((edited for clarity on what the Reba is))

"Your Majesty," Andora said, apprehension etched across her face. Beate was definately pleased, waiting for Thorik. Everything was going smoothly, she had no need to go with plan B. Waiting to hear back from the Michael, she strapped herself into the seat in the Pod, when Andora continued speaking.

"Your Majesty?"

"Yes, Andora."

"A large ship is making about our bow, but not to shoot us down."

"Who is it Andora?"

"Ahh..." Andora twitched her fingers in the air and conjured an instrument, seeing at first outside the pod, and then outside the ship. "It has an Olympian call sign, it's a shock-and-boarder."

"A paralyzer?"

"A paralyzer, Your Majesty."

hmm... Beate thought, could it be, my cousin Pandora?

"Very well then, Plan B. Andora move us to a proper escape pod bay and get us immediately to the Michael. It looks like we'll have to go with Plan B." The walls of the escape pod that Andora created melted away and the two were now at the Helm. The other ship was visible outside and the pilot was shivering and sweating profusely. Beate swung the Priscilla and it switched it to its gunform.

"Ensign, release the Reba." Beate's voice was cold and hard, and the Pilot instantly broke the glass In Case of Emergency box, and hit the red button. "Thank you, Ensign. What a pitty, that you should die from a shard of glass in your eye?"

Before the Ensign could react, Beate jumped up through the air and instantly shot a glass shard through the Ensign's eye with Priscilla. He died instantly, a bit a smile slinking across her face. The Reba, a small multi-capability intelligent machine shot through the air toward the other ship, and before it left, exploding a large sonic shock the bridge's skyview. Before Beate could be harmed, Andora formed a large metal screen around her.

"Is the other pod ready Andora?"

Andora nodded. As they walked through the cabin toward the escape pod, and walked into it's door, Andora spoke, but with a voice she only used at certain times. "Bebe..." Andora said, "Why did you kill him?"

"Dora, he could have lived and I needed to make sure that they thought me dead. It's crucial, at least for now, that my father think I'm dead. Panny would only try to use me as a political prisoner. Now contact the Michael!"

Andora's voice changed again, back to how it was before. "Yes, Your Majesty."

The apparatus on her wrist beeped. He was coming through. The Reba made for all glass around the coming ship, per Beate's previously perscribed orders, exploding each window into a million pieces with sonic booms. Beate was sure that, by the time they reached the Michael, the two ships would collide, and fall through the sky to the ground. "Pandora!" she screamed, "You lose again! Add that to your collection of miseries!"

As they flew toward the Michael, Beate clicked the Apparatus.

'My servant, Sir Thorik, are we on a secure channel?" She brought the Apparatus to her mouth. "How are you doing, my love"

Within moments, there were safe and secure in the bowels of the Michael.

"Orders commander?" The pilot asked looking back at his commanding officer.

Standing a head taller then anyone else on deck the General of the Olympian fleet cut a strong figure. He was aboard the largest ship in the fleet other then the Zeus. The craft General Sheperd commanded was appropriately named the Leviathan. It was five hundred meters in length and a hundred kilometers wide it was the second ship in the fleet that had been constructed in the air, again the Zeus being the first. The Leviathan was legendary, the craft having the latest technology added to it round the clock; this ship was built from the greatest minds of Olympus. However, none of that mattered if it was not under the control of someone that could master the hulking beast; General Joshuwan Sheperd was that man.

"This frontal assault is over-kill." He muttered, several others on the deck looked to him in fear; questioning a direct order from the Queen was treason.

"Ensign, crop in on that section there." Sheperd ordered, pointing to an edge of the battle field that seemed particularly tense.

A large view-screen came up and displayed to the General a mass of ships, most merc vessels firing upon a small cluster of Olympian ships. He sent orders down to the gunners of his craft and ship seemed to shudder as it's largest gun fired. The lead ship of the Merc group exploded in a shower of fire, the others turning fast in flight. One shot from the Leviathan had saved the lives of hundreds of men, that was the power the General of the Olympian armada held.

"We're going down, the air-orbs are fluxing out of control." Rannek responded to Rhin's panicked question.

The ship bucked and jostled like a wide horse, shaking it's passengers hard enough for their teeth to clatter. A siren began to sound in the cockpit and Tenkyuu let loose a howl of denial.

"Damn, Damn, come on baby hold together." He whispered to his beloved ship.

