"To the gardens it is!!" Renee chimed, and darted out the door, almost running into a wall, but this time she managed to stop herself. She turned back to her friends, waiting for them to follow.
"I guess I should slow down, huh?" she chuckled nervously, "You still have the letter, right?" she asked, wanting to make sure she hadn't misplaced it.

"Yes I do," Cirdan open his bag and pulled it out to prove it, then stowed it once again, " And do be careful, knocking yourself silly again, wouldn't go for you. And be careful not to... Oh great..."
"Wow, your fast! I bet I'm faster! Eh... Whats that look for Cirdan, all I wanna do is race her!" Mana visble tried to shrink under Cirdans gaze, "You can't be mad at me if she agrees, right miss? Wanna race, its just to the gardens, well?"
"Mana... Remember the last time... Forget it, he's not even listening to me." Cirdan sighed and shook his head, remembering the damage Mana caused in his last little race. Hopefully there won't be and priceless vases along the little demons trajectory. He always seems to knock those kinda things over.

"A race? Sounds like fun!!" Renee cheered, completely forgetting the face that she had almost run into a wall a moment ago. A small frown came to her face, "But please don't call me miss, it sounds...oh...I can't think of the word for it," she made a little face, and then it quickly turned to a grin again, "I'm Renee, who are you?"

Artemis walked on until she came upon Renee and some others, "hello," she said, making a respectful pixie gesture, "I am Artemis, daughter of no one, and who might you be?"

"Renee? Pretty name..." Mana faced Cirdan and suck out his tongue, "Ha, she agreed!"
Turning back to face Renee, Mana quickly looked about the room and noted a gap between the carpeting. "My name is Mana, and Lets use that gap there as our starting line. And... You! You announce when to start, just count down from three okay!"
Man vigourously pointed at Luna, "And remember, to win, its the first one to the Fountain of Wishes, in the center of the gardens. Okay? Okay?"
Cirdan shook his head, and wondered if Mana knew what he was asking Renee to do. The Fountain of Wishes is pretty far into the gardens, and it is also on the edge of the castle grounds. Everything beyond that, is wilderness. That and the fountain is hard to find... "Look, pick an easier end point will you Mana? Mana! Oh I give up. Luna, Megumi, make sure to stick with me. I know my way around, and Renee wil lbe a bit busy to guide."

Renee was about to agree, even though she wasn't sure where this fountain was (she was rarely outside after all), but she was too excited to realize that. Besides, she could always follow him, and then speed ahead when they got there. However, she saw Artemis, and smiled.
"I'm Renee," she then gestured to her companions, "This is Luna, Megumi, Cirdan, and Mana. We're going to race! You want to watch?" she asked hopefully as she hovered over the starting line.

Luna chuckled at Mana and Renee and then said, "Alright, on your mark, get set...."
Megumi abruptly interrupted her, "Wait! I want to race! I want to!" He ran over and stood beside the place where Renee and Mana were hovering overhead.
"Megumi, surely you can not run as fast as a pixie can fly..."
"Then I shall win 3rd place!" He said excitedly. "Come one, come on!"
Luna grinned. Leave it to Megumi to be optimistic. "Alright! On your mark, get set....GO!!!!"
After the three of them took off, still grinning from all the excitement, she turned to artemis, "Hello! I'm Luna! It's nice to meet you!"

In a blink, Mana was off, with a faint shout of glee. Cirdan noted that Renee might be faster, but was holding back, and well Megumi. He was dong surprisingly well, but even with his valiance... He would easily fall behind.
"It's a pleasue to meet you Artemis, but if Luna and I don't follow after, Megumi, Mana, and Renee might end up gettign lost. Even I don't know where that suppsoed fountain is, but I know Mana isn't good with directions. Coem on Luna, I'm faster on foot."
Bending down, Cirdan offered to carry Luna. He looked anxious as soon as the group of racers fell out of view, and he obviously wanted to be sure nothing would go wrong.

Renee kept pace with Mana without too much difficulty. She laughed delightly as they sped along, and kept her eyes open for the fountain, wherever it was. She glanced behind her for a moment to see Megumi not terribly far back, with the others following him.

Artemis stood back and watched the race, she wasn't used to these things but it was still quite fun nevertheless. HEr eyes followed the pixies as they sped toward the finish line, she didn't cheer for any of them because she didn't know them so she just stood back, eyes on the blurs that were the pixies.

"Carry me? Uh.." Luna didn't like the idea of someone having to walk for her. "I'm sure I can keep up." She started trodding behind him, then stopped and turned to Artemis, "Are you coming with us?"

Artemis shrugged, "I suppose so, here," she handed her a ball she had made of water, "a gift, it is my custom to give gifts to those I think I can trust." She took a step forward to hand Luna the ball, it was small, but beautiful and sturdy.

Mana laughed with the joy of the race. He found himself twisting and turning, and tumbling in mid-air. Each of these manuevers brought him dangerously close to many breakable items, or between someones legs. As his excitement grew, so did his daring. But with each flourish, he loses some of his lead. But he doesn't seem to care at this point, but then his attitude changed. He was about to come to the exit to the gardens, and he simply flys stright, purely trying his all at this point.

Renee watched Mana's stunts curiously, wondering what he could be doing. She followed him at a reasonable distance, and then he bolted. She gasped slightly in surprise, and smirked, knowing the race was really on now. She started flying faster. Hoping she had enough endurance for this. She wasn't sure where Megumi was by now.

Megumi was far behind now and he was becoming short of breath. A beautiful butterfly fluttered past and caught Megumi's attention. It's wings glittered like snow on a beautiful moon lit day. He stopped and watched it for a moment, then remembered the pendant in his pocket. He wanted to show it to Luna. He turned around and started running toward Luna, Cirdan, and Artemis. His excitement out weighed his tiredness, and he dashed as fast as his little legs could carry him.
Luna stared at the round ball in front of her. She had seen some of the elves in her village make something similar to it, but she had never seen one like this, or this up close! She took the ball from Artemis and admired it. She didn't know what to say. "Thank you! It's beautiful! Um...I'm sorry I don't have anything to give you in return."
Luna saw Megumi dashing full speed toward them. She shook her head and laughed, "What is that kid up to now?"
