Temporarily blinded by the flash, Jewels blinked the spots from her eyes and hissed a little.
"Wha? What'dImiss?" Somewhat distracted by the bright light in her sensitive eyes, Jewels had quite failed to hear what Iris had just said.

Ronan Aalto "Should... we go after her?" Motthew shrugged at Ronan. He looked ahead as the game started and grinned. "Its pretty cool to be able to watch the game and know the players." he glanced at Doriana and shrugged a shoulder, still smiling "At least i think so anyway."

Ronan nodded. "It does add a certain degree of excitement."
He winced as Dashner was tackled by a gargoyle. Ooo that looked like it hurt.
"Come on Dashner, get up!" he shouted, but his voice was drowned out by the cheers as Manny took possession of the ball and charged through the defence.
This really was exciting, far more exciting than watching on a tv or computer screen.

Draconia jumped up and cheered as Manny blew through the defense and scored Monster High's first touchdown. He yanked Dashner up and the two high-fived in the End Zone to celebrate.
Draconia looked at the scoreboard with trepidation....the score was 6 to 8, with the Quarry up by two. Coach Igor seemed unconcerned, and opted for the field goal attempt for an extra point.
Deuce Gorgon was up for the kick as the lines squared off. He was going for the kick, and-
*TWEET!*
Boos filled the arena as a foul flag was thrown by the skeleton referee on Monster High. He held up one bony hand.
"Flag on the play - Offsides, Monster High! The ball will immediately revert to Granite City."
There were more boos as Draconia sighed. It had been obvious who had been at fault....Chase Q wasn't even listening to the referee as he was scanning the bleachers instead. Coach Igor roared out a warning to Chase as the teams prepared for the next play.

Motthew smiled, patting Ronan's back "Yeah! You're getting in the spirit now." He laughed. The game seemed to have everyone in their toes and talons. Motthew sighed as he watched Chase, who seemed to be totally spaced out "Oi!" He yelled "Come on! Get your head in the game!"

Doran jumped up and down in his seat. "HEY! That wasn't a foul!" he said, his high voice scratching. Doriana looked at Motthew and Ronan and then back at her little brother, patting his back.

"What IS that Centaur doing?" He shook his head and watched anxiously as Granite City's Quarterback hurled the ball. It sailed across the pitch, both Monster High and Granite City players ready to pounce.

Timing really is everything, isn't it?
Chase snorted through his nose toward Matthew, sounding an awfully like his bluddy, Manny Taur. He turned and walked back into the Monster High's team formation, Coach Igor reading him the riot act all along the way...
"...and if you don't get that head of yours straightened out, I'm benching you Q!"
Chase's face flushed but even then he was scanning the bleachers, and saw his little sister, Whinnie, seated all the way down in the end field. And it was a lucky thing that Devlyn had taken this point in time to head fr the snack stand to get him and Whinnie some grub.
Satisfied (for now), Colt nodded to the coach and got in between Deuce who eyed him hard through his shades and Manny who shook his head with concern over what was going through Chase's mind.
Heath looked at Coach Igor with wide eyes and said, "Coach! You won't really bench Chase, will you!? There's not a rock head on that other team that can tackle him!"
Coah Igor turned around and barked at Heath, "Maybe so but he's not doing us a whole lot of good at the moment, is he?"
The whistle blew and one of the GC players heaved the football across the field with a heavy speed behind it, and it was caught by his teammate! His teammate then turned and started for his own goal when he found himself caught in between a charging Manny and Chase (who seemed temporarily at ease seeing Whinnie on her own)!
Ever see someone get tackled by a minotaur AND a centaur?
Yeah. It's not pretty.

Ooo that looked painful, even if the guy was made of stone.
Ronan winced a little and settled back into his seat as the whistle blew and the players jogged back to their starting positions.
"Are you looking forward to the dance?" He asked Mothew, struggling for small talk during the game's lull.

It didn't take long, the players huddled and the ball snapped to Clawd who handed off to Heath, who went for a forward pass just as a Gargoyle threw himself bodily upon him. The ball sailed high into the air...
...Monster High's own #83 leapt and caught the ball, somersaulting and landing lightly on his clawed feet.
Granite City were ready, they dove for him but Perry ducked, dodged and wove through the defence as best he could.
30 yards
20 yards.
The crowd howled as a Gargoyle broke from the others and charged.
Perry shouted something, and just in the nick of time passed the ball to fellow winged player Dashner Hawke before the Gargoyle ploughed into him and knocked the Peryton hard to the ground.

"Is there any particular reason why Chase is paying more attention to the stands than the game?" Glen's mom asked but all Glen could do was shrug and sigh. Of course he KNEW why, but didn't want his mom to know. He wanted her to only think good things of Chase! He then turned his head towards the end field. "Uh oh! This can't be good.""What is it?"Glen directed her attention towards the end field where Devlyn had returned to his seat beside Whinnie with an arm load of goodies to share. Glen quickly looked at his beastie. "Quick! Drakie! Let's go switch seats with them!"

Dashner caught the ball, grabbing the attention of the gargoyles. They focused on him, as he ran down the field, moving from left to right as the opposing team tried to tackle him...
'Foucus Dashner!' His mind rang, only ten yards. TEN YARDS. He reached the other end, in triumph. The crowd roared with excitement.
TOUCH DOWN!!!!
Dashner flapped his wings upward, doing a flip in mid air in happiness. He did it! He pumped a fist in the air as the crowd continue to buzz screaming "MONSTER HIGH MONSTER HIGH!"

Perry struggled to his feet, panting and grinned at Dashner, highfiving him as he jogged back toward the rest of the team.
"These Gargoyles... really pack a punch." He looked to the player who'd downed him. "Hey Brick, you gained weight since last time? Sheesh man."
The Gargoyle grunted something about working out and trudged back up the pitch.
"Funniest thing, he and I went to elementary together. I'm sure he's always had it in for me."

Motthew grinned as he watched the game progress. It was like an intense battle, each side fighting it's hardest to defend their school. "Haha! Take 'em down!" He cheered. He was so into the game, he didn't really hear Ronan at first. After a moment, he realized he was talking to him and smiled at him "The dance? Yeah! A real tombcoming dance ought to be a blast." He laughed.