There was a flare from the base of the view port then a flash as one of the starboard air-ords burst into a glaring white light. After the initial flare the ship dipped fast to that side, half-falling half-flying through the Haze. The metal seemed to curl on the ship, anything and everything magikally operated, flared and burst or shut down all together. Finally the Haze began to clear and the ground below started to appear. The earth seemed to vanish fast and was replaced by an endless body of water; the southern ocean of lower earth. Rannek grabbed the controls and wrestled with them making the ship turn in the air aiming back for land, knowing that if they hit the water now they would be sunk, literally.

The White Hawk's base clipped the water and sent spray flying to either side. The ship then climbed a little into the sky and fell, skipping along the water like a giant stone. Rannek's hands flew across the dash yet again, hiting buttons and throwing switches. The Hawk's metal sails flew out to try and slow it, hatches and doorways on the wings and hull flew open; anything to slow the ship. The Hawk slowed and settled with a harsh thunk on the edge of a beach, listing to one side it provided the crew with a tilted view of a village not far from where the White Hawk had crash-landed.

"Well that was terrifying." Rannek commented, breaking the silence in the cockpit, "Hope your both alive 'cause I'm going to need help putting my girl back together."

Rosalie immediately came back out from the back of the house, and Zarina had stopped eating. "Was that just me, or did you hear a crash?" asked Zarina, eyes widened. "I don't know..." said Rosalie as she looked out the window. "I'll be right back." said Zarina as she opened the door and walked outside. "Zarina, please, be careful." cautioned Rosalie as Zarina headed out. She stroked a strand of hair behind her ear as she crossed the pier and backflipped off of it. When she landed on the soft, warm sand, she looked to the east of the beach coast. Not too far off, a ship was anchored onto the sand. "What the--" said Zarina, eyes widening.

"Damn it," Arilam swore, grinding his feet into the sand. He had been hoping to stick around with Rannek and use him as extra source of cover for when he got to Valhalla. He was hoping that with another merc, he'd become less conspicuous. But, things couldn't be avoided he supposed.

Arilam knew that if he really needed to, he could just take the Ninth Gate and continue on to Valhalla to finish the mission himself, but he just couldn't bring himself to leave without Rannek and Rhin. 'Damn my sense of honor and pride.'

Arilam took the Twin Fruit out of his pocket and set it in the sun on the beach. He was surprised at the flower's growth, nearly the size of his forearm now. He hadn't known that magik would speed up the growth of the plant. He figured it might have been less if his magik wasn't earth-based, but no use worrying about that now.

Striding back up to the port wing, Arilam shaped a mound of rock from the forest into a wrench and raised it to an open hatch a meter over his head, and commanded it to turn several loose bolts, while a large boulder rolled through the forest and balanced the wing as it was reattached.

Arilam shook in head in frustration and looked around, searching yet again for some sign of civilization where they could fix the White Hawk. As he turned, something caught his eye. A girl was emerging from a small house down the stretch of beach. 'How'd the hell did I miss that?'

Zarina walked towards the machine and saw that more than half of the...forest? was helping to fix it. "That's impossible...There's only one way somebody could control the forest trees and vines like that...if they were...nah, impossible!" said Zarina with a shake of her head.

As she approached the giant vessel, she noticed a boy standing on one part of it. "Umm....excuse me? What exactly are you doing here?" she asked cautiously.

Rannek's head sprung from a hatch on the top of the ship just as the young lady spoke. He seemed almost comical, soot on his face and goggles strapped to his head. He looked down at her for a moment as if it was obvious what they were doing. Realizing full well that this girl might not have ever seen an airship he shook his head and climbed out. His one arm was coated with metal, several tool heads jutted from his skin. He pulled the metal off like it was fabric and tucked it into a little ball before dropping it back into the ship.

"We're trying to fix my ship, and it seems I'm not the only one using the more potent air to multitask." Rannek announced looking over at a group of trees and rock supporting the loose wing.

Tenkyuu rushed fast to the broken wing, he grabbed hold of the wing and his arm sunk deep into the metal. The wing seemed to come alive as the metal pulled upon itself, reforming and aligning to it's proper place.

"Well that I'm pretty sure would have taken days to fix were not for the haze." Rannek commented standing straight and offering a nod of thanks to Arilam.

"I'm pretty sure that our planter is trying to adjust to harsh landing and the new surge of power. He is after all a teacher in training." His voice dripped with sarcasm in the final words.

Karawan knocked Rannek out of the way as he launched up and out of the ship. Dismay was not his favorite condition, but in the last three hours, it had seemed to become his entire being. In fact, he was running, screaming, at the top of his lungs, past the white hawk and straight for the girl.

