"Haha hope you've never fallen too far." He responded looking at her wings.

"Nice to meet you; I'm Kiyoko." The purple-eyed girl answered, glad that it tuned out well. "Don't worry about it; I've been nervous lately as well. I've never been here before either, or any boarding school place in general. So I'll probably learn alot in the next few weeks." She answered as she sat down on her bed. At least her roommate seemed nice; a good omen for the year, hopefully.

Laura looked down and grinned; the adorable miscivious penguin had returned again for another year. "Aw, hello Flash! Nice to see you again." she answered, then patted the little one's head. She looked up and saw that Kyo had entered the room. "Kyo! It's nice to see you well also." she replied, as the penguin began to run around the room. "For a moment, I thought he was hiding from you; a game of hide and seek, so to speak." she said with a small laugh. "So, how was your summer?"

"I'm not sure. If there was, it would probably be near whever the announcements and event dates are listed." Kiyoko answered, remembering that she hadn't eaten since last night, and it was already afternoon. Yet, her stomach, although empty, had yet to give out an angry cry. She forgot these petty troubles momentarly as she watched the kitty being moved to the laptop. "Interesting......oh, me? Well, mine is a bit more obvious." And with that, she closed her eyes and concentrated; two white gloriously bright wings emerged from her back, about medium size. She reopened her eyes; now she looked inhuman, due to the color of her eyes and hair, and now with wings. "It's harder to hide them sometimes, especially in a public school. That's one of the reasons that I decided to come here." she added.

If it wasn't for the fact she had been working here longer since anyone, and that she was use to Kyo and Flash's antics by now, she'd probably have passed out or something. Beliving that he really broke his fingers or something. But one had to admit, it was all rather amusing. She walked over and looked at his hands, her touch gentle. "You'll be fine. Just don't let him do that again, for the sake of your hands, and for the sake of the school board getting on my case, those idiots..." she replied with a chuckle, knowing full well that the school board didn't really like funding this "freak show" school (as they had put it at the beginning), so the less they needed from them, the better. They did pretty well getting more than enough funds through raffles, games, and other things of that nature. But it was still easier to be careful.

Kirai dropped the orange and stared at the wings. "Amazing. beutiful." Kirai pciekd the orange back up and took another bite. "like an angel. So this school is supposed to have other people with powers li,ke us? Hmm, kinda strange that it hasnt caught any media attention. I mean, ive gotten death threats just because I can move air. I'd hate to think what others like you with more obvious things get. Hehe. kinda like a book I read. The government made a school for exstrordinary kids, then tryed to use them in war." Kirai finished off the orange and took another one out og his bsg. "Want one?"

Kiyoko blushed for a moment; other than her best friend and what she considered family, no one had ever told her that, especially not a stranger. She could hear as Isabel made some sort of strange noise; probably cat laughter. She forced the color away quickly as she spoke. "Yeah, I've had my fair amount of anger with my old elementary school principal, before I moved near here; long story there." she said, then noticed his earlier question. Was he reading her mind, or was it just an act of kindness? Either way, it was wonderful timing on his part, she had to admit. "Sure; thanks so much!" she said, as she took the extra orange from his outstrecthed hand. She peeled it and took a bite into it hungerly.

"Sorry; I must look so strange. I haven't eaten since yesterday evening." she said as after swallowing, happy that her stomach was starting to feel improved. "That must be awful, with the death threats and such. It stinks that those can't be reported for people like us." she shrugged. "Well, at least we shouldn't have to worry about bullying and such here; that'll be a nice change for us all, I think."

Laura watched in silence for a moment as she saw how Kyo's words proved true; apparently, the penguin had far more power between the two. It was strange, sad, and funny at the same time, sorta like those weird movies the students loved to watch these days. "Lunch would be wonderful. Good luck to you as well!" she called down the hall, as the duo finally went around the corner and out of sight. She grinned, then returned to cleaning up the room.
