Forget those new gadgets and frivolous dye-wear [nevermind that she's quite covered herself], courtesy and chivalry will always impress her for the better [besides, those new gadgets are beginning to be a bit too complex for her dear old self to bear!]
However, with the old mindset comes a few negative aspects of Timber that are best to not talk about in public, or to even go so far as chastising her. She is quite prejudiced against the Spectre hatchling and severely disappointed in its continued allowance to live. She'll comfortably give her opinion to anyone who asks for it, as Spectres had killed many of the generation before her, and she can't understand why the chick is alive when there is so much blood in its past and heritage.
Aside from the bad, Timber really is caring and well suited for her task; just try not to be rude or get on her disgruntled side.
History: Timber was raised in the Minder's enclave as her parents had involved themselves in the Great Clan Wars, along with many others. Although she was only a fledgeling at the time, she felt a sense of betrayal and loss when she heard that her parents did not survive, and when she grew, she decided to help her loving secondary parents by becoming a minder herself, and took care of those who were left alone as a result of the war as she was.
She led a very happy young life, enjoying her task and taking care of the youngins, gossiping with her friends, and most of all, the courtship with a promising, older ghost scout by the name of Silverstreak. She was smitten at once, and the two carried a healthy relationship between her minding and his scouting.
However, they refused to start a family until they were both around to help care for the chicks, as they'd prefer their offspring to have something that they never did growing up during the war: real parents by their side. It wouldn't be until they were much older, that they would retire from their tasks to finally settle down and hatch a son by the name of Silverdust. While it was odd for such an old couple to raise their own in their age, they managed quite well with their one and only, and more happiness ensued.
By the time Silverdust graduated, proclaimed his task to be a scout like dear old dad and even began his own family with a single egg with , Streak was beginning to feel his old age grasping around him like a tight cloak on a cold winter night. Being older than Timber, it wasn't a surprise when Streak finally heaved his final breaths and died after a long, and prosperous life. Timber was completely heart broken and torn up about it, and it looked as though nothing would tear her away from mourning her life away, until she was presented with her son's egg to take care of. Silverdust and his mate were both promoted to be elites, and didn't have the time to take care of the egg themselves.
With a new purpose in life, she raised the young ghost while his parents were gone, mission after mission, until he grew up and carried the family tradition by becoming a hunter. With nobody to take care of anymore, and still feeling like she has quite a few years before her time nears to reunite with Streak, she came out of retirement and settled back to the Minders enclave to work her task once more.
Territory: She lives in the Minder's enclave. Mate: Deceased Companions: None Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Donna the Vixen Name: GreyMist Nicknames: Grey, Mist Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 10/2 Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: Grey is a very loving Sentinel with a soft spot for the tiny fluffs of their kind. Nothing fills his heart with more joy than having an egg he tenderly nested on hatch into a little fluff. The Wildtype is not so easily swayed as some of the other minders and can be stern with even the most precious of fledglings. However, even the naughtiest of the group will be fiercely defended by this male should anything threaten. Simply put, he's that dad you wish you grew up with, who just hasn't had any kids of his own to solidify his persona. History: Grey was thankfully born into a small Wildtype clutch. His mother was a proud Hunter and his father was a Scout. Grey was especially close to his father, spending countless hours learning from him and admiring the work he did. Sadly, his father flew away into the great above one day and never returned. All that was found were a few feathers that had drifted down through the canopy. Grey was heartbroken. He'd always known his fathers work was dangerous, but he'd almost believed his father to be invincible. He'd always come back before! And Grey couldn't imagine life without him. The widow was also disheartened and retired as a Hunter to become a Watcher, as though hoping her mate would return one day. Grey coped with his grief in a different manner. So hurt at having lost his father, his heart went out to the small fluffs his mother had fed and his father watched over from above. He'd known some of them had lost family, orphaned in worse ways than he cared to think about. So Grey took after his father's example in parenthood and declared himself a Minder, to raise the lonely fluffs just as his father had raised him - with a kind, firm wing. Territory: Grey resides in a beech tree near the minder's enclave. Mate: None Companions: Whisper Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Bluekoinu Name: Tynder Nicknames: none Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: 03/14 Type: Flame Task: Minder Personality: Tynder is Brushfyre’s anchor, calm and collected. She is very rational. Being from such a well-esteemed bloodline she takes great pride in her feathers and finds it appalling that other sentinels like to cover their feathers with dyes. She feels it is much more practical to wear jewelry that flatters her plumage but does not cover it up. Tynder can be stubborn, especially when it comes to her opinions, and takes etiquette very seriously. She makes sure any little ones in her care get the best education in how a Sentinel should act. She may be strict but she is also kindly and can show extreme patience; especially when it comes to her headstrong mate. Tynder shares Brushfyre’s views in regards to pure bloodlines, and keeps an eye out for any young Sentinel from a promising or prestigious bloodline. History: Brushfyre and Tynder didn’t always live in the deep woods area. They had previously lived much further away, but a large fire has driven them to join the other Sentinels, or so they say. She gets very flustered when asked about the incident so it's better just to avoid the topic all together. Territory: Brushfyre and Tynder live as close to the center of the forest as they possibly can, regarding other Sentinels as beneath them and their territory as the best. Mate: Brushfyre Companions: Yes Certificate:

Part II – Companions
Name: Crimson Species: Chirop Age: Adolescent Speech Ability: 2 Intelligence: 4 Skill: Crimson assists Tynder in caring for the young sentinels. As well Tynder will often send her on errands. Highly valued by her mistress, any sentinel would be foolish to lay a talon on this companion.

