lotusvoid MegaTherion777 lotusvoid MegaTherion777 Gravechylde How can you do that when her kelpie's magic is stronger than your's? rolleyes a kelpie's magic does not involve being impervious to vampire bites. @ lo-lo - but vampires must always obey the call of their master... some kinda telepathy thing. read dracula, you'll see. and if that's the case, then YOUR kelpie becomes MINE uuum. only in like... one fiction novel, which changed how people see vamps. in most of history, vamps have never had that kind of connection. hell... most of them weren't even sentient !!!!!!! what are you talking about? ever since vampires have been involved in novels and movies they've had hypnotic powers. There was a vapire myth in every early culture... (before tv, ya know?) and virtually none of them had those powers, or even sentience! bish. I win actually the slavic vampire was the only one to lack sentience. many of the early legends - including african, greek, south american, and asian - included hypnosis and other superhuman powers. some of the legends even treated vampires as godlike. however, here in the west we are most familiar with the eastern european vampires, so these ideas of sentience and power didnt really return until john polidori published "the vampyre," where sentience first appeared. other, stranger powers such as hypnosis were brought back in bram stoker's dracula. many of these made it into film, along with some new stuff - the original vampire, in many cultures, could walk about in daylight and resume a normal life, making it even harder to detect. hollywood is the first widespread use of sunlight to kill vampires.
