NAME: Cyrith Winters
AGE: 22
GENDER: Male
PERSONALITY: Those that have come across him in their travels can say with certainty that his personality is conflicting in its manner. One minute he could be acting like a total airhead, the next he is deathly serious. It really depends on what situation he has been thrown into, or what he is currently feeling. If he was angry to begin with, he will start to throw insults at the person. If he was deliriously happy, he will smile and dance around a lot, even if he happens to be int he middle of a fight.
Yet, no matter what he acts like, everyone can tell that it is him, and he isn't crazy. No matter what mood he is in, he is always constant with four things: he is usually sarcastic, sometimes to the point of hurting the others feelings; he hates to get into any kind of conflict, or hurting another's feelings, even if he caused it with his sarcasm; he is very oblivious; and he is usually spoken as a trickster.
APPEARANCE: When he stands, and you look at him, people don't see anything special. He is only 5'11", with an angular face and green eyes that can either show extreme joy or rage. His hair is jet-black, and falls down his back, just under his shoulder blades in a braid. He isn't skinny, but rather lean from all the workouts he does, and he has muscle. His muscles are more defined, rather than bulgy like bodybuilders tend to make them, so people are more than likely to underestimate his strength.
He likes to wear loose clothing at all times, so that his movement isn't hampered. Usually consisting of a pair of black kung-fu pants, and a dark-green shirt, he wears a pair of durable tennis shoes. Black fingerless gloves, and a black trench coat all go to cover up the many scars that he suffered through his training, since his sensei didn't believe in always using wooden weapons. And he will usually be seen wearing a pair of sunglasses, even in the dark, but he has very good eyesight, so he can handle the extra darkness.
MEMORIA
HISTORY: Originally born under another name, Alistor, he grew up in a decent family. Dad worked as a company CEO, his mom stayed home to take care of the kids, which were him, an older brother, and a younger sister, who came when he was three years old. He was always treated kindly by kids, and adults just adored him. And he was very close to his sister, and as they grew up, they told each other everything. This lasted until they were about 13 and 10, respectively.
Somehow, rumors started to spread around that his dad was a rebel, set out to overthrow the government. Late one night, some of the extremist townspeople set fire to their house, and started to throw stuff in through the windows to keep them inside. Both Alistor and his sister managed to get out, and after a bit, so did everyone except his mom. His older brother ran back into the house to get her as well, but the house collapsed on both of them, killing them. The townspeople gathered on him and his remaining family. His dad tried to fight them off, but there were too many, and he was eventually murdered. His sister was next, and she had it even worse than his dad, considering she couldn't do anything to protect herself. The people then gathered on him, and beat him over the head.
When he later woke up, he found himself in an orphanage with no memories of his past, other than the face of a girl, that of his sister. He knew that he knew who the girl was, but couldn't remember anything about her. After a year in the orphanage, he had come up with a name for himself, that of Cyrith. When someone came to the orphanage to adopt him, it turned out to be an elderly couple that missed the joys of having children, since theirs had all died before them. Their last name was Winters, so Cyrith took it up, as a tribute to them taking him in, and as well, because he simply loved them. It also turned out that the husband was a martial artist, and did kendo as well. So, Cyrith trained in the Arts, and he became a black belt in both kendo and the family style, Shorin-Ryu karate. he then found his way out into the world at the age of 20, but still lives with his new parents.
POSITION: Police patrolman. He is the one that goes out at midnight to track down the rebels and gang members.
REASON: He knows that this is the perfect chance to talk with anyone about the things happening around him. Being well-versed in the underground workings, he knows that the only way to catch a "rat," is to literally throw yourself into the trap, and pose as one of them. And, it allows him the chance to help out people, rather than letting them be killed.
EXTERNUS
OTHER: He is very protective of anyone he likes, and will go berserk if anyone threatens them.

sorry about any errors that remain I have a learning difficulty so sometimes I just don't spot things and if the spell check doesn't see them either I'm a bit stuffed
(also I'm using UK spelling and grammar rules not US which might account for some of the problems)

Alright, I'm sorry, but I just died this week. I had to do my theater thing again (last time was tonight--until next year!), and I just pushed all this to the back burner. Yes, indeed, we are quite able to post now because the thread was moved back, so get on out there! smile
Unfortunately, I'm still kind of exhausted. Give me until the morning and I'll be fine, though. sweatdrop
Magnavar: I've read a whole half of your profile and it looks good so far. I'll give you a full review tomorrow, though; I'm very sorry it's taken so long for me to get to you, but I haven't forgotten!
Belfire: I actually prefer UK spellings, so I don't want anybody to worry about those differences; but thank you for trying your best at this. I appreciate it. I can also recognize UK grammar differences, so you ought to be fine there, too.

Right, it's only taken me how long to get around to this? Nevermind, I'm doing it now!
Magnavar: It's written well, but there's one thing that bothers me: In his personality, you describe him as being in fine mental health, but he has strong characteristics of bi-polarism. I'd suggest you either develop on that (which I would love to see, actually), or "even him out" somewhat; his personality seems strongly contradictory as is.
I would also suggest modifying his Position to something along the lines of an infiltrator or such, as what you describe (in addition to others parts of the profile, most notably the Reason) suggests that he doesn't do much in the way of patrolling. Also, is he part of CHOIR, or a government agent?

And I believe it bears repeating: I want all posts in the roleplay thread in font size 9 or 10. I've noticed that some of you did not do this, but I'm going to be a hard-a** about this sort of stuff in that thread. Please keep this in mind for the future!

Never once said he was in "fine mental health." All I said was he wasn't crazy. And his personality is specifically set up that way, just to create conflict with others interacting with him. I don't want a very predictable character.
He uses the patrolman as a front, which I should add, along with this. He "works" for the government, but goes after his own agenda. Turns out his foster family is actually his grandparents, but they didn't recognize him since he hadn't seen them in over five years at the time of the accident. He heard of the event, and wants to seek out those that caused his family pain. But neither him nor the grandparents know any of this. Fair? I will add this to the profile if you accept it.

Ah, I just assumed the "not crazy" part meant he was sound. Right, then that's fine.
And yes, add that part about his Position and Reason to the profile! Remember, unless another character knows your character down to his DNA sequence, you can hide whatever you want about him from other characters. How you hash out his family tree is up to you, so long as it's coherent, believable, and doesn't involve anyone very high in CHOIR; but I need to know how he stands in relation to the corporation.

Hey, I'd like to let you know that my posting may be slow and infrequent this month of November. College applications are here and I need to really work hard on them. I will be checking up on Gaia every day, but I don't think I'll be able to devote time to creating a post. I hope you understand~

I feel bad that I haven't posted in the actually RP thread yet. I'll try to get around to it, but I've got some current stressing problems to get through.
However, I give Morael permission to control my character if so desired. Since she is a hacker, feel free to throw her name around and such.
