 H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________[Hawkpaw tried to take the little scene with Thor and the rabbit seriously, though he couldn't help but snicker. Somehow, seeing the massive tom so lost and confused, and aided by his own kit, seemed amusing. He longed to see his own father before. Knowing that his mother was an arrogant rogue who dumped him onto StormClan never provided much encouragement for the young tom, but he'd always hoped that his father might've been a kind-hearted loner, or simply an honorable rogue, at the very least. Seeing the bond between Thor and Thunderflight warmed his heart enough to forget about his own heritage.
Nonetheless, Hawkpaw heard Silverstar yowl the call for a Clan meeting. He stretched after having sunbathed for what seemed like a moon in an empty little spot a little ways away from the apprentices' den. He fluffed his pelt, feeling the warmth of the sun still caught in his hackles. He purred soflty, loving the season of greenleaf for its warmth. True, greenleaf was approaching, but droughts and several scorningly hot moons with it. Hawkpaw sighed, still happy to be finally out of the harsh season of leafbare.
The tabby tom gathered enough confidence to confront Moonpaw. He knew he should at least congratulate her. She was finally, after so many moons of waiting, the medicine cat apprentice. And he was happy for her. More than happy, and he could tell she had trouble containing her own excitement as well.
Hawkpaw crept up and sat down softly beside her, barely making a noise.]
“I know this is kind of late, but congratulations on becoming the medicine cat apprentice, Moonpaw.” [He gave her ear a swift lick before looking up towards Silverstar and Softkit, feeling joy for the little kit. It reminded him of how he was when he was finally made an apprentice.] “Who do you think's going to mentor Softkit? I bet Silverstar already wants to assign Thunderflight an apprentice, don't you?”
[He spoke softly and continued to stare at his leader with his big golden-amber eyes, so that it didn't look like he was chatting about trivial matters. His tail-tip twitched, quivering for a moment in anticipation.]

[Moonpaw flicked her tail lightly in his face hiding her surprise.]
"About time!" she mewed teasingly.
"Thank you anyways. I'm sure Thundeflight with be receiving an apprentice but are you sure it won't be her father? Thor?" she mewed eyeing the large tom.
"Well, anyways, I'm really happy for her. Finding her father and all and then so soon after she was made a warrior." she mewed eyes shining.
"But you must tell me all about that battle with the Star Slayers. I'm sure you two fought very well!" she excalimed looking at him proudly.
"But surely you haven't any injuries? Otherwise you would've came to me and I could've healed them. Since I am of course apprentice medicine cat." she mewed seriously.
[Realizing her barrage of words and that they were at a clan meeting she embarrassedly looked down and shut her mouth.]

[I saw Moonpaw and immediately jumped up, excitement rippling in my pelt. I began to make my way over to them, then froze.
Wait... I thought, ...Hawkpaw and Moonpaw haven't seen each other in a while. Perhaps I should leave them alone?
I huffed in dismay. I hadn't spoken to Moonpaw yet, and had an ache to be with my friend again. Plus, there was that dream that was troubling me...that terrible, strange dream...and I wanted to talk with her about it. But it was obvious she was busy.
I sat down again, unsure what to do. I wasn't very interested in the ceremony-I liked Softkit very much, but I was more interested in Moonpaw.]

“Oh, that's true...But Thor still needs to be taught the ways of StormClan, like Silverstar said, so I doubt he'll be mentoring any kit anytime soon. His own kit will be mentoring him!” [Hawkpaw snickered, trying to hold back a mreow of laughter, since the meeting was about to commence. Still, he shuffled a bit closer to Moonpaw so he wouldn't have to speak loudly. His eyes glittering, he proudly puffed out his chest.] “Ah yes, the Slayers...I have to tell you, they were the biggest cats you could ever imagine! I remember the battle all too well...All four Clans sent a couple cats to gather the remedy, while the strongest and fastest lured the lion and his mate--Ravage and Comet were their names, if I can recall correctly--away from the patch of herbs they were guarding. As the selected few retrieved the remedy, we all fought those two monsters with everything we had. But it wasn't easy. They were only there in spirit, and when they fought, they're have to summon a part of themselves to become physical. In most cases, they only materialized their paws. But I'm telling you, they had paws big enough to smack three warriors into the air at once! Thunderflight and I fought Ravage like it was to the death! She was like a flurry of teeth and claws, distracting that demon as I bit into his forepaw and tried to rip off his dew claw. And I held on pretty tight. Ravage had to rip me off of him! Just look at the bite wounds he gave me!”
[Hawkpaw twisted his torso to show the large bite marks on his back. They were healing quite nicely, and the pain was numbing. His eyes glimmering with pride, triumph and pain, he turned back to Moonpaw.]
“No one escaped unscathed. Not even Silverstar. But don't worry, Moonpaw. If any of us need anything, we'll be sure to consult you from now on.” [His eyes lit up again and he touched his nose to hers, feeling honored to sit beside a medicine cat apprentice. He glanced at Thunderflight, seeing how she wanted to approach them, but strayed away. His ears drooped, and he sighed.] “...Moonpaw, why can't we all just...I don't know. It's just that, whenever I even speak to you, Thunderflight looks all...I don't know...Jealous, I guess.”___________________________

[I watched Moonpaw and Hawkpaw talking, and realized he was telling her of the Star Slayers. I tried not to pout. I had wanted to tell her first!
I was so jealous. It seemed Moonpaw and Hawkpaw had already reunited. I had been too lazy too. I shook my head to myself. Silly me...I shouldn't be jealous of Hawkpaw's closeness with Moonpaw. I'll get my chance to be close to her, too! I just have to let them have their time, and then I can talk to her.
Resolved on this, my face brightened, and I looked ahead cheerily, waiting for the ceremony to commence, slightly curious as to who Softkit's mentor would be.]

