GERMAN.

It just may be a perfectly good language, but I don't like it. I blame the old tapes in history class last year for my intense dislike. It sounds... undefined? Choppy?

Yes, I agree, German is a very ugly language...well it can be. Not always. But that's exactly why I love it so much. It's so fun. xd

German sounds pretty harsh, but I still think it's pretty interesting. =]

French, it really sounds horrible. Whenever I hear French it reminds me of a little kid thats whining in order to get something from his mother.

This topic is ridiculous.
It's insulting for the people speaking this language.

Actually, I do believe that some local variants of Spanish sound terrible. Especially Peruvian and the Spanish they speak at Mexico City and the central states. The more "popular" dialect sounds trashy to no end, and the "preppy" dialect sounds more stupid than if you were a valley girl. I can bash them because I'm from Guadalajara, and the Spanish we speak here sounds more hayseed-ish but at least it doesn't sounds trashy and uncultured. confused

Oh, and Finnish makes you sound like a turkey. It's, I dunno... really, really weird...

I don't like how Russian sounds, but I love their alphabet.

I don't like English at all and I'm fluent with it.

And I despise French. I don't like how it's written, spoken, nothing. Though, I do admire whoever can actually speak it fluently.

Though I would love to learn, I find it generally unattractive.

spanish: mostly because its really flashy and not to the point
Arabic: because all of the hacking you have to do too speak it ruins the singing voice.

I always wonder what English and German sound like to foreign ears.

For me it really depends on who's speaking it. A lot of people I know love Japanese and think Mandarin is harsh, but I think this is because of their exposure to the languages. The only Japanese they're used to is the kind through Jpop and anime and such, and the only Mandarin they're used to is the yelling of the Chinese kids at my school.

I personally don't like the sound of Mexican Spanish that much, but other dialects of Spanish can sound quite pretty. I think Mandarin can be really pretty, but it sounds really harsh when overly loud or angry. I really don't like the sound of Cantonese or Vietnamese that much. D;

I actually really like the sound of German. One of the "stereotypes" I hear is that French is really pretty-sounding and German is really ugly-sounding, but I think they can both sound rather nice and even similar.
