The Sorting Test: I'm more concerned with the sorting, and not the test itself. Of course when making the test (like Kaelyn said) it shouldn't be overtly difficult and confusing like a real test. It just gives a gist of where you'll most fit in.
Because even in the books: It's both personality/qualities and choice, evidenced by Harry's sorting.

(I do like Phil's question though)

Another thing: For those members who will be inactive, they are supposed to post in the Student Message Board. I just remembered that from reading Forever_Away's post. She gave us a headsup, so even if she doesn't post for the next few ages, we'll know in advance because she posted it where she was supposed to.

Activity-wise, how does moving students up to the next year work? Since there's been alot of inactivity, I don't think my 7th year should be allowed to graduate. So do the inactive ones get held back? Dropped down a level?

I don't think anything has been confirmed for that. My suggestion is tehy get dropped down a level. However because Angil is a student and our longest student I think she should make the decision on that. I don't know how my suggestion would work with the banning system set in place. (That thing seems soo ____ we really need to implement that again)'

Also Love Tantei made the calendar for the term, as soon as I have real access to my PMs I'll send it around

Just wanted to pop in... I don't have time to read anything... I've been really busy and finals are looming closer (I'm not ready for them at all). Plus, my dog died of Cancer last Tuesday... crying He was an 8-year old German Shepard named Spike (after Spike from Rugrats; "and Spike was our hero!" My little sister named him, she would have been about 7) Anyways, I just didn't want you all to think I've forgotten you again. I'm thinking of you all, I just can't find the time to get on between school, family, my physical therapy (nothing serious), color guard, my boyfriend, and just keeping my sanity... But the semester ends soon and hopefully I'll have more time then...

No worries KT!

We're currently smoothing out a little bit of bumps and getting things ready for next term.

For next tem will anyone mind if we opened up the Teacher Feedback (and Term award) thing? I still need to make some last minute modifications though.

Starting January (or at the latest February) I would like it if we renewed the whole Top poster things (we can place those names in the Trophy Room along with House Cups and such). That big UC thread at the bottom of this subforum can finally be opened and we can start posting our lists there along with the top poster in our house. That way it'll be easy to figure out that stuff. Not only that we need to add a column for total posts from that House (for that month) in our postings. It could go at the very bottom. The elf list is a bit messed up and I plan on fixing that over my Xmas break. When I get around to doing that I'll add a column to demonstrate what I'm talking about.
Any thoughts? Is it too much?

If we start it February it could coincide with another idea I have. When we do the End of Term celebration how about we do a part where we hand out (annouce to the guild) those awards? (Teacher of the Term, House Cup winner, and student posters)

While I'm all for rewarding active membership, is rewarding the people who post most the best course of action?

I've noticed some people respond to 20 threads a day with 3 word posts that say "I agree" or "I like balloons" or " gonk "

Other people manage to reply to questions in multiple posts, 1 after the other, like so: (quotations will separate each individual post)

"Bob: Who is your favourite Harry Potter character?"
"Jim: I like Harry!"
"Jim: But I also like Luna!"
"Jim: Though Snape is pretty cool, too!"
"Jim: gonk I can't decide."
"Jim: No, it's definitely Harry."

In the above circumstances, does Jim get 5 post counts added? Does he get 20 more for agreeing to any and all discussions without actually giving any input at all?

I agree with Phil, some people don't contribute much more than well, spam. Look at some of the games, especially when the person doesn't know how to correctly "play" it but they have massive spam posts in that specific game.

I'm one of those who don't contribute much either though, but it's hard to just continually talk about Harry Potter as much as I do love the series. Plus i'm a perfectionist, so if I have a fact or something wrong I feel incredibly stupid. :'x

Okay...do changes need to be made to this before it is transferred to the Entrance Hall? You seem uncertain about the House-elf teacher applications...

Right-o.

4 new locker rooms, an SFQ thread, a rules thread, and a practice game have been made at the quidditch pitch.

If any one could announce the rules thread, sticky the SFQ thread and delete all the old stuff (or move it, if that's the guilds wish) that'd be grand.

We're also holding a practice game right now, and everyone is invited to play. All heads of house are considered captains for this practice game, so if you haven't read up on the rules yet, I recommend you do so that you can post when it's a captain's turn!

I deleted all my messages, so go ahead and use that account to send the House-elf applications to. Actually send them to Katkepin if you can. Whatever changes you'll like to make would be fine with me regarding the rest of the message.

@Phil: I get what you're saying (I really do) and I see that that is a problem as well as posting constantly in the Games subforum. We find top posters by the amount of posts tallied in the Guildsmemberslist. However there isn't really a way that we can easily do your idea unless a moderator wants to go through all the subforums and count up everyone's posts (excluding the Games subforum). That will be a very time consuming job
Quidditch: I'll make the changes if they haven't been made already, and check it out.
