I just got this book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility - it's really great in how it helps you learn exactly when you're fertile, when you ovulate, whether you have a short luteal phase (which makes it hard to conceive and/or keep the baby) - it also talks about different things to help with conception, and it talks about what to do if your v****a/uterus is too acidic or alkaline for the sperm to make it all the way to the fallopian tubes. Very useful for me - Next month is when we're going to try for Walter, and since I've been charting for the last few months, I think we should be able to conceive the first month we try.

*shrugs* I grew up on soybean products in my Chinese household and never had any problems with it.
If hubby reenlists, I'm going off of the pill after the R&R so we can try when he gets back. Here's hoping our plans work out in the next year.

Thanks for the articles, I'll give them a look over later.
^_~ Hey, baby for re-enlistment isn't a bad trade off.
We'll find out next week if we'll be trying for a fourth month here. I'm trying not to get my hopes up and get myself psyched out. Every time I have what could be a symptom it's so hard not to do though.

Neko girl Manda ^_~ Hey, baby for re-enlistment isn't a bad trade off. AHAHA Because of that statement I don't know why I get this picture of like people who get cats instead of lives and Luna hoarding babies to keep her company. I just do. And on that note did we ALL buy the new long hair or WHAT?

LOL! New long hairdo here too.
We're sorta trying to concieve as well, and I've started paying more attention to the things that might be interefering. We've been 'trying' (enjoying ourselves, is a better description of what we do) since Feb and nothing's happened.. so I've started wondering and kinda worrying.

Well, this time since it'll be planned, I don't want to depend on government assistance even though we will qualify. I just don't feel right about it, I figure I would be mad if when Logan I couldn't get it because someone purposely got pregnant and took my slot.
I'm going off my birth control after this months, should I continue for another couple of months on the BC or go ahead and get off? We don't plan on doing any charting or any of that, just the regular old way to start off and see how things go.
Do regular womens vitamins have the right amount of folic acid?

I take a regular woman's vit and a prenatal one each day, and my OB still increased my folic acid by an extra 1000g. Apparently it takes time to build up a good reserve. I'm not sure if there's an upper limit, but if you don't intend to go onto a prenatal vit when you start TTC I'd definately up your folic acid.

Another thread that should be on page one....
And in about a week we'll know if we're going into month five of TTC. gonk I just don't understand why it's so easy to accidentally get pregnant but when you're trying it can be so difficult.

Luna, go for OTC Prenatal Vitamins. They aren't "Pharmacy Grade" but if you're going to buy an OTC go for one geared toward prenatal. I know the ones I bought (while TTC) have way more folic acid than the regular vitamins I was taking.
And Manda, why not go on Folic Acid or an OTC Prenatal as well. I'm not suggesting it's a cure all for all possible infertility issues with ALL people but I do know a few people who got pregnant shortly after upping their Folic Acid. It just sorta signals to the body that it needs to grow something.

Well - this is month one of TTC, and I don't know if it's just psychological or not, but the last couple days I've been feeling really miserable, and the last time I felt like this was just before we found out I was pregnant with Walter.
I also just found out my step-sister is TTC, so we may get to be pregnant together - that would be so fun!
Also, those with long hair - don't attempt to change your clothes right now, or else your avatar will get corrupted and you'll have to get an older hairstyle. All the newest haircuts are broken. sad

Well, I know I read that the average TTC couple has a 25% of conceiving any given month, so it is something hard. I'm really worried that when the time comes for us to TTC, it's going to be harder even though the odds are more in our favor this time.
I'm going to finish up this pack of BC and then I'm going to go off of them. I know my hubby said he doesn't want to do that charting stuff, but I figure, he's not here, I'll do it myself, as long as it's easy to do!