[Moonpaw gazed proudly at him as she heard how well they'd all fought.
She closed her eyes as his nose touched hers.
She blinked warmly at his words.]
"Thunderflight shouldn't take our actions the wrong way. I love you really, I do. Like a brother more than a lover. Besides you and I can.. never be." she mewed looking at him seriously.
"I.. I have to go to her now. Farewell." she whispered almost sadly, in his ear as she stalked away.
[Sneaking and weaving, Moonpaw made her way across the group of gathering cats and ended up beside Thunderflight.
Her excitement mounted as she came to sit beside her close friend.]
"Thunderflight! I'm so happy for you! Please meet me after this meeting because I'm sure Silverstar has some great plans for you." she whispered in hushed excitement.
[Clamping her mouth firmly closed and turning her head to Silverstar, she flicked her tail across Thunderflight's ears in a sign of affection.]

[I purred, excited now that Moonpaw had come, but felt dismayed that she was silent. I ruffled my fur and licked her ear happily.]
"There are plenty of things I want to talk with you about," I said excitedly, "especially since we've been gone for so long."
[Hesitating, my cheerful mood dropped. A dark look crossed my face.]
"Especially these dreams I've been having," I whispered, dropping my voice in respect for the ceremony. "But I'll wait; this is Softkit's moment anyhow."

H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________[Hawkpaw was left with his mouth wide open. Having not expected something of that gravity to come from his friend, he slunk back towards the apprentices' den, ears flat with thought.]
Well, I do suppose I've stolen enough time with Moonpaw away from Thunderflight...She should be able to speak with her, now that I'm out of the way...I mean, yeah...Wait, I just barely spoke to her! Ugh...She-cats are all so troublesome...
[He huffed, layed down and placing his head upon his paws. His eyes continued to dart from Silverstar to Thunderflight and Moonpaw, wondering what they might be discussing.]___________________________

CindermoonCindermoon smiled as Thunderpaw became Thunderflight, she deserved it and the deputy was happy that Moonpaw became Starpelt's apprenitce. She would be a greta medicine cat, maybe she would be the full medicine cat if Cindermoon ever lied to the day when she became leader of StormClan. The dark gray she-cat didn't want Silverstar to die at all, btu she couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to stand on Fernhill and adress the clan. But my time will come, I shall wait and learn all I can from Silverstar as her deputy. Besides, I love serving my best friend. Her cloudy blue eyes darted up as Silverstar annouced an apprentice cerimony. She smiled at the thought of little Softkit becomign an apprentice.Cindermoon truely hoped Silverstar would let her mentor the she-cat, the deputy hadn't mentored an apprentice since her first apprenitce, Redpaw. ThorThe large gray tom smiled at his daughter. He padded over to her side and purred, "Congradulation my daughter, you shall make a wonderful warrior." Thor pricked his ears as Silverstar spoke again. Again? Why does this all have to happen for a kit to turn six moons? Thor sighed, at the moment he didn't really care. The tom still turned his robin blue eyes up toward the leader and waited patiently. He doubted that Silverstar would give himt eh kit to mentor, since he had just joined the clan, but the past rogue didn't mind. He'd rather spend his days hunting and fighting then teaching a kit. FadingkitThe small kit hung in the shadows of the camp. She didn't even go to speak to Thunderflight and Moonpaw, what did she care? They never seemed to like her anyways. her deep blue eyes then turned toward Softkit. She snorted at the kit. Most kits would be sad with their denmates leavig but Fadingkit had actually been looking forward to the gray kit leaving the nursery. The small kit turned away from the clan and faced the shadows of the bushes. Fadingkit curled up in a tight ball and covered her face with her paws. She still had three moons to wait before becoming an apprentice and she knew that what ever cat got her wouldn't be happy. She was a failure, that was all she was and all she could ever be.

"Thank you, father," I purred.
[I leaned against him happily, my tail swishing over his back. I glanced at Moonpaw, eyes glittering happily and proudly, and my eyes once again returned to Softkit.]

___________________________________________ [Silverstar waited for the noise to die down before continuing.]
"From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Softpaw. Thunderflight, you have been a warrior for only a short time, but you are ready for an apprentice. You have shown bravery and perseverence. And now you are ready to become a mentor," Silverstar meowed, then mentor and apprentice touched noses.
[The Clan chanted Softpaw's new name as Silverstar leapt down from the Fernhill, padding quickly over to Thunderflight and licking her ear in congratulations.]
"I could never be more proud of my apprentice in my life. You'll be an excellent mentor," Silverstar meowed, pride overwhelming her. _________________________________________

((Hm, some cats from the Clans went and got the remedy for the Madness and are back. Thunderpaw's a warrior, Thunderflight, and her apprentice is Softpaw. Thunderflight's father, Thor, has joined StormClan (for the time being) and is trying to learn the ways of the warrior code. Hm, I think that's about it.))

[He gazed over at his mate, who was frowning for a second, and padded over to her]
"What's wrong?"
[She shook her head]
"Nothing. Congratulations, Thunderflight. You'll make a great mentor"
[She smiled a little before padding away, I want to be a mentor..]
[Riverfang stared after her, watching her go. He shook his head lightly, she'll be ok...]
