'I don't know,' Evangeline replied, and pushed herself away from the wall. She paced up and down, deep in thought. She vaguely noticed Hawk awakening, but paid him no heed. 'Do you get...premonitions?'

'A pre-mon-ition,' Evangeline corrected, slowly enunciating each syllable. 'Slightly different from precognition. When my oh-so-wonderful precognition kicks in, I have a dream or a vision about something that'll happen in the future. Usually, the not-so-distant future. Premonition is a feeling that something bad is going to occur.'
Evangeline raised her pierced eyebrow at the sight of the girl hiding underneath the bench, and shook her head.

'You don't understand,' Evangeline softly told Lella and Nomana, as she continued to pace up and down. 'I don't get premonitions. I get precognitive visions, or dreams. I don't like having a feeling. If something's going to go wrong, my precognition tells me what. I like that. But just having a gut feeling? I know something's going to ******** up, and I don't know what, when, why or how. So I can't prepare for whatever the ******** is going to happen.'