Under normal circumstances, Karawan wasn't as revolting as he was sure to look, but the surge the Haze provided had turned his arm into a tree trunk, three large saplings were shooting out of his head (one out of his eye), and vines were slinking, all around the sand.

He reached the girl and stood before her, a monsterous menace, screaming: "What's happening to me!"

Zarina was slightly startled by his appearance. "I don't really know..but i believe since you're not used to the low level of mist here, you might have, umm, a sort of, 'allergic reaction', perhap?" she replied, looking him over. "I can take care of your arm, but the rest, well, i'd better bring you to Rosalie." she said as she stood before the water's edge. She lifted her arms and two medium streams of water lifted out. She guided them to the boy's arm and closed her eyes to concentrate. The water began to glow as she chanted, "Remove the beast of earthly magik. Combine the forces of water, set back this curse." When the glowing died down, the water returned to the ocean and the trunk had slowly incinerated and disappeared. "Now, for your head and your, umm, eye. Come with me." she said as she walked towards the village. "Rosalie!!! I need some help here!!" she yelled in direction of her village.

He stood behind her, unmoving and weary. He didn't want to leave the other two. He was so scared; literarlly everything had become foreign and unfriendly. Why would one lose their powers in an area less occupied with Haze? This goes against every theory I have learned. And her water usage, it's undocumented.

He turned back to see the other two, then turned, walked a few paces forward toward her. He touched a sappling on his head, as if somehow gaining control of the magic, trying to not apply theory, but to instead use the magic within. As if plucking it out, it broke off the top of his head, leaving no scar underneath.

"If you please, dear lady, answer me. Where are we? And who is Ro, Rosie? Can you bring her to me?"

As soon as the Reba was sent towards the Hades, Thorik shot The Hammer forward again, heading for the bow of the Leviathan. He gunned the engine, going at approximately 480 miles per hour, and buzzed the bridge and cockpit of the technological marvel. It's windows shook with the passing airbike, and he chuckled to himself. It would have been funny to see the look on their faces, but he was traveling far too fast. He zoomed back towards the Michael, watching as the escape pod launched from the Rhinemaiden.

"Yes, Bebe...I'm doing absolutely wonderful..." he replied to the voice in his ear. He saw the pod enter the belly bay of the Michael, and said, "I'll meet you on the bridge then, hmm?" He expertly dodged fire from some annoying Olympian Merc, and flew straight for the docking bay where the escape pod had disappeared from view. 'My lovely Beate...Our business here is not yet done, but we shall celebrate soon enough....'

"Her name is Rosalie. And, I understand if you are uncomfortable here. After all, I'm sure i'd feel the same on any of your planets. This is Lower Earth." she said as she continued walking towards the village.

A few minutes later, she came with an sagely looking woman beside her. "This is Rosalie. One of the best water mages i know." said Zarina as Rosalie moved her hands in a way that no one could imitate. Without speaking, she surrounded the boy in a coccoon of water and hardened it to ice. A few long moments had passed and the ice ball shattered while shards flew everywhere. When the shards had cleared and Rosalie put her hands down, the boy was healed and all of the roots had disappeared completely, as if never there. "Call if you need anything else, Zarina." said the old woman as she slowly walked back towards the village and went back inside the house.

"Forgive me, on her account, new comers. She is unweary towards strange travelers that stop by our planet." Said Zarina with a sigh.

Beate leapt from the opening pod out into the hanger of the Michael. Her boots clinked on the metalic surface of the bay, armed men all around her dropping to one knee in recognition of her royalty. She handed the Priscilla to Andora, and found the master sargeant immediately.

"MS..." she read his nametag, "Karlsrühe, are you aware who I am."

On one knee, he gazed up, about to speak.

"Do not look at me, commoner." She slapped him across the face. "This vessel is now under my command, and you are now apart of my retinue." She walked forward a bit, taking off her gloves. "You will take the nearest airpod to Odmil, near the rifthills, and collect Sir Agamond Des Lieuriens and the Rhinemaiden's armies. All of you—" she shouted, turning around.

"The Princess is dead. On Pain of Death, should you reveal my presence." She began walking to the elevator near the back of the hanger. "Andora, handle all of this. I am going to go to the throne room and change into something a little more...queenly. Please tell His Majesty's Captian of the Michael that this is my ship now..." she continued, leaning into Andora's ear, "and I expect him in my quarters. We have much to discuss."

The elevator doors opened and Beate stepped in, expecting to hear soon the shards of exploding Rhinemaiden and the sorrowful sirens signalling the death of a Valhallan Princess.
