Torment tiwtched as the chain darted back to him, his own magic flowing into it to further contribute to the mana generated thus far, the pool mostly depleted. With a flick the chain pulled back to wrap around his forarm several times, the blade tucked away neatly, though condensed. Flames raged around him as his tattered clothing shifted back to his more traditional casual attire. With a roar of flame and a beat of his two large wings he took to the air, a blazing inferno left in his wake. His goal was the house, he'd tear the Alcove to pieces, though not in a literal sense, to divine where it had taken them. Being the one who created the significant rift in the multiverse and forged the keys to it, that wouldn't be too hard.
It looked like they might not make those dinner reservations.

A graceful landing outside the house it would not be, a flurry of flame and pieces of a home shattered flying about as the fight was disrupted. Standing just inside the new doorway to the living room Tor stumbled and leaned against a wall, the two great wings extending behind him, but only to a degree. The left wing seemed complete, but the right lacked a great deal of its former span. It was no longer a part of him, gone.
As he stumbled down the hall Shar came up beside him, the shadows letting his form came into being, "It hurts, doesn't it?" He got a blade through the face, though it would do no harm. As the Phoenix Feather retracted he spoke again, "I'll stand by you, even so. She is ingrained in your mind, body, and soul, and in turn, myself." Torment nodded solemly as he stopped before the alcove, touching his hand to the pad on the floor as a surge of energy passed through him, linking him to the great rift. He'd glance through to the last location, draw forth strength to return his own and aid his Brother, before he vanished from sight.

The living room may have held an extra door, the surrounding floor a little creative decorating but that couldn't prevent the utopia that still existed in the master bedroom so long as both halves to the whole were present.
Hours later with the hospital visit tucked into another part of her mind, Kalie stood before a floor length mirror, Torment's shirt having been hurriedly returned to her shoulders. She seemed to hesitate at the buttons, her fingers lingering instead around the bandages still partially hidden from sight. She wouldn't meet the blue eyes that searched for her within the looking glass, rather her own cast down as the medical tape wound so tightly became loose and started to droop.

Torment had retreated to his closet once more, but not without a hint of reluctance. His mind was racing with thoughts of what had only been a single day to him. That mask...he couldn't explain it worth a damn, and wasn't sure if he fully wanted to. His mind leaped back and forth between the mask and his love that stood just beyond the doors across from hi, seperated by much more than a simple wooden construction.
It hadn't felt the same...more like when he was naught but a soul, but nowhere near as lacking. Hell, he hadn't even intended on returning home for more than a split second as the pad transfered them, but he had been able to play it off well enough. He had wanted to take them to Elysium once again, but lacked the ability. It had been hours, and despite the taxing events that had occured just beyond the doors upon which his eyes were set, he shouldn't be feeling as weak as he was.

Under the careful care of her fingers the unblemished skin would be revealed. Not a hint of her and Alex's struggle or the entrance of a slim capsule lined in a metallic medium. Lifting her eyes to the looking glass, the mirror wouldn't lie. Her side was bare and as fair as it's identical twin. Kalie was neither scared or marked.
Caressing what should have felt rough and broken to her fingertips, Kalie's eyes remain locked on the image before her in disbelief as she choked on her words. "T..Torment.. love.."

Tor glanced up to the door as the sound of his wife's voice filtered through, then back down at his nude form. No ammount of magic he seemed to be able to muster could force his wardrobe to clothe him by itself, so he resigned himself to doing it the old fassioned way. Slowly he rose, calling out to her, "Just a minute."
As odd as it may seem, without magic to aid him, Torment was at a loss as to where a majority of his clothing was stored aside from shirt and pants, which were hanging all around him. A few of the drawers nearby only held socks...in the range of millions. He couldn't help but wonder why in the hell he had so many socks. With another resigned sigh he grabbed a pair of generic cargo pants from one side, the pockets containing all spell components he'd need for the day by default. Slipping them on he was careful not to damage anything while zipping up. A shirt would be grabbed from a nearby hangar to be slipped on as he walked, but he wouldn't button it.
The door to the closet slowly opened as he stepped forth, the unbuttoned shirt billowing of its own accord as he moved, his quick pace making it dance around his sides, giving life to the pattern of a phoenix upon the back that matched the one etched into his back, though the one on the cloth seemed different, the firebird was weeping. His hair was a dissheveled mess, the two white wings lost within the ashen forest. He managed a weak smile as his eyes fell upon her, "Yes, my love?"

"I..ah.." Kalie frowned at her husband's disarray. Something was amiss, weather it was in his eyes or smile. There was a oddity she had never seen in her lover before. "What's wrong?"
The blues of her eyes only beheld him, leaving the truthful reflection from seconds before as a fluttering after thought. Torment's dress shirt would rustle as it closed over his wife's hips once more. Leaving the injury, or lack there of for another day.

Tor seemed confused for a brief moment before shaking his head, "Its nothing, couldn't find a pair of boxers is all, these pants aren't being kind." He tried to manage a better smile as he stepped forward to draw her into an embrace, "Now come on, tell me whats up."

Kalie succumbed to his pull quite easily, slipping into Torment's arms. Her own dropping to her sides in an effort to pull her shirt aside where the buttons had already been undone.
Kalie peered down, her brows crinkling at her perfect hips then looked back up. To most anyone else it probably would have seemed rather odd to see such a beautiful young women glance at her body with such confusion then look to her husband for an explanation. As if something was wrong with her feminine curves. "They're the same on both sides.."

Had his wings graced his form at that moment he would have likely pulled them around the pair, he enjoyed such seclusion, even if it offered no privacy in their own home. His confusion matched hers before she spoke, when he smiled and laughed a bit, "You really expected them to be drastically different?" He knew what she meant, but he still found it amusing, a bit of cheer he could use.

"No..But.." Kalie puffed her cheeks out and hhmpphed a sly smirk gracing her lips. Her hands lightly tripped down the remaining buttons, causing the sides to fall defeated from her shoulders as the sleeves slipped to her elbows. Exposing how cleanly she really had healed to him all at once.
"He didn't leave a mark?" Kalie looked to Tor questioningly. "Not even one?"

Torment let out a sigh as his smile faded, his hands trailing over her body to rest on the point where the bullet had made its exit. His hand did not remain idle, traling over it as if he were tracing were the breaks in the skin had been, obvious sadness in his eyes at remembering the sight, "It...it doesn't matter now. Its healed, and thats what matters."

Kalie leaned into the embrace he'd initiated before, her arms urging Tor to come closer while her head was sure to fall into the natural pillow his shoulder created. It hurt to see him look upon her so sadly, and the twinge that ached in her chest would do little to comfort.
"Sorry."

Torment held her close, hands rising up her back as he stiffled the tears that wanted to sneak their way out with the memories. His head fell slightly to rest against hers, "You don't have to be sorry...it was...unexpected, I know."

Lifting her head, Kalie tried to smile. Her lips trembling slightly at holding the happy expression. "..Can we give dinner another try?"
