Yikes.
Now I recall another thing about my ideas. This one's centered around Azriel. I kid you not, that OC is my baby, and I've been developing her since middle school. (And I'm in college now. OwO;; )
Well, I think about year or so back, I found out about the character Dizzy from Guilty Gear. I've never even played any of the Guilty Gear games. I look up her info and watch some cutscenes of her. OH GOD. Eerily similar in some respects. The glaringly obvious being that Dizzy also has two other beings attached to her, also representing light and darkness, ALSO REPRESENTED BY MISMATCHED WINGS.
Coincidence can be funny and not so funny at the same time. gonk

@Azura: Weeeird~ Lol, I love how that happens sometimes...It's happened to me a couple of time, but that's usually because I have one specific character type I use for my OC's...^^;
Chase: HETALIA. Hetalia happened. I started making RP accounts on facebook and MSN and then...kind of forgot about Gaia. Well mostly. I always meant to come back but the I'd sign and be like: "Ugh...so...much...commercialism." I don't much like having to spend money to enjoy a lot of the non-thread based areas of Gaia. Because...IDK. I'm old-fashioned?

...But what's kinda not funny about it is that...well, like I said, Azriel is my baby. I want to get into the game designing field someday and really push her as a character while keeping intact all the abilities and traits I made her with (because they've been there since the beginning), but at this point, most likely it's going to scream copyright infringement and unoriginality. :<
...Curse these people, claiming the ideas before I could.

Heh heh, I know what you mean, Azura. That's what happened to my original Natoe Bashin. I created a vampire that lived off the blood of other vampires, then I watched Trinity Blood. Then I decided to just base him off of those vampires and restart a new character of my own. Starting to find a lot of things in him that I find everywhere else.

You really have to go out of your way to find originality nowadays.

*sighs too* :<
Yeah, I'm thinking of how to tweak them too. I could just scrap the thing Oscuro does with her wings entirely (but I'd keep it for RP ;P). And at least the circumstances for Azriel and Dizzy having their other beings are totally different.

OCs are hard to maintain. I've had a few that had to be 100% revamped. Like I had a character who controlled death. I've had him for YEARS. Then the show Pushing Daisies came out. Damn those daisies. -_-;; I had others, but I can't remember them - they were older than even that guy.
For the most part, I don't have to change much on my characters - the actual depth makes it easier to part with some of the other aspects, and they no longer seem important. But that could just be because I've had to scrap so many of them. xD
On an unrelated note, does anyone know if painkillers and antibiotics are supposed to make you feel lethargic and heavy?

It's so comforting to know I'm not alone.
...I dunno? o_o I think it varies. There's nothing on the label that says anything about it?

I haven't really noticed any other characters that match up with many of my OC's. Maybe 'cause they really aren't that odd... Either way, I haven't really had that problem before. No doubt I will eventually, but right now I'm good.
And I was wondering...what's lethargic mean?

Everyone has OCs that they will eventually see something similar elsewhere. It's just the way things go. Could be worse - as long as it's superficial, then there's no worries about copyright issues! Or something like that. And if you have documented evidence that yours came first - like a file on a computer dated 4 years before the similar character was released. Things like that.
Annnnd... lethargy is a lack of energy or fatigue. There was nothing on the bottle about that, just dizziness, which I always have, so this was just way weird. I'm better now, so I think it was the pain pills since I haven't taken them yet today and I feel mostly fine (except I hurt, but that may be better than the @_@ I did feel.) Thanks, though. Sorry if that was majorly random. xD

Yay, for epic randomness! Then it rains corn. Now that is random. biggrin It's always fun to create a new character. So, if ya find that your character has too many similarities to another, make a new one. smile