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Wildfyre Phoenix Name: Nightflame Nicknames: Night Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: October 31 Type: Shadow Task: Minder Personality: Outwardly soft-spoken and gentle, she dislikes arguments and will do what she can to avoid or solve them. Although, it seems that occasionally she doesn't think before she speaks. Night is quite shy in new situations and would prefer to observe rather than introduce herself. Due to this, she spends almost all of her free time, if she manages to get any, in the enclave. Usually after getting comfortable in a new setting she is more likely to open up. Despite her first-impression of coldness to any non-Minders or chicks due to her quiet self, she is very friendly and willing to help anyone who asks, as long as it will not bring any physical harm to anyone. She is loyal and protective of those she cares for and will jump to their aid despite the cost of her actions, especially when it comes to her small charges. If anything messes with a chick or fledgling she is minding they will be at the very bad end of a very enraged Sentinel. Her patience is nearly endless and she will actually willingly settle down and listen to someone talk or have a conversation with someone until they actually run out of things to say. She's the type you can come to when you have a problem and just rant it at her and she'd patiently wait until you were done (and then help you in any way she could if needed). This helps greatly with her task in dealing with small hatchlings and fledglings, who can be quite irritating at times. Hatchlings constantly needing to be fed and fledglings--now mobile--sticking their beak into everything don't seem to bother her one bit, nor dampen her almost constant cheerful mood. Nightflame is almost always cheerful and kind. As long as nothing endangers a hatchling she will happily go about her business as a Minder, even if she is exhausted. "The hatchling comes first!" is definitely her motto. History: No one really knows much about Nightflame. If asked, she'll say she had a mother and a father who loved her very much, but have now succumbed to their ancient age. As soon as she was old enough, she hopped undecided through several tasks, finally deciding to be a caretaker of the next generation of Sentinels. Territory: Like most Minders, Nightflame spends almost all of her time in the enclave tending to the next generation of Sentinels. Mate: None Companions: No Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: DemeterJade Name: Barkfeather Nicknames: Barky Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Adult Hatch Date: Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: Soft spoken and Shy History: Barkfeather's mother was a hunter so never had time for her egg or hatchling, so Barkfeather was one of the eggs that was passed from minder to minder. This meant that she was never without playmates after hatching but also left her wondering why they seemed to have a stronger bond with one particular female whereas she wasn't far from calling every female "Mother". As she grew older, she understood why this was and decided that she wanted to give back to the community what she had gotten out of it, thus she became a minder. Her first companion, a mus called Tiny, was a creature she was given while still a fledgling. Since it was a bit too big to eat, she befriended it and he has since become a great help to her with minding eggs and hatchlings. Player: Buffy Name: Oakley Nicknames: Spaz Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Young Adult Hatch Date: 9/9/?? Type: Deep Woods Task: Minder Personality: Oakley has a bit of a troubled mind, in that he is considered quite quirky. His attention span is short, and he remembers almost nothing of what he's done the days before. He likes to believe he can do things that he cannot. Such as make a basket without a lick of training. He will usually be heard saying 'He's Late.' He's a kind soul though, if only others could see past his odd exterior. He does like to be alone, and very rarely will have company, unless its an egg of which he has designated as his. History: Oakley doesnt have much history. He doesn't remember his parents, though the others around him have told him he was raised by a Minder himself, and not his actual parents. It is unknown as to what makes Oakley the way he is.. He too, became a Minder, to honor the story, of his own Minder of which he has no memory. Territory: Deep Woods Mate: None Companions: Azu Certificate:

Part I – The Sentinel
Player: Aurrie Beaues Name: Feverfew Nicknames: Fever, Fe' Species: Sentinel of Noctua Age: Young Adult Hatch Date: 22-02-000? Type: Wildtype Task: Minder Personality: He has always been known for his cheery disposition, at least around normal types, and was considered to be a well mannered and well behaved fledgling. He was raised as his parents were before him, to despise those of mixed type lineage, and has always behaved accordingly. While he was happy enough to spend time with most types, he avoided aberrants like the plague.
This changed quickly when he took his task as a Minder. He didn't take into consideration that there would be aberrant fluffs to mind, too. He turned his first aberrant down, but has taken on a few since then and is slowly starting to recognize aberrants as sentinels, though he still avoids adults. Just as he is starting to pity the aberrants, he is becoming slightly more spiteful towards their parents. History: Feverfew was born and raised to a long line of typist Wildtypes that take a vast amount of pride in their taint free lineage, but what self respecting family wouldn't do that? Fe' grew up under the wings of both his parents and grew to think and act as they did, until he aged a little. His fledglinghood was nothing out of the ordinary and he was never wanting for anything. He was a boisterous, clumsy, but pleasant fellow, and much of this still resides with him, tonight.
He was always a soft spirit and eager to chatter away with any sentinel not considered an aberrant and found his calling with hatchlings and fledglings. He took on the task of Minder and has been happy thus far. He makes his residence at the Minder's Enclave and is always ready to take a fluff in need. His wings are still young and he often volunteers to carry the little ones that need moving and take trips out to the food platform. His folks have been pressuring him to settle down with a nice Wildtype girl, but he has yet to find the right female. Territory: Feverfew resides in the Minder's Enclave in Deep Woods. He's always ready to rest his bum on an egg and to feed a fluff or two. Mate: None Companions: None Certificate:
