Life is a virtue

Red released the second arrow, surging the energy back into her hand because of the impact the first arrow had. She had milliseconds to move, or she would be incinerated as well. After letting the second arrow loose towards the being, Red snapped her wings out wide and took flight, tucking her right wing in tight to do a swift barrel role to the side, while also swooping low in a soft of downward roll to avoid the fire. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw the second attack of her own shoot towards her as well. Clenching her teeth with the strain she quickly tucked in her other wing while rolling downward the other way, and fast straight towards the ground. The energy whizzed past, she could feel it graze past, sending a momentary lapse of pain shoot through her back, but ignored it and snapped her wings out wide again so send her upwards. This was going to be difficult, she could tell. The heat in the cavern was intensifying, and the room needed to brush of cool air. Stroking down hard with her wings Red shot straight up, towards the top of the cavern. If there even was one. Slowing, Red shot her hand out, jolting a blast of energy towards the upper walls, trying to find a thin patch that would lead outside so new air could be brought in. After several blasts, she whirled in a large circle, waiting for the dust and fragments of falling rock to clear to see if she had gotten any closer to the outside. All the while she kept an eye on Kushiel, waiting for what was to happen next.

So don't dwell on it.

Kai's eyes narrowed as he watched the shockwave of Kushiel rush beneath him, his diamond wings flapping slowly. He only had to worry about the fire and the lightning. He rotated his axe slightly so the flat surface was facing the demon. It started to glow and an orb of sand surrounded him. When the flames struck, the front half turned into glass, which he quickly shattered then surrounded himself with rock which caused the lightning to do nothing.

The rocks and sand fell to the ground as he flew in close to Kushiel. His axe was raised and as soon as he was within a few feet, he brought his weapon down, giving the creature a slash against its upper torso. Kai then shifted to defense and focused his energy on his wings, forcing them back rapidly so he was at a safe distance, hands clenching onto the handle again. Now he just had to wait to see what's going to happen...

Indeed, Light certainly was distracting Rogziel which gave Wyndom loads of time to set up different attacks or defenses without worry of being caught off guard by an attack from Rogziel. Wyndom would always keep a weary eye out through the clouds though in case Light or Raven needed help, or Rogziel suddenly noticed Wyndom and decided to 'toy' with something else for a change.

While Light and Raven fought the beast, Wyndom would not be wasting the precious time they were giving him. He would start to manipulate the vast amounts of electricity in the air, sending them into the kunai embedded into the ground closest to Wyndom. He would do so very slowly at first, making sure he could control the element fully, but as the seconds drew on the amount of electricity added to the kunai rapidly increased, and became a steady, powerful flow. Where was all this energy going to, though?
It would be channeled underground throughout the rest of the kunai, moving in a triangular pattern, before reaching the first kunai and then going around again in a slightly smaller triangle until it reached the middle, forming a solid wall of electricity. This happened relatively fast, and there was still loads of electricity being funneled into the kunai. This energy would overlap the first wall twice more, making it three times as thick where it would remain.
Next, Wyndom manipulated the electricity along the outermost edges, and caused it to shoot up from the ground, forming a 100 foot tall wall, which then closed overhead creating a triangular prism which encased the creature as well as the three fighters inside the kunai, effectively sealing them off from the outside. The lightning from the clouds would be attracted to the prism, and as it would strike it, the barrier would absorb the lightning, increasing its strength constantly.

With this, Wyndom would have formed a continually strengthening barrier to trap Rogziel, without using any energy of his own, since all he needed was given to him on a silver platter by Rogziel himself! Meanwhile, the clouds over Light, Raven, Rogziel, and Wyndom would continue to grow steadily, and darken into an almost gray color now.

A black and white world.

Blinded from emotion.

Like always, Grimm's mind drifted off to monologue all the useless crap he thought of whenever he was bored. He let out a small sigh as he stopped walking and sat in a small clearing of the forest.

Numb to any touch.

Robbed of any passion.

Deaf to any sound.

Why would a man like me even try to redeem myself. The gods have already chosen my fate. It's meaningless to try, and redemption means little to me. Soon I will make those who laughed at my pain pay and if I earn my reprieve in the process . . . Good.

If I don't. . .

Well, vengeance sometimes deserves a good sacrifice. At least this time, I'd die knowing no one was laughing at me anymore.

When I die, and if theres a heaven, I'm gonna b***h slap god, and force him to wear nothing but a thong, and walk straight up to Satan, and say "Do you like lucky charms? Cause I'm magically delicious!".

Then I'm gonna laugh, and Satan will laugh, and God will just die a little on the inside.

Zsafira stopped her little dance then walked they where nearing the next room (He's almost done with his profile finally.) "I doubt it will like us trying to take it anyway. Either that or the locals will likely get angry, Especially considering what the master will want to do with it, they will never get it back." She shrugged then walked up tot the door. She wasn't going to say she had her own plans with it. She could controll her needs to feed but she planned on getting a large, or rather the largest portion of this thing herself and then suppress her powers. She would then bide her time and whipe out the king absorbing his powers. Then she would be unstoppable. That ws nearly everything for her. She glanced at her scrutinous partner. "How shall we do this one?" She half asked him primarily she was asking herself.

He didn't answer her immediately, as he began to think of strategy himself. After a while he finaly came to a decision, but kept refining it in his head until she opened the door with a joly of electricity. "We smash them hard and fast. From the moment we appear to the moment we return with the spark we crush everything that decides to stand in our way," he said, and his Codex manifested itself as a sheathed broadsword majestically hanging by his side. He placed his hand on the hilt and struck a particularly gallant pose, as he stared off into the middle distance.

"We'll cover ourselves in blood and glory. Everything will end, and everything will die," he said in his most dramatic voice, once more making it clear that his earliest education had come from the dreams of thousands of different individuals.

The only surprising thing was that he hadn't managed to work in a bit about some sort of love... Wuv, twue wuv.... That wasn't going to be happening anytime soon.

Zsafira smiled and even laughed as she walked into the room,
"I lov ethe idea, that would also give us soo many souls to devour." She mused over the idea digesting it fully. She also knew however that that might be a folly move and cause them to die bitterly. Which she could not handle. She was the leader because she had great experience. She also enjoyed chaos in a manner most could not understand. She was neko yet almost drow like from time to time. "Wake up in here. Where is that lazy b*****d." She said without even looking around. She was merely joking around and hopefully he wasn't in one of his bad swings.

-[Rogziel, Angel of Wrath]-

User Image

Rogziel roared ferociously at the trio, a strong spiritual aura pulsating from the beast. The wall of electricity that encased Rogziel and the three fighters would react to the strong electromagnetic field Rogziel was emitting. Sporadically and without warning streams of electricity would shoot off from Rogziel's body and into the surrounding walls. It looked like one giant Tesla coil and the three fighters were in the center of it!

The colossal beast would then start to rise up on it's two hind legs, the atmosphere became lighter and the earth would begin to rumble. This divine and mighty creature would act blindly as chunks of earth and ruins started to float up and hover around the beast. The fighters would find themselves suspended in the air as their bodies felt weightless! If they didn't find a way to keep from floating away they'd surely be fried by a random stream of electricity!

Dust and dirt would swirl around Rogziel as a fierce storm manifested within the prison Wyndom had made. The clouds above were alive with highly potent energy, loud blasts of thunder now clapping as if the clouds themselves were spectating and cheering on the wrathful angel.

Rogziel's wings would steadily fold out as the beast arose. The three fighters needed to act swiftly.

-[Kushiel, the Punisher]-

User Image

Red would have discovered her actions were a waste. They were several miles underground. The only known exit was through the way they came.

Now Kushiel attempted to swat Kai away with it's two front arms, howling angrily as the hammer slashed it's torso. What looked like magma oozed from the wound until it was sealed shut again. The arrow Red fired would have the same effect. The two fighters' attacks didn't seem to be effecting Kushiel in a negative way! It's weakness was yet to be discovered but a clue to it's downfall had been revealed already.

Kushiel would grab a chunk of rock and mash it into it's mouth. After a moment it would and look towards Kai and spit out a ball of magma towards him. As for Red, Kushiel would then grab another chunk of rock and do the same. As it did so it's arm that was glowing gold would spark and pulsate with more energy. It looked as if it was charging...

(( For Nathaniel ))

After her retreat from Lahabiel's estate, Naya had began to delve further into the mystery of her missing companion. Her and Lahabiel had often worked together, he a fine smithy who sold armor and her a skilled enchanter who would bless his armors for the local warriors. However recently Lahabiel had gone missing. to her great concern the enchantress went out to find him. Instead of her friend she found a dark truth. A truth that unsettled her and had resulted in the death of five angels.

The darkness is bleeding into this realm. Slowly it will devour us all if it continues to go unnoticed.

Naya's thoughts echoed through her mind as she traveled to the outskirts of her hometown. The city that was always lively had an ominous aura hovering around it but no one seemed to notice. Perhaps it was because she had a deeper connection with the forces around her than her brethren. Regardless someone had to do something. Naya decided to find the source of this darkness. Perhaps then she could clean it from this holy realm.

And so she found herself standing before an abandoned gate of Heaven...

----

-[Lahabiel & the Enchantress]-

Now in ruins, an old gate lies amongst the grass and rocks of this land. Naya can feel a dark presence pulsating nearby but the fact puzzles her as the gateway is sealed...perhaps it was not sealed fully. If this was so Naya would have to bring a gatekeeper here and do just that.

But first a prayer. A prayer to protect the lands from any more influence of the dark ones.

"........"

A circle of light manifested on the ground around Naya as she prayed. The area within a 500 foot radius would suddenly glow and sparkle with white and blue energy. Hopefully this spell would combat the dark forces bleeding into the realm and give her time to find a gatekeeper.

"...Hm?"

For a moment she felt the presence of another? It was that feeling you'd get from just knowing another form of life was waiting on the other side of a door. But this couldn't be...but it just as well could be. Naya prepared herself for the worst. Her magical spear was brought up in her right hand and supported in her left...

Through the portal before Naya, stepped a magnificent angel clothed in white with hair and wings the color of midnight and eyes like the purest blue skies. Strapped tightly to his back were two swords, one with a black hilt, and the other blue.

Though his presence was usually stunning and powerful, it was now greatly dimmed and fadded with fatigue. his eyes held slight bags, his shoulders slumped and he appeared as though he was about to collaps from the strain of his travels.

He peered before himself to see a beautiful woman readied for a fight. though he noticed that she held no tainted aura about her but a pure one. this was greatly welcomed to the wiery angel and let himself relax slightly. but not so much he would collaps.

"lower your weapon enchantress. I will you no harm."

he tried to be forceful and clear with his words but he failed as they came out weak and thin.

"if my senses serve me correct. we are on the same side."

-[Lahabiel & the Enchantress]-

"You are..."

Naya dropped her hostility as she too realized the familiar divinity of the Celestials. She was also relieved that it was not an enemy or an unwelcomed guest. She had too many of those appear as of late.

"My name is Naya. Here, let me take you to a healer. You look like you've been through Hell..."

Perhaps quite literally? Naya looked this man up and down, concerned to how he appeared so run down. Was it related to the dark presence she was feeling?

Speaking of.

The field of energy over the ground started to pulsate as cracks in reality started to form behind the man before her. However this man came through a broken gate would confound her although she was far more concerned about the cracks left behind. A pitch black mist started to form and spread throughout the cracks, a dark entity attempting to penetrate the realm of the holy. Whatever this thing was it was struggling against the spell Naya had cast moments before.

"Come friend, this place is not safe."

She would not hesitate for the man to step forward as she twirled her staff above her head while shouting a prayer, "Angels and Spirits of the earth...reveal your divinity and lend me your power!"

Naya would stab her spear into the ground as four stone statues erected from the earth and surrounded the cracks of the portal. Each statue were headless, humanlike figures with cracked wings of stone. Each wing was arched back so that they connected with the statue next to it, effectively forming a prison for anything caught within.

"That should hold that off for a while. Come."
She ordered, fully unaware to who this man was.

With a quick jolt of speed he seemed to have appeared next to Naya as if teleported. He watched this display of considerable control of the elements and continued to leave the scene with her.

Running along side her, off of borrowed energy which continued to surpise him by its seemingly endless stores. But he knew sooner or later that this gift may indeed be worn out. so to save time he leapt high into the sky with a single bound and spread his wings, carrying himself at greater speeds, assuming that his companion could indeed give herself flight as well. as he stablized himself he looked down to await her joining him.

((sorry for the short posts. im still not too aware of everything thats occuring))

(( Check the History section below this thread. Otherwise I'm putting Heaven's members through a small plot of my own for various reasons. ))

-[Lahabiel & the Enchantress]-

"My, your fast."

There was little way Naya could attain the altitude that her new acquaintance had risen to. Instead she sat on the ground and placed her staff over her lap. Her legs crossed as she took in a deep breath while closing her eyes. A smaller circle of light manifested around her before a chunk of the earth broke free from the ground and started floating. Naya would have to be careful of how she was spending her energy from now on as she had already expended a considerable amount entrapping the dark aura and enchanting the surrounding land. But with this she would be able to travel over land faster than if she were on foot.

With her rock moving her forward Naya would open her eyes again to catch sight of the winged celestial. She watched him with an intent gaze...so many things were running through her mind that she almost couldn't focus on her arcane arts. For one, was this dark presence the cause of Lahabiel's disappearance? Surely it must be...that would also explain why she was attacked earlier..

Life is a virtue

Red screamed in frustration. This wasn't going well at all, and this ungodly cave was getting way hot. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a large boulder hurdling her way, and she quickly tucked in her left wing and dove out of its way. This time she had made distance from it, but she could feel the heat graze past her back like the electricity had done. She stole a glance to Kai, seeing he was doing as well as her. clenching her teeth, Red snapped open her left wing and shot towards the backside of the beast, looking for a weak spot or something that might help the odds of the fight turn towards their favor.

So magic or energy was simply absorbed into Kushiel, and arrows simple stuck to him. Blades would melt upon contact, and rocks turned into magma. This seemed like nothing could kill the beast, but she was doing everything she could to find a weakness. She flew around to the back side of the beast, her crimson eyes searchin for anything that would be a weakness. The chains were interesting, and she needed to think of something that would help her use them against him...

So don't dwell on it.

Kai groaned quietly as he turned his body into a cloud of sand, morphing it into a big circle so the flames would go right through it. He reformed on the ground, sweating profusely.
"You...Red...Any ideas?...It's made of fire...So water maybe?"
He wiped some sweat from his brow, grip tightening on his axe. His mind was racing as the heat was starting to get to him. He took note of the form of the beast and how there was one arm that was stationary, appearing as though it was gathering power.
The elf tilted his head to the side as he looked at Kushiel. There were chains surrounding him. Were the actually holding the creature together?
"Let's focus on the chains...They...might be his weakness."
Kai panted quietly as he felt his strength dwindling. The air was becoming stagnant and it just felt miserable.
He gathered some of his strength and went back into the air, eyes glowing faintly as he started to summon stone dragons around the creature. There were three in total, forming a triangle. The dragons were only six feet tall, but they would survive as long as Kai was alive. At once, the three stone dragons lunged towards Kushiel, their razor sharp claws scratching against the chains that were closest to them.
